Initially hired to do repairs for house sale inspection; satisfactory except for add'l funds required to complete. Hired for 2 addl family houses--my new house & my daughter's. While installing French drains in my yard, big boulder on rock retaining wall was knocked off by equipment; lawns, most bushes, sprinkler system damaged beyond repair. Media installation wasn't completed, leaving piles of wires/controls, potential overheat situation & no promised instruction. No bids were provided on my son's house, but bills were submitted to me--until we realized the triangulating occurring, which broke the trust. Gilpin also requested a large personal loan, which I foolishly trusted that he would pay off and/or work off within a few months as promised--I haven't seen a dime of it. I feel sorry for his partner, Lewallen, who did good work, from what I could tell. Delays became greater as time went on.

My experience with L & G Construction LLC went very good. It seemed like a good price. They were very helpful and very concerned about us and conscientious to do a good job. I had nothing to complain about with them. I felt very good about them. We had one minor problem, but it wasn't that big.

Insured job sight was cleaned daily and hauled all trash.  I doubt we could have picked more caring people.  We are highly satisfied. <br />

They had no problems doing the work. which was done in a straightforward manner. It was high season for contractors, so they would work the mornings until about 2:00 PM on our house, and after that on other projects ( or recovering from the sun).  <br /> They started the reroofing  when it was threatening a thunderstorm, and it did rain a few drops. They should have been better prepared with more tarps (they had some). This was really my only area of concern. <br />

L & G Construction did an excellent job. They came in and did a very professional job. I'm very happy with the work they did. Their prices are reasonable.

It went well. Despite the fact that house was not straight and this complicated inserting the new window and door, they did a marvelous job of making it look great. The work was done swiftly. Pleasant fellows.

They did a good job. Their price was reasonable. They did an amazing job of cleaning up after themselves.  We were very impressed.  The yard looked better than when they started.  So many of the people who do this kind of work leave stuff but they cleaned up everything.   It was very nice. Price wise they were good because they were better than other people we compared them to.  If need to we would use them in the future.

Prior to the remodel the laundry room was a mess: there was no outside venting for the dryer and both the washer and dryer stuck out uncomfortably from the wall (which also serves as a hallway in our home). Steve & Leland, though, fixed us right up: now we have a nice-looking, up-to-date laundry room that we are oh-so-happy with :-).

Went well. They were fast and neat, and they followed up asking if we were satisfied.

Leland and Steve arrived promptly to give us an estimate of the work. After we engaged them, they returned on-time, with all appropriate paperwork, including a detailed contract and the legally required information regarding our rights with respect to contractors. They described what they were about to do and why, the possible things that could go wrong, and what they would do if they uncovered any additional work to be done. They discussed the timetable for the work, and made a number of adjustments to accommodate our schedules. They kept us regularly informed as the work was progressing, and when they encountered additional dry rot, they stopped to consult with us and prepared a revised estimate. I am a lawyer and my partner is a scientist. We are persistent and detail oriented, but with no more contracting knowledge than the average homeowner. Leland and Steve were relaxed with our questions, not defensive, and gave us all the information we wanted and needed. Everything they told us checked out with the people we asked for second opinions, and what we could discover on-line. Their work looks great. They completed the work in heat and with the "help" of inquisitive homeowners and bouncy dogs. They were good-humored and easy-going. They responded helpfully and cheerfully to the questions about other work we had, even though we made it clear that we wouldn't be undertaking all that work anytime soon. When they found that the shower pan was leaking, they gave us several estimates about how to remediate that dry rot and gave us estimates on each alternative. They also gave us a competitive bid and a better solution to our roofing and attic heat problems than others we consulted. When we decided to install attic vent fans we went to them. In fact, if we could keep them on retainer to put this 60 year old house back into perfect repair, we would.
