iCame out and provided quote. Very reasonable for the project. Offered and provided same day service. Did an excellent job or removing the dangerous parts of the tree. Hauled away all of the debris and cleaned up the worksite very well. Efficient, courteous service. Definitely recommend this company. <br />

Was somewhat happy with the tree service, they have great tree climbers and they cleaned up well , was not happy that they left a tree they said they would cut into 14-16 in. pieces ,I don't think any of them are that short ,some are 30in. will be very hard for us to cut and split for a wood burner ! <br />

They cut down 6 trees and trimmed several other trees, did a decent job of cleaning up, not the best trim job, but I was ok with that part. Rich said they would be back to grind the stumps, has never came back, took the money, cashed the check that day and now won't answer his phone, his partner doesn't answer his either. If you hire these people make sure before you pay them, the job is complete. they must run their business like this. hire someone else !!!!!!!!!!

Bernard ( the Tree King ) and his associates were FANASTIC !!! <br /> Bernard gave me a fair quote on Monday and by Tuesday evening they had the 2 trees "safely" down ( I stress safely because they were both located pretty tight between 2 houses ). I would & have recommended their services to all of my friends / neighbors. <br /> Thanks Guys ! <br />

<p>Two very tall (over 40 foot) trees in the woods behind our house were mostly dead -- and visible over the house from the front yard. They were the major effort given the height and location. Another smaller (25 foot) tree in front of the house was removed because it leaned toward the house. It was interesting watching how the crew handled it so that it came down without doing damage anywhere. The original appointment had to be rescheduled; but, Bernard stopped by personally to explain and we were taken care of first thing on the morning after Memorial Day. With a crew of seven, the entire job and cleanup was completed in only one hour.<br /> <br /></p> <br />

Bernard came to my door?.. I had several large oak trees that had limbs near the roof. One of the trees arched over the whole house. Bernard made a recommendation of what limbs and trees should be removed. All the work at my place was done by two tree climbers who were awesome to watch bring down the large tree branches piece by piece. The price was really competitive and his crew works fast. <br />

Bernard and his crew are the best tree company around. They gave me the best price by far, absolutely phenomenal! The crew was so fast and clean up everything. They even complete the job when it started to rain. They found a nest of baby squirrels in a tree, they gently removed them from the tree, and found the squirrels another safe home for them on the property. We were so amazed! Recommend Highly! <br />

<p>Bernard knocked on my door on a Saturday. His crew was across the street in a heavily wooded neighborhood. He was courteous and said he noticed a dead tree on my property and asked if we would like a quote. Because he was already in the area with the full crew he said he'd work on the price if we wanted it done today. He walked the yard and made suggestions and we agreed on a very good price. He was not pushy, but was knowledgeable. The crew showed up and they removed several large dead trees and trimmed up a couple of others. The wood I did not want they took with them, and the wood I wanted they cut up and stacked at the base of the tree. I did not have stump grinding done at this time. They came with excellent trucks and equipment (and Stihl chainsaws). Scrap and big branches were put in a large wood chipper and shot into one of their trucks. Excess logs were put in a big trailer hauled by another truck. Rakes were used to clean up my yard (on the snow) and in the street. Overall it was an excellent experience. Large crew took care of business, cleaned up, and were gone. Bernard said "when we're done you'll never use a different tree service again". He's right. </p> Highly recommend. <br />

Bernard came to the door and asked if we were interested in having any trees trimmed or taken care of on the property. He was cordial and professional from the start. Once we agreed on the price, his crew went to work within 30 minutes. They were fast, efficient, and clearly highly experienced at what they do. They finished the task within 3 hours, as promised. Knock on my door asking if I wanted some trees removed that I had marked. I said yes and they gave me a price. It was half of what other removal services had quoted me. They said they were insured etc and they could do it now as they had a crew in the neighborhood. Within the hour a partai crew showed up and started cutting. They ask what I wanted to do with the wood. They worked half one day and finished up the following morning. They have certainly knew what they were doing and how to do it! Brought equipment over from other job to grind up branches etc. I left the following morning and when I came back at noon it was all done. The wood was neatly stacked, brush all cleaned up and was neat and tidy. They even raked through the snow to remove all the little sticks and removed them. <br />To say I was delighted with their work is an understatement! Very professional and work was done fast, and complete.I will definitely use this company again, and I am somewhat hard to please. Lol <br />

I received 5 different estimates, LMI was the least expensive and very flexible wth scheduling the job. The crew arrived on time and they were very fast paced. The clean up was outstanding and my yard looked like they were never there. I would highly recommend this company to anyone. <br />

We received a free estimate for the tree trimming that we wanted and was so pleased with the initial work that we asked the crew to do even more trimming/removal of debri. The crew was professional and gave us more than we initially asked them to do. We recommend Bernard Johnson and his L.M.I. Tree Service who specializes in deep root feeding, tree trimming, pruning, shrubs, and stump grinding. We had hazardous and dangerous tree removal estimated as well as other tree trimming services completed. All of this accomplished in snow and icy conditions. So the large troop of workers did exactly what they advertised. The Maple tree in my back yard was quite large and had been damaged in a past ice storm. That damage made the tree lean in a precarious manner that I wasn't comfortable cutting down. That tree was apparently a piece of cake. The very large Pin Oak trees were also broken in the previous storm and large enough to possibly hit my home. The trees were dropped and didn't even come close to my house. The other issue with the two oaks was they were intermixed in a substantial garden and were very close to a very mature Japanese Maple, Tri-color Beech, two Blue Spruces and the other parts of my garden ? they hit NOTHING. Perfect drop. Then a couple of their workers made it up the other trees and trimmed out all the broken, dead and dangerous branches out of the trees. The whole job was 2 hours and 20 minutes, I timed it. I have done this work on my own many times (property is 4 acres) when its safe to do it. It would have taken me days to get all of this done. Again I couldn't drop 2 out of the 3 trees due to safety issues. They chipped the branches and left the logs for my fireplaces. The team of men then proceeded to rake up the back, front, and trimmed up areas as well as my driveway (which is not short). Every single man there was very kind, professional and polite. They were very concerned that I was happy with the job from start to finish. They not once took a break or asked me for a thing which would have been understandable since it was literally 3 degrees and about 10 below with the wind chill. Did I mention they gave me the option of keeping the chips for my gardens or LMI hauling them away? Sounds silly to some, I did opt to have them hauled off. However I could have kept them for spring use. It was a thoughtful offer and had it not been the dead middle of winter I would have kept the chips. Trees were about 3 stories for the maple 4-5 stories tall for the oaks, all very mature trees. Couldn't be happier. <br /> Thank you LMI if I need tree removal or trimming in the future I know who I am calling. <br />

The main supervisor, Bernard Johnson, who contracted with us to trim our trees was very personable and seemed to know a lot about trees. <br /> There were 10-12 men in this crew. They worked fast and did a good job. Most of this crew was speaking to each other in a non-english. The Foreman was young & spoke English ok. <br /> I personally would have felt better if the Supervisor would have stayed with the crew the whole time they were here. He was making other calls, and left the younger man in charge. <br /> There were so many men working on many trees at one time, it was hard for me to keep an eye on all of them at the same time, to make sure the right trees & branches were trimmed. Or perhaps the trees & limbs could have been marked as Mr Johnson and I were discussing/deciding which thrre & limbs to trim. I am in my seventies and wasn't sure I remembered all the trees we decided to work on. <br /> Overall, I was very pleased with the work done. <br /> <br /> <br />

UPDATE: We have no desire to damage LMI's business so, in all fairness to Mr. Johnson and the NEW management team, I am submitting this update. The stumps were taken care of in early November. The young man was here all day & did a very good job of grinding the stumps. FYI, the cost for the stump grinding was included in the original estimate/bill. <br /> <br /> All the way through this process, the work itself was performed in a professional manner and the personnel were very pleasant to work with. With the new management in place, I would consider giving them another try if we needed the service. I would, however, make sure that everything was completely spelled out in the estimate/bill and would withhold full payment until the entire job was complete. <br /> <br /> <br /> The tree cutting & removal went well, they were here for a total of 2 days. The price included stump grinding but, since there was approximately 3 ft of snow at the time, the grinding would have to wait until the snow was gone. It is now 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 26, 2014 and, although their return was promised for today - the last time we were able to get through to them - we are still waiting for them to show up. We have called the Sales Rep Chad & the owner Louis over and over and over and over again....if you're lucky enough to be able to leave a message (voice mailbox often full), they don't call back. They've told story after story (grinder's broken, etc.) and made multiple promises to come finish the job. We have other yard work including replacing our driveway to accomplish, but nothing can be done until the stumps are taken care of. <br /> I had put this review on hold in late July, thinking something was going to happen in the next few days. However, it is now September 8, 2014, more than six months after the trees were cut....still have 12 stumps to grind, between the 2 houses. Looks like our next step may be Small Claims Court to recover the cost of the grinding so we can hire a reputable firm to finish the job for us.

I contacted the company to trim several trees. Once the representative came out we discussed the project and he provided me with great price to also cut down a large box tree. The crew arrived on time and they did an excellent job with the project and the clean up. I paid in full and was told that they would come back to grind the stump down on Saturday, April 12. <br /> Today is July 21 and I am still waiting for Louis and crew to come grind the stump down. When I spoke to Louis he told me that the grinder was broke and he would be out in a few weeks The grinder being broke is a story that he has told other people based on the reviews I have read on this site. I have called repeatedly and have left countless messages (when the mailbox wasn't full). <br /> Since it's been more than three months, I don't think Louis is coming out to grind the tree down. It's been so long that branches and leaves have sprouted off the stump and it looks like I have another bush on my property. <br /> I plan on calling small claims court today. <br />

My husband was working in the yard and was approached by company sales rep Chad who said his crew was working in the neighborhood and would we like some trees trimmed. Quoted $550 for doing the work as noted above. Agreed to perform the work the following week. Although hesitant about these kinds of solicitations, checked Angie's List and were not dissuaded, as there were some positive reviews although some not so positive. For the price, we were willing to take the chance. <br /> <br />The crew came out first thing on the agreed upon day and got right to work. They did a very thorough trim job and cleaned up extremely well. Hardly a stick to be found on the lawn. As promised, they came back the following Saturday and ground out the three stumps. <br /> <br />Not an ultra professional tree service, but we got a lot done for a very good price. Would hire again for tree removal and trim. <br />

This was a scam. Chadd Evans, the rep for the company blitzed our suburban neighborhood alarming people about the state of our pines. Many of us were sucked in to have trees fed and some had pruning done as well. The trees didn't show any particular improvement. The company did not return in the fall. Several neighbors tried to call and found the number disconnected. Do not fall for this scam. <br />

The business manager Chad stopped by the house at 9:00am as his crew was just down the street and stated they were discounting tree trimming today at a cost of $100.00 per tree. (Maybe because the weather got up to a balmy 55 degrees) I told him we had plans to leave at 1:00pm & he stated that they would be done by then. Actually he was done by 12:30pm after arriving by 10:00am. When the crew arrived, they got right to work, performing the requested service quickly and safely. I completely agree with another reviewer who noted the most impressive was the level of meticulous clean-up: They removed all trimed dead branches as requested and completely removed all the brush. There wasn't a stick to be found when they were done. They actually raked my whole yard! The only way they could have done more clean-up would have been with a vacuum cleaner. I will definitely have LMI back for more work on our trees. A++ skills and customer service. <br /> <br />

They did a good job of cutting down the tree's. They were supposed to come back out the next wekend to grind the stumps. I have made repeated calls to the company to have them come grind the stumps. They always tell me the grinder is in the shop and they will call when it's out to set up a time to come out. They showed up without a call on Labor Day Saturday, when we had over 30 people in the yard for a party, i asked them to come back the next day, they never showed. I have called many times since and they never come out. I would not use this company again, don't pay them until the job is completely done.
