Very unreliable and unprofessional. Company seems to have changed hands or something. They either cut the lawn to short or didn't cut it at all. The last two times they came, they left large swatches of uncut (8"grass) throughout and did not even trim. They refused to return our calls and when they did call back were very unhelpful. We requested they return and redo and they did not respond or come. The guys seems disoriented and disinterested and didn't seem to know our property line even though we had been using them for years.

Very poor start up of lawn sprinkler system.  Past start ups have been good but in this case an inexperienced person came out.  I was not there but according to my wife the young man who came out was there only 15 min and attempted to get her help to physically turn the water on. - she had no idea of how the system worked.  Several of the sprinkler heads were embedded in the grass and not operating properly I found a few days later.  Several heads were out of adjustment and putting a lot of water in areas off my property as well.  Other than getting the system turned on the tech did very little.  Find yourself a better company to look after your sprinkler systems or do it yourself.

He ran about 20 minutes late with no phone call saying when they would be there.  Everything seemed to go ok but he split without saying anything . <br />

The service man arrived at time and started purging water from the pipeline. It took about 20 min. Nothing to complain. He just got the job done. <br />

We used Lightning Lawn and Landscaping for our lawn mowing needs last year because our subdivision uses them for its regular lawn care, so I thought it would be a good bet. They weren't terrible, but there are far better companies out there. I wouldn't recommend them for lawn mowing, but I can't speak to their other services. Here were the issues that I had with them: <br /> 1) They had no regard for our Invisible Fence flags we had up. They never mentioned them or asked us to remove them, but yet they felt no remorse in running them over and tearing them to shreds. It was awhile before we had found and picked up all of the pieces of shredded plastic and the metal rods which were strewn about (which I considered to be unsafe). <br /> 2) There were multiple times I had to call the owner to call his guys back out to our site because they would do the subdivision work, pack up, and leave, without doing our yard (which they do along with our subdivision's maintenance to save trips). The owner was responsive and apologetic, but I think they missed us even more times than I was paying attention to because I was super busy that time of year and I remember asking my husband about the lawn on a few other occasions, but I didn't have time to deal with it. I know for a fact it happened at least 2-3 times (for which they did come back out later that day or the following day after I called), but I suspect the real number is more like 5-6 times. That is really irksome when you consider it is $35 a visit. At least they did come back out to do the work, though, on the times that I caught it and called them about it. <br /> My neighbors used Lawn Guru and they only paid $30 a visit. That extra $5 per visit that I was paying with Lightning Lawn and Landscape adds up over the course of the season, and you would think they would be *less* expensive because they were doing our subdivision and were already in the area, so it costs them less travel time. I also feel that Lawn Guru did a better job on our neighbors' lawn, their lawn had nice lines and looked clean, while ours had a *lot* of grass clippings strewn about in mats across our yard many of the times after they left. It didn't happen every time, but it was noticeable when it did. <br /> 3) This might seem petty to others and is *not* the reason I dinged them on grading, but I was baffled at just how bad they botched up my last name. And even though I called them multiple times, let them know my last name multiple times, and paid them with payments that had our last name spelled correctly on them, they sent the bills to a last name that was almost nothing like my real last name. That just added to the perception of ineptitude and ignorance that I was already developing for the company over the course of the season. It was really unfortunate. <br /> Bottom line: The owner is nice but the prices aren't very competitive and the workers are careless. I would not recommend them for mowing services and I am unlikely to try them out for other services in the future.. <br />

<p>Had a few problems with getting coordinated due to scheduling and failure with the company's machine.</p> <p><br /></p> <p>*** Update - after talking with the owner, who handled this situation with pure professionalism, I was completely happy with the outcome. This is a good company with integrity and they understand what it means to be part of a community. Thank you for a satisfactory resolution!</p>

I called Lightning Landscape because they were hired by my neighborhood association to do work and I was impressed with their work. I checked Angies list and they had an A rating. I called, they came out on time, were professional, did the work very quickly, cleaned up and charged what I expected. <br />

!st mow/trim was an outstanding job -went downhill from there.   Patches of grass were scalped with speedy mower turns, areas were denuded of grass from aggressive trimming and the promises and original results were never experienced again.  Pricing from other companies runs $20-25, so Lightning is very overpriced.  I went with them because the presentation was very professional and the company seemed to be very responsive and responsible.  They continued to be responsive, the job done was just poor. <br />

Showed on time and did job quickly and professionally.  Pleased with service. <br />

I was very happy with the results.  They did a great job and made sure to get the mulch under all of the shrubs/flowers.  They even picked some weeds that were present before installing the mulch.  I would use them again in the future. <br />

What I liked that they did the hard work for us and they did a great job.  They were prompt and they did everything they were supposed to do.

Lightning Lawn & Landscape has been our weekly lawn service for several years.  They are quick, clean and take great care of our property.   In addition to weekly lawn cutting/trimming, we've had them do our edging as well as mulch and spring cleanups.   They are always great.

Justin came out and got our sprinklers all set and ready for the warm months.  He is always very professional and timely.  We also use Lightning for our sprinkler winterization and have found they are the best in town!  Price and service can't be beat!
