The team members at Legacy Landscaping Services, led by founder Gary Scharf, bring decades of experience in all aspects of landscape design and care along with a true passion for the business and for the customer. Founded in 1994 with a focus on irrigation needs, the company has grown over more than 20 years to include a broad range of services that, combined, enable clients to create and realize the landscape design they have always envisioned. Execution defects included scarred trees from poor handling. Removal of totally broken trees took days. Specified fruit trees were never provided. Maintenance contract 90 % ignored. No weeding. No re mulching. No pruning. Improper sprinkler heads installed. 1/2 of the sod died and became invaded with other species. Discovered Gary is not a licensed irrigator. Poor grass cutting. That was sub’d out. Entire crews quit ! 1 1/2 yrs of patience passed until I told Gary since he wasn’t returning to the property DON’T bother. Intentions are too seek damages legally after a new irrigation and 50 % of the sod is replaced AGAIN. Burmuda grass was never eliminated. Invaded the new St. Augustine. Gary and Richard both provide excellent lip service ! Crew turn over was evident !

My husband and I did some research on Angie's List before we contacted this company, and we were very impressed. Gary, the owner, came out the very next business day and we discussed what we were looking for and what we needed. Not only did we need sod, but a new irrigation system. For that, Gary sent out JP, who did an excellent job with the designing and implementing of the new system, as well. And whenever I had any questions, the office manager, Rachel, was very polite and professional and always a pleasure to deal with. Costs for the entire project of our backyard and total irrigation system replacement were very reasonable, and the job was completed in a very timely manner. Overall we were very pleased with the outcome, and would definitely hire this company again when it's time for the front yard.

The gentleman that did the work were extremely professional, courteous & very good @ what they do. They came when they were scheduled & stayed until they the job was completed. Their customer service is exceptional. I would highly recommend you give them an opportunity, you won’t be disappointed!

Our 20 year old sprinkler system was in need of an overhaul because over the years the turf had become deeper and the sprinkler heads did not pop up high enough to adequately water the lawn and plants. We also had heads that were not retracting or even popping up due to overgrown grass. JP came out to inspect the system. He was great to work with, and very knowledgeable. He gave us a very fair quote for the work, which was just completed today in a timely and workmanlike fashion to our great satisfaction. Fixing the irrigation is our first step in redoing our complete landscape. Gary, the owner, came out to take a look at what needs to be done with the new plants. He really knows what he is talking about. I worked for a number of years in turf management when in college, so I know when someone is an expert. We look forward to working with Legacy to get the landscaping at our home updated. Thank you JP and Gary.

They have handled my lawn irrigation since I have owned my home. They were the first people to find out two neighbors were tapping into my well and also the first to show up after the hurricane. They do an excellent job! I will recommend and use them, again.

JP came to the house. He's an irrigation specialist. He was very professional. Not only he did the repair on what was going on the box, he also checked the sprinkler and everything. His price is $75 but he gave us a discount because I'm a member of Angie's List. He was really good, knowledgeable. Very professional. I was so thrilled. He was on time. He was punctual. He did everything that he would do.

Requested an irrigation tuneup and controller for Received an appointment within days and technician was prompt and kept in touch over the phone. Was quoted $79; however, paid 3 x as much for a controller reset and irrigation tune up. Would not have minded the increase cost if a complete irrigation tune up was performed- had to hire another company to check the sprinklers because the lawn was dry and dying. Was told by second company that some of the sprinkler heads were not able to elevate due to depth of grass around the sprinkler heads which blocked the spray,— should have been an easy fix. As result had to pay a second lawn service to repeat the tune-up. Not sure I would hire again which is unfortunate- technician seemed very nice.

Communication, service, and responsiveness are not in this company's vocabulary. In fact one of their employees told me that communication was very poor and they all knew it. Originally we hired them to do some work and they completely forgot about us. I work an honest review which later they convinced me to remove (I did). So now I am writing another. LLS was supposed to come out and trim some shrubs. We notified/reminded them and when nothing happened we had to get someone else to do it. We have contacted them twice in the past few weeks and once again they are ignoring us. A word of caution, we wanted them to plant a new hedge in portions of the back yard. When they removed the Irma damaged plants those that remained looked bad and it was agreed that all of the plants should go. Next thing we knew they were planting more than just the hedge and we had zero input to those (we only selected the actual hedge). Admittedly, we liked the work they did but would have liked to have had more input.

The technician did an inspection and then he said he could repair the problems with the heads I had but he never said anything about the price. After a couple of hours he came back inside the house and said I still had some leaky valves but I could just close the main source when not in use. Then he said I owed him $500 because I had already paid for the first hour. It took me by surprise about this amount of money. My suggestion for them is to tell the client ahead of time how much it cost before performing the service. Thanks!

This was a total renovation to get the system up to speed and we only charged you $510. Our management company are dealing with this for us. Apparently the pump (just over one year old is not working) They will quote us for a new pump which is in the region of $400.00 plus. Whether or not this is justified we cannot yet say. Unfortunately we cannot complete the above Review at this time.
