Long Island Garage Doors Repair & Services

I was referred to the company by a friend. So i called them and they were able to squeeze me in on the same day for a free estimate (most companys i called charged 40$-80$ just to come out).  The technician arrived within 45 minutes of The estimated time he quoted me and advised that the time was approximate because he did not know how long the job before mine would take. <br /> I know even less about the garage door openers and springs than I do about automobile engines or transmissions and AC units or major appliances.  Thus, like many, I am at the mercy of the honesty of the repair technician.  The long island garage door technician shared with me that the company that had repaired the door previously had installed the wrong size springs.  He let me know that likely mid sized springs would need to be replaced with proper sized springs, but he would give it a try to make the existing equipment work.  To my surprise he was able to adjust the existing springs.   <br /> I know it would be impossible to of had a less expensive repair done in such a timely manner by an honest and professional company. <br /> I am glad i used them and i am greatfull for there honest and reliable work. <br />

Jon as really helpful and went out of his way to help my parent's get their garage door opener working again. He even moved obstacles out of the way in order to make the garage space more useable. High quality work and also professionalism! It was very much appreciated! Thank you Jon. <br />

I will start by saying that after so many times of attempts to repair my <br /> door, finally I found the place who could make the garage door work <br /> again,and the funny thing that I paid the same amount I paid for repairs and service <br /> that didn't work. <br /> We have been experiencing difficulties closing our garage door.Our door is new <br /> and the company that installed the door came 3 times and tried to repair <br /> the problem,apparently the safety sensors kept breaking.After 2 <br /> attempts in which we paid 175$,we called Long Island Garage Doors to come <br /> and fix the door for us.They said they are busy during the weekend with <br /> emergencies,and if it is not an emergency, they will send someone on <br /> Monday,and that the service fee will ONLY BE 15$$. I received a call at 10;00 in the morning that the garage door had come apart from its hinges and I needed to come out immediately to survey the scene. We're in the middle of a home remodel and this is the last thing we expected to have to replace on the house. But, as always things happen. I calledm in the afternoon and was able to get through on the first try and they offered to come out that same evening to take a look at the door. I wasn't prepared to have them come out so quickly and since we do not have lights around the house we postponed to the following morning.  <br /> Jon the repair man was there ahead of schedule and met me having already looked at the garage door inside and out and was prepared to give me my options. I could either repair the door which he did not recommend since it was metal and very beat up and bent. or, he could replace the door with a similar door and have it installed by the next day if i wanted. I had priced garage doors online at both the super box stores as well as several other sites so I knew what to expect in terms of price but when he told me how much it would be for labor and materials I agreed immediately the price was extremely fair and given the fact that we have a "custom" size door I was certainly impressed.  <br /> dowFlash forward to the next morning Jon installer was there before me and had already removed the old damaged garage door by himself how I don't now, and was removing it at no additional charge to me. The new door was installed within 4 hours it looks beautiful, it functions beautifully and is stunning. I didn't notice in advance but the door actually opens up inside instead of outwards like an old-fashioned garage door it looks truly very modern and is a beautiful addition to our remodel so I highly recommend Long Island arage doors I couldn't be happier and I think all the angies list members would be too. <br />

I have been having this problem for a little while now and never had time to fix it and parked outside all the time but now that the winter in coming i had to get around to it. So i called Long Island Garage Doors and found them online and this very lady picked up the phone and gave me all the details so i made an appointment for that same day on a sunday wich was great because that was the only day i had time for it, in less then an hour the technician came and fixed the opener and most of the garage door rollers that was giving problems to the door (the price was great considering the hard work and long work the technician did). The door was working great and didnt make any noise anymore. I was very happy and i recommend Long Island Garage Doors for any of your garage door problems.  <br /> <br />

i was looking for a garage door repair company that would be able to get to my home asap, and long island garage doors steped up to the plate. <br /> This nice young man named Jon came in and had to pick up the door with no springs for me to be able to get my car out of the garage. After that he replaced not 1 but both of the springs and gave me a 10 year warrenty on it. <br /> The door worked way better then it did before, and i am just so happy and recommend that if you need you garage door serviced or repaired then these are the guys to call. <br />  Thanks Long Island garage doors <br /> <br />

I called at one pm , and the door was repaired by 6pm the same day.....Heavier gauge steel than we had , heavier duty hardware...the door opens and closes like a dream ....John is a good technician...... <br />
