Lathe Brogden

For the most part it went well. Lathe was responsive, professional, gave a solid quote on teh work. His install man did an excellant job with the new drywall. His drywall finisher started well, but then fell off with punctuality and quality of the work. Lathe ended up paying our contractor to do some finishing of the work, but that didn't go very well either. For the most part the quality of the finished work was good. But there were areas that should have been better prepped for painting. <br />

They were punctual. They noticed other problems while they were here so they fixed some extra stuff. Everything fit together. Their service was outstanding, and their price was excellent.

Flawless experience at a reasonable price.

I had a problem wall that had been bothering me because it was so uneven.  They came up with a great solution ( a texture not as heavy as stucco, but textured enough to make the wall look even and consistent without so much texture that it doesn?t fit in. <br /> I needed a solution to finish out high narrow windows that are just to provide light and passive solar.  They put a rounded finish on them that takes away the need for trim and is exactly what I wanted.  I was lucky in that they were finishing a job early and could get to mine very fast.  Within a week they were done and all looked great and was dry.

Left a message on Friday and he came over Monday. Gave a quote on the spot after looking at it. He knows drywall for sure. Scheduled for a week from that Thursday. Called Wednesday to confirm and he called back saying he was sorry but he did not put it on his other calendar and had some people out of town so could not come. I told him i really needed it and was disappointed. He then called around and got another helper and was able to come to the job on the correct day. Workers were very very nice, good, and fast. Good job cleaning up. Much less mess then others i have used. Drywalled in half a day and came back the next day to texture. Matched the existing texture (knockdown) perfectly! Looked great. Very nice the second day also and clean. Made sure I was happy before leaving. Recommended.

Prep work took several hours one day and application of texture required several hours on the following day. I did not request a formal cost estimate. I found final cost of $150 to be very reasonable for a job that required 8-10 man hours of work with specialized equipment for spraying the texture and the use of plastic sheeting to prevent accidental spraying of texture elsewhere.
