I was actually really shocked that the lady was so unprofessional because that's a pretty big plumbing company in our area. But she started over-talking me. I mean, she was so rude when I was telling her that this is not the way to speak to a customer, she hung up the phone.

🚨 Avoid Len the Plumber – Negligent & Unsafe! 🚨 I hired Len the Plumber to install a brand-new water heater, but it failed after two weeks. They promised quick service but left us without hot water for days. Worse, the first technician concealed a serious fire hazard—the heater’s electrical components had actually caught FIRE and burned! A second technician finally admitted the fire risk, meaning my family could have been in grave danger. This is pure negligence and completely unacceptable. They replaced the heater but only after multiple delays, zero accountability, and putting our safety at risk. 🚫 DO NOT trust this company with your home’s safety! 🚫

While the technicians were polite, they did not solve the problem and ultimately broke the cartridge, costing us $1,200 in repairs. We were ultimately left without running water overnight - no toilet or faucet use at all. The manager, Vance, promised to refund us but has not done so. He was unprofessional, unfriendly, unhelpful, and unkind. (In fact, I've never been spoken to so flippantly and unkindly by a fellow adult - let alone a professional offering a service.) Unfortunately we will never trust Len the Plumber with our home again. I never write reviews but hoping to save others $$$$, time, and frustration - go elsewhere.

The job involved replacing a fill valve and flapper in a toilet and a "pressure balance cartridge" in a shower stall in the same bathroom. Before proceeding the technician said the job would be about $900. I was quite shocked at this high price, but I was losing water from both the toilet and shower so there was an urgency about getting it done. I told the technician that the price was "robbery." When I raised this objection to the price, and I pointed out the relatively low price of the parts that would be installed, I was told that the majority of the cost was for labor. I opened the door to the technician at 10:43 am and he had concluded the work at 11:11am. While it was explained to me that the company does not charge by the hour but rather by the job, it does seem to me that 30 minutes is quite a brief job. I photographed the containers of the parts that were installed, and found through a search online that even after doubling the combined retail price, the amount is still below $100. I know that this is a typical markup on parts so I have no issue with that. However, it does seem exorbitant to charge $750 for a half-hour of labor! I am a businessman so I know that there are many factors that go into pricing, such as travel time and expense, salary of the technician, and overhead costs at your office, among others. Yet it seems that even taking these things into consideration, $750 seems excessively high. I wasn't in a position to attempt to negotiate with your technician about this, and I suspect he did not have the authority to negotiate either. I would hope that you would see the wisdom and fairness in making a considerable downward adjustment to what I consider to be an unreasonable charge for this work.

Scheduled Len the Plumber to service my hot water heater because of a rotten egg smell in my hot water in early December. The technician came but couldn’t isolate the problem. After spending an hour on the phone with other techs, a filtration system was ordered. When 2 new techs came to install after Christmas, the system was too large for the area. They took samples of my hot and cold water to determine the proper filtration system needed. It’s been 2 months since the water samples were taken and still nothing! I’ve requested a refund 3 times over the last 6 weeks and have received $0 back. Found a local plumbing company who tested my water in my kitchen and diagnosed the problem on the spot. They resolved my problem in a couple days and my water has been normal ever since! Customer beware!!!

Very knowledgeable and professional

Overall, I had a very poor experience with Len the Plumber. While the service techs were very nice and professional, they ultimately were unable to fix the issue with my radiators despite two visits. It took another contractor to come and fix the issue weeks later. Additionally, they have a 'service plan' system that is basically a scam. You get a 10% discount on whatever service you're getting done when you sign up, but to cancel you have to pay for the entire 12 months of service. This was not disclosed except in the fine print. AVOID
