Hi, I'm Jessica. As the owner of Lakes Professional Painting, I am involved in each and every project and am the point person for all my clients. I take pride in prompt service and excellent quality. We needed to paint our bedrooms in our new home, the work crew came led by Jason Wilson. They were punctual, professional and cleaned after themselves. My wife and I were really impressed with their work. We will hire Lakes Professional painting co again in the future.

The powerwash was done a couple weeks after the purchase, since then they have cancelled the stain application 3 times due to weather, 2 of which were perfectly sunny, warm days. It is not too late in Michigan to perform this work. On a side note, I have had multiple instances now with them using the Angie's List message system where it appeared as if my messages were going unanswered. Then I would get multiple responses from them at once, each one appearing to answer my prior unanswered question. They are blaming that on delays in the Angie's List message system, claiming they DID answer my questions but the message to me was delayed for some reason. I don't know if that is true or not. If it is true it will drastically change how I review them.

It was quite a pleasant experience. Our estimator Pat was a hoot and all of the painters were so nice. Everything looks fantastic and we got a nice hand written thank you note from the owner, Jessica.

Everything went smoothly and the workmen were all very professional. It went quickly; just one day. The office girl was very nice and helpful with picking what color we should go with.

Great! They were in the middle price wise of all the estimates we got but I just really liked Jason. They got us in the schedule within 2 weeks. It took 4 days to complete the work and it looks great. :)

Not very well. Jessica did her best to make this better, but all in all my completed paint job was mediocre. I normally paint my interior but due to time constraints, needed some help. The first time I used them it went BEAUTIFULLY...the second time...not so much.!!! Although Jessica was able to make a very bad situation better, the quality of the final paint job was substandard.....but I settled for it. The first painter sent was disastrous... did not get one single wall in my home painted nor cut in. Not sure what her problem was but she was definitely not with it. Jessica then sent over to men to do the job and although I finally got paint on my walls their attention to detail was very poor...missed areas around the window, got pain on my trim, etc. Unfortunately, I won't be doing business again with Lakes Professional. It was challenging to give a rating since the first painter was absolutely useless; Jessica did her best to resolve and second painters were just ok... nice people but the job did not reflect as professional.

Jessica was very professional. I was not at home when the work was completed. However, everything looked good on first inspection. However, we noticed many spots were missed in the painting process. I did contact Jessica. She was going to send someone out, instead I decided to complete the work. The work was competed July 2015. In the spring of 2016, we noticed that the paint was peeling on the deck surface. My husband spoke to Jessica. She indicated that because of the harsh Michigan weather that the stain/paint does not always stay on. If we would like to paint it again, and PAY again, they would be happy to come out. We declined her offer. I hired our regular painter to come out and fix the deck. He quickly surmised that they used an exterior latex paint that is used on the exterior of houses and should not be used on decks (DuraCraft-Sherwin Williams) instead of using Super Deck (Sherwin Williams) exterior deck stain/paint. We will not be using Lakes Professional Painting again.

Their team (Logan & Lauren) did a great job on my deck! Even though we had to re-schedule 4 or 5x because of the weather, Logan would call me each week and give me an update on the next scheduled appointment. Once we finally had a clear day, they came out on time and worked way later than I expected to complete the job. Have had many friends & family members compliment the appearance of my deck since. Would recommend and use again with no hesitation!

All went fine. Jessica was very responsive to questions and answered them promptly and efficiently. All work was done on time, and the quality of the work was good. We plan to use them again for some interior paint work.

Everything went really smoothly. We called a couple other companies and they didn't even show up - it's like some people don't even want money! But we got an estimate within 48 hours of calling to schedule and the estimator, Pat was just the nicest guy (and he was on time!). We got in the schedule to have the work done less than 2 weeks from the estimate date and the painters/repairmen who came out to do the work were on time each day, worked hard, and were very polite. We're really happy with everything, it looks great!

I was pleasantly surprised that the coat for painting included power washing and gutter cleaning. It looks lime a new house which will hopefully help it sell. Everyone was clean cut and they worked very fast.

Long story short. Communication was a big issue with this company. Showed up 3 days early without informing us. Didn't get the pictures I sent through Angie's website before the scheduled date. And never followed up to get the pictures using other method. Miscommunication between the young crew and office is also a problem in terms of understanding which area needed to be cleaned. Didn't take responsibility with the communication issue. Instead, blamed on Angie's website with the issue. Broke outdoor faucet fitting. We had to have plumber out to fix the issue.

"We arrived to pressure wash and found her deck was much larger than the coupon covers. She wanted us to do 2 separate decks connected by a walkway through a swamp. Her deck was not a good fit for the coupon and she did not want to pay for extra areas. She also tried to blame us for breaking a faucet that was already broken when we arrived. We did not 'stop in the middle', we just only gave her what the coupon covers. There was no communication issue other than her refusal to accept anything other than our company giving her more area than the coupon covered for free. She knows it is true that the photos she sent did not go through because they did not attach properly through the Angie's List Business Center because I showed her a screen shot. This client was unreasonable and rude."
