I used light of day because he offered the best deal. His team walked off the job the first day and left all there equipment and materials all over my front yard and driveway. They broke holes threw the decking of the roof while ripping off the shingles and got everything in my roof covered in debris. It took me weeks to Clean it up(nails,broken bits of wood, pieces of old shingle, dust, dirt, etc..) The flashing they installed around my chimney apparently wasn't done right and it has been leaking since they did the roof in 2020 and now there is exterior wall damage I tried getting in contact with them when I noticed that their were shingle on the corners of my roof that were never cut and that the attic still has moisture near the chimney. I called and left voice-mail, emails, text. And no contact back. We are now having our bedroom remodeled and had the wall opened up and there is still an active leak. The wood is rotten and light of day will not contact me back!!! Beware!!!!

"Hello, that sure is a misleading review. First off, my team has never walked off of a job. They left in a hurry after a full first day b/c it was raining. When you complained about the dumpster in the driveway and some bundles of shingles in the front yard, I came out immediately myself to move them. There were multiple layers of shingles over slat board decking. The holes referenced were knot holes in the slat boards. They would have fallen out regardless of what company did the tear-off— a little vibration is all it takes. We followed standard practices as any other skilled company would do. You were happy when we finished. You and I did a final inspection together, including in the attic where all the alleged cleaning took place. If you’re chimney is leaking, I’m guessing it’s the brick mortar above our work, but I would be glad to inspect it and reseal the counter-flashing if necessary. What phone number and email address are you using? I ask because I have no missed calls, voicemails, text messages or emails from you. My number hasn’t changed. Light of Day Construction did excellent work, top materials and most importantly the installation was done right. I stood out there and watched, they took the time necessary to get all the flashing around the chimney and walls installed correctly. They just finished a couple of days ago, but I am confident this roof is going to last without any issues. Great Job guys. Steve in Howell.

Wonderful! John and his crew were there promptly and worked hard and efficiently for almost 12-hours. Their goal was to start and finish our roof in one day (which is unheard of) and they did! His crew was kind, hard-working, and prompt. John, the owner was there with his crew, working the entire time. I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone looking for a business to put on a new roof. The cherry on top of it all and that they were very fairly priced. They were out of town for us, but they were comparable to all of our in-town contractors. So happy with the result!

We could not have had a better experience with this company. From our first contact for an estimate until the last truck pulled away from the curb, every employee was pleasant, hard-working and genuinely concerned about making us happy with the job. The roofers were so careful to protect our windows and landscaping during the tear off and were meticulous about clean up of the debris. They were very polite, a great team that worked fast and efficiently together. I would be very happy to hire this group again. The roof looks wonderful and the price was great.

Light Of Day was by far the most affordable out of 11 different quotes, especially since I needed my garage decking redone. Almost every other quote was at least 1.5x the price, and some were nearly TRIPLE! Not only was the price fair, but they finished both buildings in 3 days and cleaned the yard so thoroughly I struggled to find even a couple tar paper flecks. 10 years later the roof still looks nearly brand new, and I still have 10 years left on their workmanship warranty. 10/10 would recommend these guys to ANYONE who is in their area. Especially to anyone worried about getting **** poor craftsmanship or scammed/ripped off. *photo is of roof after 10 years.

When you have a roof as obviously degrading as mine, you get SO MANY @#$%ing roofing offers. These guys were not only one of the most affordable (the only cheaper options were SUPER sketchy) but they told me up front everything that NEEDED to be replaced, everything that COULD be replaced, and everything that I DIDN'T need replaced that someone else might try to get me to pay for a replacement anyways. Super honest and nice guys and amazing work. They finished they entire roof in 1 day, which blew my mind, and the roof is by far the best looking roof on the block still 8 years later. Would highly recommend this company to anyone who wants an affordable, quality roof without worrying about getting ripped off.
