Lleonart Pest Control

If I could give John TEN stars, and an A+++, I would. He dealt with a horrific bug infestation in our house, and our freak-outs over it, with kindness, professionalism, clarity, and focused attention. He called back within a day of every panicked call he got from us, explained in detail what we could expect, and then did a great job taking care of our issue. It took time, (almost three months) but we were prepared for that, because he prepared us! I have hired him to come back once a month just to keep an eye on things, and would recommend him to anyone in a heart beat. He's smart and knowledgeable, and has a sense of humor, thank goodness. <br />

Overall the service was good and the price was reasonable.

I discovered a wasp nest adjacent to my front door.  Have had physical health issues making it impossible to juggle do-it-yourself approach, including effective use of both my hands, to deal with this myself.  I also needed the problem dealt with ASAP before children coming to trick-or-treat on Halloween, and did not have time to compare prices for service.  The team came soon after contacted, at appointed time.  The service included inspection and other preventative measures, and another not previously noted wasp nest was discovered when rounds were made around the premises.  I was pleased with the work done, and very pleased with the conscientious people who performed it. <br />

He was very responsive on the phone and in person -- even revewing the property and letting me know how they are getting in the house and what I could do to minimize their entry points.  Nice guy who seemed effective at his job.  Thanks! <br />

In the summer we had a problem with bees in one of our large olive tree trunks.  He came out and took care of the problem. <br /> I was very impressed with his service all the way around.  He was professional, on time, performed what he said he would do and we discussed other services he offered.  I called him back to sign up for a quarterly maintenance service which included the bees. <br /> His prices are very good.  I will definitely call him again to check the property for termites. <br />

John was punctual, professional, and very knowledgeable. He thoroughly steamed the carpeting,furniture,etc. He applied chemical spray to the baseboards and in cracks and crevices. He and his helper also sprayed outside the house,in the garage,and dusted the attic. The mite activity was reduced after treatment, but not totally gone, so John returned and applied another steam treatment. He set up monitors to see exactly what kind of mite it is, because he wanted to see if another chemical would be necessary, since it could actually be a different type of mite. That's the status as of now, 9/7/2012. I'll update this when everything's finally resolved. <br />

<br /> I disturbed a major ant colony in my patio while planting flowers.  In spite of my attempts to be careful and not transfer ants inside through clothing or materials, the ants got into the adjacent kitchen.   I called my home pest control service and left a message.  When I was told that I might have to wait a while (possibly days) for the technician,  I searched Angie's List for other exterminators.   Unfortunately, it was the weekend which contributed to the difficulty in finding someone.  I called Lleonart Pest Control but  John, the owner, apologetically said he couldn't come that day because his truck was being serviced.  So I called another company which also couldn't come that day but gave me a home remedy to try.   So, I tried that, but the ants continued to increase and even got into the upstairs bathroom.  On Monday I called John again.  He tried to calm my panic over the phone and he came that day.  He told me that there were two different kinds of ants involved, and that the extermination process would require me and my husband to leave home for four hours.   He explained in detail what the process would entail.  His fee, including the seniors' discount, was $95.  He was so knowledgeable and personable and assuring.  ( He could see that I was freaked out.)  Before my husband and I returned home, I was trying to prepare myself for the sight of dead ants everywhere, but, instead, I saw none. John called me the next day to see how everything was, and I told him everything was great.  He said that I might see a few more ants before the problem was resolved.    However, I've seen none.   He checked with me again about two weeks after the problem to make sure everything was still OK.  I would highly recommend him to anyone.  In fact, we are going to drop our previous pest control service and hire Lleonart.

John showed up on time and was very friendly.  He explained the problem and how he was going to treat it.  I would recommend him to friends.  He does a good job in cleaning up.  If I asked questions, he answered them to my satisfaction.

John was very professional, courteous and thorough. I had a little rodent problem, so I called a bigger company to come out and give me an estimate. They were looking for a short term fix, not a long term plan to get rid of the problem. John looked all around my house, in the attic and on the roof. He looked for openings and made suggestions as to how to seal them up. His strategy was to develop a plan to get the rodents out first, then come back in a few weeks to seal everything up to keep them out. He was also very cautious about how he did everything because I have a curious 5 year old. Because he is the owner of his business, he is able to give personalized attention and take his time with his clients. His prices were very fair and he was very flexible when my husband said he would take care of some of the exclusion recommendations. He even took down some wasps nests for me before he left.

I've had alot of trades people and have had a lot of bad experiences. When he showed I figured he'd be another lying tradesperson. He gave me a fair estimate and was very miticulous. Anytime I needed to call him within a month period, he'd come out (even on a saturday) and he was the only one that found the rat. Many people in this area have rat problems and he knew what he was doing. He has a high level of professionalism. I have no complaints. I would use him again. I only wish that I've found him before. I give him an A++.

John came out on a Saturday afternoon to take care of a swarm of bees that were trying to create a hive in and around my barbecue grill.  John explained the different ways he can handle the situation.  John was very helpful in giving advice on how to prevent future attempts by bees to form a colony.  He didn't just treat the problem but advised me how to take preventative measures in order to save more money in the future.

I thought I had a minor rat/mice problem, and learned that it was a much bigger problem - there were a family of rats living in the attic space above my living room!!!  I of course wanted them gone completely and immediately.  I almost went with the first company that came out.  I did not have a clue as to how much this type of work should cost or what it should entail, but felt that the first guy was a bit pricey and something didn't sit right, so I decided to do my homework.  Lleonart Pest Control (John) was one of three companies who came out to assess my problem. John won my business hands down... he is EXTREMELY thorough.  The scope of work that he suggested was very detailed.  And his pricing is very fair.  This is important, specifically because when dealing with rats in your house, there are other remedies that need to be taken - i.e., tree trimming, repairs of heating ducts, insulating/weather-proofing your garage, etc. - which usually need to be done by other vendors and will add on to the cost of ridding the problem.  John (and his cousin) spent a lot of time inspecting the problem, then coming back to set traps, do the exclusion work (patch holes or cracks which provide entryway for the rats in to your home), and setting bait traps.  They then came back and spent hours sanitizing the attic - removing any and everything related to the nasty critters.  He still comes by to ensure that they have not returned.  And I have also hired him to come every 2 months to perform the full pest control service - which also includes insects.  John is the nicest, most honest guy, and I HIGHLY recommend him!!!

I was at my wits end!  It started with a bird nest outside my window.  When the hatchlings learned to fly and abandoned the nest, my condo was infested with bird mites.  John Lleonart was the third pest control company to come out and try to end my 6 month nightmare.  John arrived promptly, listened to my concerns, took stock of the situation and went above and beyond anything that had been done before.  John Lleonart was the only pest control expert to check the inside of my attic and check the grounds around the building for entry points.  John noticed that there were rat droppings in my attic and entry points at ground level around the building.  Since it was a possibility that I now had rat mites,  John treated the attic and the inside of my condo.  John followed up two weeks later and has called to make sure that everything is still pest free.  I have set up a regular schedule for John to make on site visits.  I can't thank John enough. John answers his phone, is responsive, on time, polite and extremely professional. <br /> <br />

<br />        John came on the day scheduled and worked most of the day.  He treated the garage, inside and out) and all areas out side where <br />        there was evidence of the wood termites.  He came back the next day to treat the whole area of the outside of the house <br />        and under the house.  He treated the attic also that day.  The second day, he worked late into the evening making sure he <br />        took care of everything he promised to do.  John was very conscientious about his work.  We have had, in the past, other <br />        companies treat our home for termites but  we have never had someone do such a good job as John.  We would highly <br />        recommend John and his company and of course we would call him for services again in the future. 

My husband and I were being bitten on their legs for some time, so I called John at Lleonhart Pest Control, fearing I had bedbugs, having traveled to New York City a few months prior to some type of infestation.  John responded immediately and came out a few days later.  He diagnosed a flea infestation, probably due to the presence of small animals going in & out of the crawlspace.  He treated the inside and perimeter of the home and also removed several hornet nests.  Two weeks later, John re-treated the inside of the home, as well as the perimeter, and closed off access to the crawlspace with a screen and by repairing the small holes in all the crawlspace grills.  Two weeks after that re-treatment, he again re-treated the perimeter of the house and the crawlspace for any remaining fleas. <br /> <br /> John is a solo practitioner and works hard at his business.  He is professional, hard-working, and very responsive to the needs of his customers.

We want to do everything in the most green and eco-friendly manner and John is very knowledgeable about different types of methods.  As a result he is able to make recommendations about what works best and find a method of pest control for us that meet our needs and gets the job done.  <br /> <br /> He is very mindful and specific and you always know what to expect from him as a professional, as well as feeling educated in the choices that we are making.

When I called Lleonart, I was so stressed out from dealing with other companies that were too busy to service an existing customer. I called Lleonart, and they came out the day I called them. They removed all of the nests and resolved all of the on-going wasp issues. They were very corteous, conscienscious. They brought in my dog's water bowl just to make sure that it was clean for my dog. They really impressed me.

John from Lleonart pest contral came over, explained why we were getting fleas. He set two cages to trap possums and came back two days latter. Then he performed the flea contral in the interior and exterior of my home. He also found rodent dropings in garage and attic and got rid of that problem. Now I am on a quaterly service. John explaned the reason for each procedure and kept us inform every step of the way.
