The $50 is not really worth it. There was not much design other than simply measuring. I think most of the firm will do this free. Also I had to call the place to set up appointment and nobody called me after I made the purchase. Then I hade to follow up on everything from the drawing then the quote after sereral weeks from the initial consultation.

Alan Miller's vision far exceeded my own. He oversaw all facets of the renovation; design, materials, and installation. The room is small but space was added almost everywhere! The drawers are very long, wide and very sturdy. A useless soffit was removed and the ceilings appear higher and there is another shelf available! An old pantry closet became a beautiful and functional workspace. Alan really knew what I wanted and delivered! My kitchen did more than a 360 and I am more than 100 percent satisfied. That is why I called him to do the bathroom. <br />

<p>We were looking for a supplier that could do a modern kitchen with high-gloss white as well as golden maple cabinets. For the high-gloss white we searched high and low finding either cheap thermofoil options or super expensive lacquer. Finally we found Lamico and Jen (the greatest) showed us the perfect in-between product.</p> <p>We had a very specific look that we wanted and we had more than a few odd-ball requirements. Jen handled all our needs like a pro. She was so patient and so thorough - and let me tell you she knows her stuff. Her knowledge and eye for detail caught lots or possible snafus while we were still at the drawing board. She offered great suggestions that really made the final product look and work better (things I would not have thought about she brought to my attention).</p> <p>Jen was also very good with communication. We reworked the drawing a lot and she always sent new PDF with every little detail spelled out in black and white.</p> <p>When the cabinets were finally delivered Jen came out to personally make sure everything was a-ok and stayed in touch through the entire installation.</p> <p>The project was not without a few hick-up. A few of the pieces got beat up in shipping and had to be remade and as luck would have it our project landed right in the middle of the manufacturer?s holiday shut down so the lead time was quite a bit longer than we had planned. But whatever issues like this that we had were all somewhat out of Lamico?s control. And Jen did her best to make right what she could.</p> <p>All in all, I?d use Lamico again as long as Jen is working there.</p> <p>And one last note: I?m a designer and wordworker myself and a very persnickety so-and-so. That Jen and the folks at Lamico were able to impress me is saying something.</p>
