Very well and quick. Left the yard in shape as if they hadn't been there. Stump ground down level with ground. Glad they came and took care of a nagging problem that could have gotten worse, as the tree was rotten to the center of the trunk. Price was good work done better.

The guys arrived on time and removed the tree in a timely manner. Also included was the having the stump grind and all debris removed from the property. I had two others stumps grind at a very affordable price. I would definitely use their service again.

The patio looks great & they were super friendly. Unfortunately, I was told they would be back within the week to build up (around the new patio where they dug out) & re-sod. It's been 2 weeks...I've contacted them three different times and Tonya will now not return my emails or texts. Prior to payment, she replied within minutes. I love my patio, but I wish she would reply & let me know when they may come back OR just let me know they aren't planning to come back & I need to find someone else. My "grade" would be much higher if communication after installation was as great as it was before installation. I hate this, because they were super nice folks!

We had to get a large retaining wall beside our driveway replaced. There was a very large holly bush that was causing the wall to bulge over the years. The estimates for the wall were all over the place (as high as almost 10k). We received many quotes and we went with Live Oak because their pricing was competitive but especially because they REALLY know their stuff about drainage. They removed the holly, completely replaced the retaining wall, graded the yard after removing old drains and adding a new one, and planted new shrubs. It was a large job and a bit nerve wracking but Tonya was awesome. She was available at any time and would respond to my texts if I had questions (even after hours and on the weekend). We had setbacks with bad weather but since her communication was so great, I wasn't concerned that we were behind schedule. I knew she was on top of it. The end result was a great looking wall.

Like aforementioned, Tonya's crew did work in a timely manner. She was very nice to me on the phone--a bit more friendly than what I'd consider professional, but still courteous and polite. We had to play phone tag sometimes but overall communication was good. This was my first time getting trees cut and the stump grinding done. This is a suggestion, but it would have been nice to have been told what I may have to do with where the stumps used to be (regarding digging up the mulch and replacing with top soil if wanting to grass it over, etc). I felt the price was higher than I had expected, but all the other tree cutting companies I had contacted never replied back. Regardless, this wasn't a job I wanted to try to do even if had the time. Also there was a timing issue for payment so she waived the credit card transaction fee so I could pay over the phone which was super nice. Thanks again!

On June 21st the first work was done, scraping the entire front yard, laying down one dump truck load of topsoil, and installing an irrigation system. Payment was made on this date for work done. However, the installer ran the line way up behind the furnace, which we had specified not be done.

On July 14, we received 5 pallets of sod, which was installed that day, and paid for. We needed two more pallets to complete that job, and that was promised, but never came. The timer was installed in the garage, and at this time was set up, but the plastic tab to the back up battery was never pulled, which was discovered 3 weeks later. Meantime, the electrical connection had been bumped out, disconnecting the settings. The directions were to water the new sod 2 times per day for 30 minutes each time. We tried to reset this complicated timer, but could not get it right. Repeated calls to Tonya, the owner, were ignored until she finally replied that once it was set by them, it becomes the owners responsibility to manage.

On August 8th, she finally sent the installer to reset the timer 3 weeks later, after the water had been going 4 times each day, including watering the area where we were missing another 2 pallets of sod. This was when the installer discovered that he had not activated the back up battery.

After repeated requests to finish the job, with no response on August 8th, I told the owner, Tonya Nesbitt, not to bother coming back. At this point we were due to leave town and be away for a month. I had to hire another lawn man to complete putting down the remaining sod, and finish sodding over a space in the back yard where the tree had been removed.

We are very happy with Live Oak. We have not had any drainage issues since they worked on it. The landscaping looks perfect and the patio and retaining wall are great. Everyone was professional and courteous to us. We would definitely hire them again for any other landscaping or tree work we need.

"I seriously enjoy the fact that he only provided an "F" but never wrote anything for me to respond about. I have all the emails and text messages regarding our conversations if anyone wishes to read them and see the true story. I will bend over backwards for my customers, but I will NOT, and never will, do work free of charge or repair damages done by other companies and customers failing to upkeep the work we have completed."

It turned out very well and they did a nice job. We were pleased with the work that they did. We had them do extra work. We were very happy with it. They came out in January. The big deal only covered a certain square footage and we had a different shape that's why they charged a little more. They did give us some of the pavers without charge. I thought the price was very fair on the extra work that we had done. They designed it after talking to us about what we wanted. I don't think there were any issues. We no longer live in that house. They did a high quality job.

For the most part I was happy with the work performed initially. However, when I contacted them later about doing some additional work they did not respond in a timely manner and when they did come out to see what I wanted done they did not provide me with a written estimate. When I attempted to contact them about doing the work my communications went unanswered and when they did get back to me the timing was not good because I was about to go in for an operation. When I asked about taking care of the side walk first and doing the yard later, they said they would get back to me on the cost but never did. I feel the lack of communication and professionalism on their part warrants me going with someone more reliable.

Excellent service, although one tree was trimmed back far more than desired. Terrific cleanup and haul away provided
Provider was to return or reschedule removal of two very tall pine tree. Despite numerous efforts on my part to get this done, it has never been completed. Also tried to get an estimate for some re-landscaping work for front yard, never provided.
 Provider rarely returns phone calls.
Response from Live Oak Landscaping
"I called to schedule the rest of the work on 3 separate occasions and the homeowner always said those days were not good for him. We do not work Saturdays unless it is an emergency service and he was unwilling to pay overtime for my family to come out and do the work on a Sat instead of a weekday. I am sorry that he feels we did not finish the work, but if he wasn't available to schedule the work, then there wasn't much I could do."
