Leatherman Restoration

I e mailed her, told her what I wanted, sent her a picture of my chair, she gave me an estimate based on my picture. We set a time. <br /> She arrived on time, we set her up on a table in my shop and brought the seat, back cushion and footstool to her. I had disassembled the seat to remove from chair and the pad from the foot stool. <br /> She explained the process, explained the range of potential results based on the nature of leather and dyes. I received a written estimate and a generous Angies discount, with a disclaimer about dye variations. All very clearly explained. <br /> She proceed to work and worked diligently for 5 hours, she explained every step patiently and was very professional and particular about the work. She custom mixed the dye color to my wishes and spent a long time applying it <br /> She is a very accommodating, very nice and very professional woman and proud of her craft. <br /> I am very pleased with the results and have already recommended her to friends, one who told me he used Leatherman 5 years ago and is still happy with the results. <br /> The aroma of the dye dissipates in 2-3 days <br />

He said he would add more foam to the top however I said that if he felt it needed the foam completely replaced then I would pay additional to do it right. Instead he cut corners and added foam so now there is a lump which hasnt settled down like he said it would. I asked him why he did it this way when he delivered it and he said to keep the price down. I reminded him like i said before i would pay more to do it right since he already would have the couch apart. He knows his business and was prompt and speedy but I wish he would have fixed it right so the cushion isnt higher than the others.  <br /> <br />

Michael was amazingly prompt and professional. He explained the services he could offer, and what results I could expect. He and his assistant were courteous, tidy and unobtrusive while they worked on the portion of the job that was done on site. When the newly made leather cushion for an older leather chair matched a piece of the original leather but not the old and now faded chair itself, he restored the chair to match the new cushion without an extra charge. We are very pleased with the results and would hire Leatherman again in a heartbeat.
