Charles arrived on time & performed a through diagnostic of my system. He also verified that my air handler & thermostat settings were correct for the components installed with my system. Charles was polite and offered advice on how to keep my system running efficiently. Overall a great experience. Would definitely recommend LightHouse Mechanical and especially Charles for anyone needing HVAC work done.

I called the office and the young lady answering the telephone was very professional and knowledgeable. I described my problem and, according to my convenience and preference, she gave me several choices as to when a technician could come by (the same morning) to diagnose my issue. She also gave me the price of a service call with diagnostics over the phone so there would be no surprises. Keith, the service technician arrived as promised. We spoke and he went right to work checking all facets of my system. Keith was knowledgeable, well spoken, polite and professional in every sense of the word. He kept me informed throughout the process of what he was doing and what he was finding. Through a process of elimination, he determined the issue and fixed it. Keith is the kind of employee any employer would be proud of. If my experience is typical of all of the customers of Lighthouse Mechanical, I would highly recommend them. I will call them again in the future.

I have had Lighthouse Mechanical do some work in the past and their fee seemed to be reasonable. They were helpful, polite and did good work. However, I am now questioning their fee and service. I called them on a Saturday because my system was not working. The tech was able to come out for a $99.00 diagnostic fee which I thought was reasonable for a weekend and with cold weather starting the next evening needed to get the system fixed. The tech was at my place for a minimum of 3 hours and could not locate the issue. The tech was very nice and tried hard. He even called another technician on the phone for assistance. He said he would need to come back the next day with another tech to figure out the issue. The next morning, Sunday, they both came and after more than an hour determined it was the defrost board on the heat pump. As parts places were closed they would need to come back on Monday to install a new board. They were able to do a bypass and get the heat pump to run in the meantime. The tech said the board would run $200 to $300 tops to install price. The office calls me Monday morning and it will be $408 plus the $99 diagnostic fee, Its extremely cold outside so can't really argue and price it out elsewhere. So that Monday after the call about the price another tech shows up with the board and completes the install successfully. Again nice tech even when he had to be outside working in the cold. I receive my invoice and later that day I take a moment to check the part number of the board against the internet to check pricing... $115 was the highest price I could fine. Called the person from the office to see why I was charged $408 plus the $99 diagnostic fee as this didn't add up. I understand mark-up but that's a big mark up on a $115 part and less than an hour’s labor to install it. The person that gave me the price was out and would call me back. No call back that day so I called again the next day and she answered. Her response to me is that they charge a flat fee not based on the part cost or actual installation fee but a national average. And also as they are a Trane dealer and I have a Carrier unit it is more expensive. Customers need to be aware of this. Won't be calling them again. Nice techs but 5 hours plus over two days to figure out the issue and their pricing scheme is not fair. I will check elsewhere next time.

From the first meeting with Matt when he gave us a timeline and our estimate, through the install and the walk through of finished work, it was all very well done. The installers were very polite and made sure that any flooring that they would be walking on or bringing out the old water heater on were completely covered to protect from any dirt or water. Any time we went to see if they needed anything they would tell us what they had gotten done and what they were working on. Not once were they short or put out as some people are when you are curious about what is going on in your house. I would use Lighthouse any time and have already told our friends how professional and caring they were about everything that went into our home and the proper working of it all before they left. They also did not take the last half of our payment until the final walk through which was 5 days after all work was completed. They also do military discounts and cash/check discounts which is a lovely perk.

Scheduled response to request was very fast...a day. Technicians diagnosed system, found likely culprit. Came back couple days later, did more thorough diagnosis, bled system and refilled refrigerant; work that takes better part of day. Professional, knowledgeable, explained all work and answered all questions . Even used shoe "booties; slip-ons" when inside the house.

Checked problem unit with non-running motor, evaluated and determined that motor is intermittently stopping between runs with possibility of failure and overheating refrigerant unit/portion. Recommended motor replacement; motor still under warranty. Thorough and friendly service. Would've followed through, but home warranty company made it difficult to go outside their established network. Will call on these guys when needed and home warranty company not involved.

Service and pricing was phenomenal. Had two other quotes from other companies and both companies told me I needed a whole new unit and was gonna cost me around $6000. Called for a second opinion and turns out didn't need a new unit after all simple fix that cost me around $150 and now I have heat again. Would recommend this company to anyone, very thorough on their diagnostic which saved me tremendously. Cant thank them enough.

My wife and I could not have been more please with Matt and the guys from Lighthouse Mechanical. We went a little overboard and got 4 quotes for all new HVAC system including ductwork. Lighthouse was not the cheapest, nor the most expensive, but they offered the best value.  We were able to get a top of the line Trane system, and Matt worked with us in our budget to give us a good deal. The other quotes were for lower-quality units (including the most expensive quote), and we had heard nothing but good things about Lighthouse leading up to our purchase. <br /> They were very flexible in working with our schedule for the install. Matt was very good in explaining how everything would work, and was very responsive whenever I had a question or concern. He was very professional from the first day he came out to give us a quote and all throughout the installation process. <br /> The crew of technicians (Kenson is the only name I remember) that came out were also very professional and respectful of our property. They cleaned up at the end of each day and made sure to clean up after any work was done inside the house. They were very flexible in working with our schedule as far as being home to let them in to do inside work.  <br /> They finished within the time frame that they said they would (5 working days). One of the most impressive things they did, which has impressed everyone we've told, is that they let us borrow 2 window AC units to use in the house while the HVAC was being installed. I don't think many people would do that. That's the type of thing that will keep customers coming back. <br /> Further, after a few days, we noticed the air flow seemed to be too much in our bedroom, and too little in the guest bedroom across the hall. We called Matt, and he was out there the next day to check it out.  Two days later (the next we were available to be home), Kenson and crew were back out and fixed the air flow problem. Everything has been running great ever since, and it's very obvious that this system is running much more efficiently than our old system. <br /> Once again, we couldn't be more pleased with the service we received from Lighthouse, and would highly recommend them to anyone else out there. <br /> <br /> <br />

Technician was in to announce his arrival, did his test work and advised us that he was finished. When asked about the condition of the unit, he advised that everything was fine. When he left, there was no mess or excess supplies lying about. Very professional. <br />

I received 4 quotes with Lighthouse being not the highest or lowest. Marcus, the sales rep was on time to the minute. We talked about my needs and concerns and he answered all my questions in a straight forward and honest manner with no pressure or over selling. He gave me my options and cost and said he would email my quote in the morning which was in my inbox by 9 am. <br /> I compared his to the others and accepted his. The quote was detailed and complete and left no doubt as to what was to be done and equipment and material to be provided. I called Marcus and we met at a mutually acceptable time to sign the proposal and at that time he gave me the start date of the next week. <br /> Start date arrives and Chris & Nick arrived at the stated time, introduced themselves  and got to work and work they did. My house is 56 years old and the crawl space while dry and critterless is not a pleasant place to work espacially with the heat. Chris & Nick got under there and got the job done.Both were extremely respectful of me and my property and during the 3 day job at the end of each day you couldn't tell they had been there. Anytime they entered my home they removed their shoes and protected the area they were working in. <br /> The end of the third day, they went over operation of the new equipment to my complete satisfaction to the point of programing the thermostat. <br /> Codes came the next day and even the codes inspector commented on the quality of the work. Only one discrepancy was found and that was he wanted another support strap added to one of the duct runs. Chris and Nick were there the first thing the next morning to correct it. <br /> I wouldn't hesitate to call them again if needed and give Lighthouse Mechanical and its employees my highest recomendation. <br /> <br />
