My father and I recently hired LM & Sons for a move from NY to Florida. We had lost our apartment to a botched home sale and were really in a pinch for time to get out within just a matter of days… The movers were lightning fast and their entire team was extremely professional. Even with such short notice (1 week), they were able to come load us up in only 2 hours and the delivery (which also took only 2 hours) was an impeccable 4 days later! David, Oscar, Oscar & Justin were truly moving professionals. David was our driver and he knew our furniture was very high quality just by looking at it. After the inventory, Oscar came in and we were impressed by how methodical he was in wrapping up our furniture making sure it’s protected from every angle! He even took the extra time to wrap additional padding around the bottom of our furnitures feet, which I have never seen done before. Once everything was fully protected, they ran it all down our difficult stairwell and porch with multiple tight turns as if it was a straight shot! These guys were straight hustlers sweating bullets, carrying 2-3 boxes at a time. Originally, they told me it could be up to 2 weeks for delivery but to my surprise it ended up being only a mere 4 days later! Still can’t believe how fast we got our stuff! David drove everything down and Carl helped with the unload. I was busy traveling with my father and was unable to receive the delivery myself, but we coordinated everything and they did a really great job! Everything arrived in tact and without any damage! As they were leaving, literally pulled out of our development… I noticed from a photo that my fathers dresser was put in the wrong room due to a miscommunication. I contacted David immediately and although they had left, he was super happy to help! He turned the truck around and came back just to reposition the dresser in the right place for us! Now that’s A+++ Service!!! Anthony & his father Frank really went out of their way to help us and make sure everything went smoothly. This was everything you want a moving job to be! Hoping we don’t have to move again for quite some time, but confident I’ll know exactly who to call! Great Job guys! Thank you again!

The amazing group of guys who came to move us were punctual, professional and very hard working. They were careful and efficient and I enjoyed meeting all of them. We had some trouble with the box springs up a narrow flight of stairs, and they tried extremely hard. They gave it everything they got, and then some. We were very impressed and the entire move went smoothly. I was very happy and would recommend Lite Moving & Sons over anybody else in Long Island.

The level of service, punctuality and professionalism was beyond what I was expecting and far exceeded my expectations. The team ( Pete, mike , mike and Billy) that we're scheduled for 0800 actually showed up 17 minutes early and by 8am they had already began working diligently and efficiently. The team worked as a unit and truly packed everything in their truck with great care and concern, everything had been pre boxed by myself and color coordinated which helped but they had a fantastic system, everything was meticulously wrapped in moving blankets and not one wall was even scuffed or marked when moving into the new house. These guys are the real deal. Can not say enough about the quality of this company and would not hesitate to use again. Chris C.

This company was a pleasure to deal with from beginning to end. Having had a bad experience with another moving company, I was very anxious about this move. I'm happy to say that I shouldn't have worried. The movers were punctual, polite, hardworking and did anything I asked of them. They even finished in less time than they figured on. I would wholeheartedly recommend them!

It went great from the very beginning when Frank came in to give us an estimate. After that we dealt with Anthony (Frank's son) and the workers. Everybody was a pleasure to deal with! The estimate was accurate as far as dollars and dates. Couldn't be happier with the whole experience.

AVOID THIS MOVER. <br /> MOVERS SIGNIFICANTLY DAMAGED A LARGE PORTION OF FURNITURE, <br /> ETC, MAKING IT UNUSABLE, & REFUSE TO REPAIR/REPLACE/REFUND.  I'VE BEEN UNABLE TO SLEEP ON MY BED FOR WEEKS.  SCAMMED ON PRICE.  WAS GIVEN AN ESTIMATE & ACTUAL COST WAS ABOUT $3000 MORE THAN EST.  HAVE MOVED 3 PREVIOUS TIMES IN THE PAST 5 YRS & HAVE ACTUAL WEIGHT MEASURES FOR ALL OTHER MOVES.  SAID THEY WOULD HAVE WEIGHT TAKEN & PHONE WITHIN 1 HR OF PACKING.  MORE THAN 5 HRS LATER I GET A CALL SAYING THE WEIGHT WAS MORE THAN IT WAS IN PREVIOUS MOVES, & I HAD ELIMINATED THREE ROOMS FULL OF FURNITURE PRIOR TO THIS MOVE.  WEIGHT IS A LIE, CLAIMS IT WAS DONE AT A SALVAGE YARD, NO ACTUAL WEIGHT FROM A WEIGH STATION.  I ASKED REPEATEDLY TO HAVE ACTUAL WEIGHT TAKEN AND THEY SAID IT WASN'T POSSIBLE AND THAT I SHOULD HAVE CHOSEN TO PAY BY HOUR. PROVIDED BILL OF LADING ONLY AFTER PACKING UP TRUCK AND MOVING. <br /> WAS LIED TO ABOUT THE INSURANCE, AFTER BUYING AT THEIRURGING, ANTHONY NOW SAYS IT IS USELESS.  APPEARS TO BE A SCAM ORGANIZATION. THE FATHER , FRANK, GIVES ESTIMATE AS A NICE OLDER RELIGIOUS MAN BUT HE'S NOT INVOLVED IN MOVE, APPEARS A FAKE FRONT.  IT'S HIS SON ANTHONY WHO IS ABSOLUTELY UNETHICAL, YELLS AND SCREAMS ON THE PHONE, MAKES PROMISES AND THEN REFUSES TO FOLLOW THROUGH, AVOIDS COMMUNICATION, DOESN'T REPLY TO CALLS OR EMAILS.  CLAIMS NOW THAT HIS INSURANCE COMPANY WILL HANDLE DAMAGE BUT DESPITE MY DAILY INQUIRIES NO ONE HAS CONTACTED ME & ANTHONY REFUSES TO GIVE ME THEIR NAME OR CONTACT INFORMATION.  <br /> I SENT PHOTOS OF ALL DAMAGE, PHOTOS OF LABELS ON BOXES, ANTHONY CLAIMS I CAUSED ALL DAMAGE WHICH IS ABSURD & IMPOSSIBLE.  HE HAS CLAIMED VARIOUS THINGS THAT ARE CONTRADICTED BY FACT/EVIDENCE,  ISPARAGED MY CHARACTER, MADE UP STORIES ABOUT HIS CO. The team was amazing, right from the start. All calls were answered quickly, all meetings confirmed and the quote was thorough. Frank even gave me tips on how to save money on boxes. The morning of the move, the team was right on time and they moved like clock-work. Any time I tried to help, they insisted I leave it to them. They were polite and friendly and total professionals. <br />

These guys were fantastic!! <br /> It started when Frank Sr. came to our house to give an estimate. My wife, who was home at the time, was very impressed with his knowledge and professionalism. She also liked that fact that he gave her concrete suggestions to reduce the cost of the move. In the weeks prior to the move Frank returned all of our calls promptly and answered all of our questions. <br /> The move itself went extremely well. The crew arrived 15 minutes early. After signing some paperwork, they began work. The 3 men worked as a team and were extremely organized, professional and efficient. Any issue, no matter how small (a loose leg on a piece of furniture) was brought to our attention and addressed. In less than 2 hours the truck was loaded and ready to leave. <br /> Unloading the truck was also done in an extremely organized and efficient manner. When my wife was unsure where a piece of furniture should go, Frank Jr. was quick to offer professional opinions. <br /> The entire move from start to finish was done in under 4 hours. <br /> My wife and I are planning an out-of-state move when I retire and we would definitely use Lite Moving & Sons, Inc. <br />

The first interaction was an appointment for a quote. The owner was prompt, friendly and professional. The next meeting is the day of the move. Three very nice workers showed up on time, ready to work. The move was perfect and on budget. I would highly recommend Lite Moving & Sons and would defiantly use them again.

It was perfect. Could not ask for a better team of men. They are prompt, respectful and totally trustworthy, something almost impossible to find anymore. If you need to move they are the movers for you. <br />

The service was excellent. They did an very good job taking care of my stuff. They wrapped everything very nicely and were very professional with the move.

I joined Angie's List specifically to find a moving company.  Based on location and reviews, I called Lite Moving.  They were absolutely terrific. <br /> <br /> Frank came to my NYC studio apartment (4th floor walkup, home/office) to do the estimate.  Very nice man - on time, polite, professional and very well organized.  He gave me a  folder of info and moving tips, and explained each item to me.  He gave me tips on labeling and how to arrange my boxes and furniture in the apartment to help the movers get in and out easily, to save time and thereby save me money.  He provided contact info for and encouraged me to call the Dept. of Transportation to check the company's record, which I did - perfect record.  I hired them and I did follow the packing tips Frank gave me. <br /> <br /> On moving day, the movers were parked on my block a half hour early and called me to see if I was ready for them to start. Anthony (Frank's son) and Wayne were GREAT.  There were very pleasant, polite, helpful, and careful. And fast.  Because I was up the whole night packing, I was wiped out and expecting a stressful day, and instead, they made it easy for me and once I saw how they worked I just relaxed and let them do their job.  Definitely wasn't expecting that.  They took down my shelves and mirror that I wasn't able to remove myself. <br /> <br /> The house I moved to in Nassau was already fully furnished, so some of my things went to a nearby storage unit and most items went into the basement.  Anthony and Wayne did such a careful job of organizing everything compactly and neatly, leaving pathways for me to get to everything. <br /> <br /> The final bill was right on the estimate amount.   <br /> <br /> Frank had advised me that the city often issued parking tickets to moving trucks and we did get one ($115).  But I was expecting it and honestly I was so grateful for how smoothly the move went I really did not care. <br /> <br /> I can't think of one thing I wished they did better.  They are a family business and great people.  My movers for life.  Highly recommended!  Thanks guys for taking care of me so well!

They were great. I had a great experience with them. My mother also said they were great. Everything was delivered perfectly. It was wrapped and there was no damage at all. They came on time. The price was fair.

Frank, his son, and crew were great! They were professional with a personal touch. They had the patience of saints dealing with moving an elderly couple and all the stress on the couple. They clearly had a lot of experience and helped them decide what to box and got it all to our VB location safely. Along the way there were many enjoyable conversations. Smooth sailing with this moving company. After so many bad experiences with movers, I would hire this company again without question. All the relatives involved with them in this move had great experiences. <br />

I had the opportunity to call these gentlemen through a mutual friend, while I was otherwise interviewing movers. Their pricing came in between the other two estimates I had received but I was immediately impressed by Frank's background and what set him and his sons apart from the large haulers I had already interview. I hired him for a pickup on July 8 and expected it would remain in storage for at least a couple of weeks while he would be otherwise filling the truck, given that my move was not large by comparison. I received a call two days before advising me that they would be able to deliver on July 11, just 3 days later. I was out of town all week in both places so a friend met them in NY to load and a family member met them in Fla to unload. From what I heard from both, Lite Movers were the consummate professionals on both ends. They were timely, friendly, organized, and treated every piece as if it was their own. I was able to work out payment over the phone and they came in virtually on the penny of the original quote. And to top it off, after all this was accomplished, Anthony realized he forgot to deduct a $300.00 deposit thereby overcharging me, so he called to advise me of why I would be getting a check back in the mail from him !! While I thought it a great gesture, he couldn't apologize enough for the inadvertent error. Now that is unheard of. <br /> I always believed the absolute worst part of any move is entrusting your intimate valuables to a stranger and hoping for the best. But no more. Should I need to move again, I will do so with complete confidence so long as Frank and Anthony are available for the job. <br />

It was a good experience, very professional. They came out and estimated how much it is going to cost to move. They moved us. They handled some heavy stuff and also some glass materials that were to be handled very carefully and they came out with packets and materials that were used for some heavy duty.
