"she wanted something for nothing and when I wouldn't comply she threatened us. BBB closed this customer as well. Rude and entitled woman."
"We are happy this customer is pleased with the result of the work. We replaced an entire double rotted sill, double rotted sill nose and replaced capping on the double window. We are not sure of any reputable company that would install an entire new window of a high quality and cut out the rot underneath it for that price."
"Thanks [Member Name Removed] for the kind words. You included our address in your review by mistake."
"Again this customer has not said a word to us about the work, only will post about it here. Yes the windows are vinyl, but on the exterior of the windows is aluminum capping as with most windows of that type and scraping anything would ruin the aluminum as we stated earlier. Yes, the goal was to keep the water out and a seal is formed by adding sealant. We did use clear sealant as we specifically ordered exterior grade clear for this customer which is underneath the white sealant as the vinyl windows and aluminum capping is white. Ronnie thoroughly explains what needs to be done and what is done to each customer and has been doing this for over 30 years. We pride ourselves on customer service and Ronnie would never treat anyone, especially a woman as if they are dumb and he respects everyone equally. He will explain his expertise in the area and educate people even if they think differently or do not accept what he is saying. We would have been happy to speak privately to this customer or return to her home to correct anything she feels is wrong but she is unwilling to speak with us directly and has only stated any of these complaints on this site. Talking about it not raining up was not a "cute remark", it is showing that based on the issue we were rectifying which was water infiltration, we did the best we could to complete that on windows that were not installed correctly to begin with. We made sure there was sealnt on the areas that water would get into and since it does not go upwards, we troweled in as much selant as we could at the top but it wasn't the most critical area to seal. Since there was such a gap based on the bad install, it would have looked worse to have gobs of selant in there that would only cover the entire area if it were smushed and spread as no sealant gun nozzle is large enough to lay a bead that would cover such a gap. Our door will continue to remain open this customer and any who have an issue if they choose to reach out to us directly and we will do anything we can to rectify the situation to everyone's satisfaction."
"We explained to this customer when we quoted the repair and when we got there that with different caulk jobs laid on those windows over the last however many years, there was no way to cut that caulk out to have all clean lines. If we tried to scrape that caulk off or use any tools to cut that caulk out, it would take the paint off the aluminum down to the metal which would look worse. We went over the caulking job with her before we left. She mentioned zero issues when we were there performing the work and did not contact us afterwards to express any complaints. She promptly paid for the service with a check and then emailed nicely asking for a receipt. She never once expressed concern or issues that she wanted us to address about the work. She hired us to caulk 34 windows which was on her estimate she agreed to and which she payed for without an issue or mention to the office when asking for the receipt. This review is the very first we are hearing about her being unhappy with the work. If she would have called or emailed to speak with us about it we would have happily went back to address any issues she had and make sure everything was done to her satisfaction. As far as the caulking across the top on a couple of the windows, the people that installed the windows installed the capping too close to the angle on the extrusion. Even with the longest noses that we have to apply caulk, we could not get a bead in as you can see from the original caulk line, neither could they after they installed it. Going on the assumption that it doesn't rain up, we got a little clear sealant in there the best we could with thin trowels. Quite frankly, she paid to get those windows sealed from water and that is it. The only way to get that job to look perfect is to tear off all the capping, cut some of the top frame back and recap the entire frame over again which would be a fortune. The main goal of this repair was to stop water intrusion which was successfully done."
