<p>Do Not Use this company, going out of business.  Not returning any phone calls, I now owe for the material he used on my home.  I cannot reach him and it is really sad, because overall he did a good job and was nice. I Feel totally taken advantage of, I paid him in full, he did not pay for my materials, so now I have too, or they lien my home.  WARNING  DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I have today received a letter, stating that La Mesa Stucco owes Thompson Building Supply for material for my home, $1500.00, If I don't pay, they will place a lien on my home,  No call back from La Mesa Stucco,  Wow, I do not have $1500.00   Now What????  </p> <p><br /> </p> <p>This entire paragraph no longer matters: It went great.  As a single woman , his was quite a big project for me.  Robert explained all aspects and steps of the process, The house looks amazing, The siding was ripped off, wow, then the grey coat, cement, then finally the color coat, it does take awhile - but the finished product, is amazing. My neighbors love it. ************UPDATE************** <br /> 10/6/2014*****GOT A CALL FROM ROBERT THE OWNER ADVISING ME THAT HIS COMPANY HAS RETAINED AN ATTORNEY FOR A BANKRUPTCY AND THAT HIS BUSINESS IS GOING UNDER.  MY HOUSE IS STILL NOT FINISHED.  IT NEEDS A COLOR COAT AND POP OUTS AROUND THE WINDOWS.  AND HE HASNT PAID THOMPSON MATERIALS FOR THE SUPPLIES.  NOW IM STUCK PAYING 2500 TO THOMPSON OR THEY WILL LIEN MY HOUSE!!!!!!! <br /> <br /> <br /> 8/2014-wood siding has been demoed and house wrapped w paper and chicken wire.  Crew is here today (8/13/14) putting on the scratch coat.  Back yard looks like a cement truck blew up (which is too be expected given what's happening)  but they have adequately covered the ground around the pool, decks, windows and 5 sliding glass doors.   Will update and post pictures at a later date.  Keep up the great work!!! <br /> <br />

Robert and his team did an outstanding job.  The quality of work was excellent, on time and the job site was kept very clean. Robert kept us informed on every aspect of the job. We have already asked Robert to perform additional work on our home.   We are extremely happy! <br />

Several years ago we asked some friends who had stuucco'd their house because it looked so good and fresh. They told us La Mesa Stucco had done it 8 years ago! It looked like it had had justbbeen done. So we were pretty sure we were going to use La Mesa Stucco, but we got several bids and interviewed a few other companies as all good consumers shold but in the end we went with our instincts and we were very happy. Robert runs an honest professional business and they do great work. I can't give good ratings for the painter that he suggested we use, but that is no reflection on La Mesa Stucco. We highly recommend La Mesa Stucco!

Robert had the best price in town.  They arrived when they said they would.  After sandblasting we needed time to do some work on the outside of the house.  I called him when we were done and he was out to do the stucco in a timely manner.  It looks great!  I like that the owner is on the job.  That means quality control of the product. Robert and his team worked fast and neatly.  I'm very happy with the finished product.  Several homes on my street were done by La Mesa Stucco.  They are holding up great so I know my house will be looking great for years to come.  I will recommend La Mesa Stucco to anyone needing this service.  Thank you for making my mom's house the jewel of the neighbor hood. <br />

The job went very smoothly and resulted in a new, very modern look to the home. Robert and crew were prompt, and were generally interested in the quality of the end product. I would definitely use him again and recommend him to others. <br />

Robert provided the most informative interview of any potential stucco contractor. He had decorative foam samples and ideas on what would look good on our house. He provided color samples from two different suppliers. We showed him a quatrefoille design that was not in his standard foam shapes and he found what we were looking for. Robert was the only potential contractor that gave us a list of addresses of previous customers so that we could assess the quality of his work. This also helped us decide which popouts to use on our house.  In addition, he was the lowest price bidder. Our house used to be the "Plain Jane" on the block. Since completion of the stucco job, we have had at least 10 people complement us on how nice our house looks now. <strong>We are very pleased!<br /> </strong> <br /> <br />

This is a several week process which starts with the paper and lath person coming out for several days to prepare the house for the stucco. Then the stucco crew  applies the stucco and takes two days. This has to stand for at least 3 weeks. During that time, the old stucco which was painted has to be sandblasted and the neighbors have to be warned. After the 3 weeks the color coat and texture are applied. Each step has to be scheduled separately and actually worked well for us because we had other construction crews doing various other jobs on our house at the same time. <br /> Throughout this process Robert, owner of the company was in constant contact with us. He is professional and highly responsible. He returns phone calls right away and answers any questions or concerns immediately. When working with him to plan the stucco it was really a pleasure. He worked for solutions to the problem of our 50 year old house (with many exterior issues) to find the best and most reasonable solutions based on what we told him we wanted.  We had new construction windows and doors with new jambs installed instead of the retrofit kind which meant we had removed at least 1 foot of stucco around 4 doors and 3 windows and in some places even more stucco due to replacing rotten bathroom walls, etc. <br /> When Robert's crew was available he would call a day or two ahead and tell us when they would be there. They showed up on time. When the whole process was over, they cleaned up. During the sandblasting they covered our windows and doors and also the next door neighbors' on both sides and cleaned up after wards. The neighbors were also impressed. <br /> Robert also has a set contract whereby you pay each step of the way after the process is completed as most contractors and home owners should insist on and don't always do.  We had 4 estimates and La Mesa Stucco was  the most responsive and realistic and included exactly what we had asked for.  <br /> End result is our house looks beautiful and really better than we ever could have hoped. You can not tell where the old stucco ends and the new stucco starts.  We strongly recommend La Mesa Stucco for all stucco needs. <br />

La Mesa Stucco did a great job on the stucco and the best paint job I've ever had on the wood trim and I only had to contract with La Mesa Stucco which was a bonus to me. Robert, the owner of La Mesa Stucco is a prefectionist, really knows his work and is a pleasure to work with. They are dependable and cleaned up the work site each day. Price included stucco on house, fireplace chimney, concrete wall in front of patio and painting. It was just above the average quote but included sandblasting and painting permitting use of a single contractor. I'm very pleased with the results. <br />

The stucco and paint work looks really good and the house looks like new.  My overall experience was really good and the company's owner, Robert, was easy to deal with.

Did you ever select a paint from a paint swatch and then after you painted the room, think "Oooopsss", what was I thinking? Well this is what happened to us, well it was me (my husband not included).  We knew we would have to live with whatever color we chose for a long, long time so I looked and looked and thought I had found just the perfect color.  La Mesa Stucco, came on a Friday to start the job. Luckily they chose to start on the side of the house nobody sees.  Luckily (for me) they only had time to do that one wall the first day they came.  After the stucco dried, my husband, my daughter, and yes, even me thought I'd goofed because the color turned out too yellow.  The job was to be finished on Monday (and I would have had to live with "I told you I didn't like it"  from my husband for a very long time).  In a panic, I called La Mesa Stucco on a Sunday afternoon and requested that they call me back before going any further with the work because I was not liking the color.  Much to my surprise, I was called back within the hour, on a Sunday (now who listens to their work messages on a Sunday?), and I asked if I could change my mind (a woman's perogitive) on the color .  After a few minutes of pause, and an explanation that they had their truck loaded up with the present color and would run behind schedule if they had to change it now, I agreed to delay the job for whatever time necessary as the mistake was clearly my fault and not La Mesa Stucco's.  The next morning bright and early they showed up at  the house and told me they would go ahead and complete the work as originally scheduled and that I might have to pay a small restocking fee (which I was happy to do),  The new color we picked went on without a hitch.  We all love it.  We are all really happy with the workmanship and professionalism of the La Mesa Stucco crew.  I would recommend La Mesa stucco in a New York minute.  They took good care of us and my house now looks brand new!!!

Absolutely the best. The prep person was unbelievably helpful with suggestions. The preparation is the key to a good looking job. The stucco took a while but came out great.

LA MESA STUCCO WORKERS WERE VERY PROMPT. THEY CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES AND GAVE INSTRUCTION TO TAKE CARE OF THE NEW STUCCO. THE GAVE US IDEAS ADDRESSES OF ACTUAL HOMES TO LOOK AT TO PICK THE COLOR OF OUR STUCCO.
