A water pipe broke upstairs and did considerable damage. Lemus Contracting had to take down the kitchen cabinets and rebuild the drywall ceiling and walls, then put everything back up. The drywall all had to be repainted. The same type of work was necessary in the bathroom. They were helpful in proposing solutions to various problems that arose during the reconstruction. Finally they had to dry things out to prevent mold and also replace some of the laminate flooring which had been damaged in other rooms. I found them to be conscientious and punctual in their work. I have used them for other projects since then with similar results.

<p>We purchased a special of 4 hours of painting for $280. We had a small area of repir on our DR ceiling and on one DR wall. We provided the paint. Small projects are the worst to schedule since no one really wants to do them. the special seemed like the perfect solution for us. Alex contacted us a day after we made the purchase and was able to schedule this work prior to Thanksgiving. They sanded the areas that had been repaired, did a coat of primer and painted the small area on the ceiling. They painted the area on the wall and then went ahead and painted the rest of that single wall so the paint would match. </p> <p>2 guys worked for 4 hours on this project. They were very neat and careful to cover areas with drop cloths. they had to sand reapir areas so there was a fair amount of drywall dust but, that is to be expected.</p> <p>At some point we will need someone to come back out and paint the entire ceiling so there is a nice match in paint. The coupon would not cover that extra work.</p> <p>Very friendly people. They did not charge us for the primer they used. We purchased the rest of the paint ourselves.</p> <br />

Lemus Contracting was hired to repair drywall and a textured ceiling damaged from a major leak in my office, as well as two large fluorescent lights there were pulling away from the ceiling due to prior water damage, and another area of the ceiling that was damaged. He replaced all the drywall, a large section of the ceiling and painted when the work was complete. From the moment I contacted him, met him for the estimate to the completion of the job, Alex was professional and very considerate of my time and schedule. Alex (owner) and his men showed up every day when scheduled and were always polite and cleaned up each evening before they left. Alex did an amazing job and anyone walking into the office would never be able to tell there was ever any damage. With his reasonable prices, and professional work ethic, I will absolutely use his services again.

I picked Alex due to his positive reviews on Angie's list and I wasn't disappointed. Alex is a true professional and produces a quality product. Tearing down a damaged ceiling and replacing, with drywall patching and painting could be a messy experience, but Alex went out of his way to insure the disruption was minimal. He is so easy to work with and cares very much about quality. He's one of the best contractors we've worked with - a true delight. In many of his emails he adds the phrase "we can help" and that is absolutely true <br />

Everything was great. We needed to repair a section of drywall after having a pipe in the wall repaired. Lemus was able to schedule an appointment on short notice and add painting to the job at the last minute. The price was good and the wall looks great where the drywall was repaired. <br />

Alex did an excellent job with all repairs and painting. When he estimated the job he told me exactly what how much it would cost and the time it would take, however, the job took longer than he estimated but he didn't cut corners trying to finish earlier. He has integrity and I have full confidence in his work ethics and will use his company again. Several neighbors have stopped by to see his work and they were also impressed and plan to utilize painting business. <br />

I enjoyed working with Philipe Lemus. He takes great pride in his work and is very responsive. He was very thorough and patient in explaining how he proposed to accomplish the results we wanted and kept me informed. What started as replacing a ceiling damaged by a leaking toilet turned into a bathroom makeover. Very happy with the results and would not hesitate to work with Lemus Contracting again. <br />

The work was scheduled promptly and the provider, Alex, arrived on time and worked diligently to complete the job. The job took a total of two days. Alex was very professional, courteous, and very communicative with regards to all aspects of the job. He went the extra mile to address the small details and was very conscientious about his work and cleaning up at the end of each day. I definitely recommend Lemus Contracting to anyone needing their services.

We selected this company based on the previous reviews. For the most part, everything went smoothly. They worked with us on pricing, but ended up charging an extra $100 for additional color selections. Alex provided prompt communication through email. <br /> It took about three days of work for two gentlemen to complete the work. The first day was the repair the drywall seams and beam, which looked so much better. The second and third days were spent painting the ceiling, walls, and trim. We had a small hiccup with the wall paint not matching the selection, but they were quick to make it right. <br /> They did not show up at the time they were expected, but did stay later into the evening to get the work done promptly. The room looks so much better.

Felipe told me when they installed all the drywall in our basement that what he cared about most was that we were completely happy with his work, and that he would do whatever it took to insure this. They installed all the basement drywall in March of this year and a few months later some cracks formed along some of the seams. I called Alex Lemus and they were out in less than a week to repair the cracks and reprimer the finished work. They did a full repair, retaping, remudding, sanding, and primering the cracked seams. The provider was quick to get back with us. They helped fix some framing that we hadn't put in place. There was some miscommunication regarding helping us complete insulation prior to the dry wall hanging. Other than that, they did excellent work and were adamant about us being happy with their service. We would hire them again. <br />

Had major water damage where most ceiling and some wall had to be repaired. While the estimate/contract specified painting only the area that are being repaired, Felipe went ahead and painted the entire ceiling. He also painted some stained wall at no additional charge. The entire work was done on time as promised. Will definitely use his service again.

<p>The work performed in the house was excellent. Mr Lemus and his assistant went up and above to performed the work. He indicated to us that the work we actually wanted done could not be performed before the wallpaper paste was removed from the walls. Therefore, we authorized him to remove the wallpaper paste in lieu of the original request to repair the wallboard for a fresh coat of paint. He also indicated that to minimize any mildew/mold in the powder room to use a stainblocker prior to the wallboard repair and final coat of paint. He recommended the type to use. In addition, he repair a hole in the ceiling of the den that needed to be repaired. His work was excellent and done in a professional manner.</p> <p><br /></p> <p>What I was not satisfied with was the lack of responsiveness with the scheduling/estimating portion of the company. Because of scheduling on both ends, it took over a month after purchase to arrange for a representative to come to the house to evaluate the work we were requesting to be done. At that time, the representative indicated that the work would take additional time up and above the 3 hours requested and indicated the additional cost per hour. I also asked him to review other areas in the house that required wallboard repair. The areas were shown and he took a few pictures. I requested an estimate to perform all of the work including the additional work. In addition, when on site for the 3 hours work purchased, Mr. Lemus indicated that he would have his representative contact us with an estimate to finish the work required in the powder room upon completion of our painting the room with a stainblocker. As of this date, we have not been provided the additional information requested.</p> <p><br /></p> <p><br /></p> <br />

Alex and Felipe are a father-son team. The main work I needed done was to install drywall in the basement I am finishing. Their bid was competitive with the best of the three I got, all from highly-rated Angie's List contractors. They did excellent work on the drywall and primering, and Felipe made every effort to see that I was happy with their finished product. Lemus Contracting will do whatever it takes to see that you are happy with their work. Felipe runs the crew and is an expert craftsman himself. <br /> In addition to the drywall, Lemus put in two HVAC lines for my basement. They were much less expensive than the other bids I got and did quality work. <br /> I would strongly recommend Lemus Contracting to a friend. in fact, I already have to two other people. <br />

I thought this went fine. The price was great. They did good work and were on time. The quality of the work was fantastic. I got several estimates. He wasnt the most expensive, nor was he the cheapest. He was the only one to take pictures and really give me a good estimate.

They were going to arrive between 9-9:30. Felipe called and let me know there were running late. Once they arrived, they immediately started to work. They repaired a very difficult to reach area of my ceiling, where the builder had done a shoddy job of drywall. They worked carefully, covered all furniture, and made it "perfect." When they left, you couldn't tell they had been there...except for the fixed ceiling! I would highly recommend this company.

Let me start with that I have some experience with drywall repairs taught by my father, an expert. I was puzzled the technique used and it took much longer than if I had done it myself. The reason I had Lemur come in to do it was because I wanted to evaluate the quality of their work before I hired a company to do a small half-bath drywall project. The men were very nice, but there was disagreement between the two on what and how the repair should be done. The younger of the two had it right, so the job was eventually done and well enough. I was satisfied with the work. <br /> I asked them to survey my other project, put up one 8'x 5' wall, to take back to the owner for an estimate. I don't know how he arrived at his estimate, but it was multiple times over the average area going rate. In fact, the whole bathroom could have been done by a reputable company for the price that was quoted. <br /> Bottom line, it was good deal for the repair and for that I can recommend, but I would not recommend to do other follow-on projects; Lemus is too expensive. <br />
