Wonderfully! Prompt. Reliable. Efficient. Cost-effective. Dave Law came out early this spring, before I embarked on an extensive makeover of my back yard, including a new stone retaining wall. The job required removal of previous wooden slat fencing (including posts) and gates. All posts were replaced for the new fencing panels. Two new gates were manufactured and installed. After the landscape crew finished the retaining wall, Dave and his guys came back to complete the iron fencing; it required some ingenuity on the part of the crew, because the new fencing had to be worked around a shed and accommodate two levels of ground. In other words, a lot of customized work, including two more made-to-order gates. The crew (2-½ men, literally--the welder came as needed). The gates are all beautifully balanced, to close automatically. The guys were courteous, professional, ingenious, and efficient! My property looks very classy now! Thanks, Dave Law, and thanks Dave's super crew! I would (and will) recommend this company to anyone needing fencing. My only regret is that I have nothing left to fence in myself!

He was there in the mud, and did a great job despite the weather. The gate looks great and is strong and works great. The fence is set into metal poles so it won't fall down again (probably) in my lifetime. Very pleasant and a hard worker.

It went OK. He was pretty good about showing up promptly. One of the wooden posts was starting to rot. Rather than replace that section of fence, he was able to put in a support that saved me a lot of money.

Dave was very easy to work with and very professional. The fence is a style that is no longer common, requiring-16 foot cedar planks. His price was by far the most reasonable among the bids that we had. He and his helper did excellent work. They were very quick to fix the few very minor problems that we encountered. <br />

<p> Several sections of the fence were too high which caused a noticeable gap at the bottom of the fence which was not there before the replacement. Many sections of pickets are uneven and not cut in a uniform manner. Specific issues discussed during the walk through with Property Management representative:</p> <ol> <li> <p>1. Unevenness of the fence at ground level – some sections sitting on gravel with others 6-8” off the ground </p> </li> <li> <p>2. Two sections do not butt up to the brick pillar on both sides.</p> </li> <li> <p>3. Saw cuts on the bottoms are splintered</p> </li> <li> <p>4. Thin spacer inserts </p> </li> <li> <p>5. Overall uneven spacing between pickets</p> </li> <li> <p>6. Pickets have unmatched dog ear cuts <br /> <br /></p> </li> </ol> <p>Estimates and bids included materials, labor and specified the use of screws while the final work used nails further complicated the requested changes. <br /> <br /></p> <p>Correction of the above specified issues were requested before the work would be accepted, the contract fulfilled and payment issued.</p> <br /> <br /> <p>For 6+ months, we attempted to address and correct the issues with the work. This included many emails, at least one walk through with the property management representative and months of attempting to schedule meetings with their representative.</p> <p>The owner of Law Fence initiated legal action against the HOA to force payment. With no response to correct the issue, elapsed time, and no indication that the requested corrections would ever happen, it was decided to issue the check and move on.</p> <p>The HOA now must pay another contractor to complete the work properly.</p> <br />

"The review contains many untruths and exaggerations. First of all, I did not contract with the member who wrote the review. I was contracted by the HOA. I never even talked to [removed member name] about the fence contract. There were some issues raised by the HOA. I attempted several times to meet with the HOA representative at the site but they would not meet with me to discuss the issues. The HOA would not discuss the issues and would not respond to inquiries about payment, and it was necessary to file a lawsuit to collect the amount due on the contract. The HOA did pay the full amount due on the contract, plus court costs and process server fees, in order to conclude the matter. The new fence was reinstalled exactly as the old fence was, which is what the HOA asked for. I have no idea what item number 2 is about. That part was never brought to my attention. The saw cuts on the bottom of the pickets were factory cuts as purchased from Lowes. The HOA did not mention anything about thin spacer inserts, but spacer inserts are common when installing a fence. The uneven spacing was caused by uneven shrinkage of the individual pickets. If the pickets are green when they come from the supplier, sometimes they shrink. The HOA never brought that issue up to me. The dog ear cuts are as they come from the factory, are mass produced, and are within specifications. The contract did not require the use of screws, and ring shanked nails were used which are industry standard. None of the nails were pulled out and they look fine. The HOA did not bring up any issue about screws versus nails. All of this would have been explained in detail to the HOA if they would have simply communicated with me about these issues, but they refused to talk and just stonewalled me on the collection for the fence. I have seen the fence from the street after installing it, and it looks just fine. The review filed by [removed member name], presumably for the HOA, is just sour grapes because they had to pay and it made them look bad."

Excellent work! They were the only fence company we called who suggested using the metal Postmaster fence posts. The work was done quickly and was excellent quality. We only had one strech done, but my neighbor had his entire yard done.
