It went well. There was one point it started leaking again but he came back to fix it. The contractor was very nice and resolved any issues. It took a while but otherwise I thought he was fine.

It went very, very well. John and his crew of men came the first day (the heavy rains day) to start the work of relieving the hydro-static pressure, which was the opposite of where I thought the water was coming into the house on rainy days. I thought it was through windows and walls. I came home holding my breath to see that despite minor flooding in parts of Brooklyn and a full day of rain the basement was dry! It was exactly what was needed; waterproofing. They came back after the holidays to complete the work of laying the drain pipes outside and were patient in explaining the work to me and what I would need to do, basically nothing as it is a self-managing system. John was not on site for the second part but his crew was very communicative and it was very easy to be in touch with John about the remaining work. They are very good about laying tarp down to keep floors safe and about clean up.
I called John because there was a leak in my basement every time it rained with water dripping in around the cesspool line. John quoted me $600 over the phone. He came promptly and after seeing my nice neighborhood decided it would actually cost $750. He said the job was actually more complicated than he thought though I felt like that was a transparently untrue story. I still (naively) agreed to the $750 because I just wanted the leaking to stop. He also gave me a 20 Year Guarantee (not much use when he won't complete the job). He dropped a guy off with some tools and left. This man worked on fixing the crack in my foundation for less than 2 hours and laid on my grass for the next hour waiting for John to pick him up. The next time it rained...surprise, surprise, the rain continued to leak into my basement. I've been calling John on and off for months now. He brought 2 guys back about a month ago (after my calling him over and over and over). These 2 guys attempted to seal the leak. Again John was not here when they did the work. The next time it rained, guess what? My basement has the same exact leak! I called John 2 weeks ago and told him I didn't want to chase him anymore and HE needed to come fix this (not one of these guys he drops off). He promised me he'd put me on his calendar for the beginning of the next week. That was last week and I still haven't heard from him. I am calling someone else to fix my leak and I'd like my $750 back!!!!!
LI Waterproofing had done extensive work in my basement for the previous owner, so I opted to give them a try myself to resolve new problems that had not been previously addressed. John and his men were responsive and professional. The work was done as expected and in a reasonable amount of time. The price was right for the scope of the work requested. Hand digging was required to expose the foundation outside. I opted to remove the plants in my garden bed myself before the work was done. I'm glad I did so. The men worked around the one larger hydrangea I did not move, and it was pretty roughed up during the process. (I cut back the broken branches that were covered with tar, and I think it will be OK.) We have had one good rain since the work was done, and the repaired areas in the basement show no signs of dampness. So I am hopeful. My sole criticism of the work is that clean-up could have been done better. Gravel used to fill the window well was spilled into the adjacent garden bed on top of plants. I spent about 2 hours sorting that out and sweeping the porch and basement where dirt and cement were left.
I couldn't ask for a better contractor. John Puma and his crew were outstanding. Extremely professional and punctual.
When I first met John I got a positive vibe that he was going to be the one to do the job. I interviewed several companies and John gave me a fair price for the work he was going to do. He was very knowledgeable about the work that needed to be done. I was getting water in my basement and we came to the conclusion that water proofing the foundation wall was going to be the rout to go.
He also re-pitched my pavers in the yard so that the water would not lay in the yard after every rain storm. He also added proper drainage in the yard to divert the water away from the house.
After the water proofing was done he and his crew poured new concrete throughout the driveway.
If you are looking to get this type of work done, look no further. This company did it right.
Professional, knowledgeable and very clean when working. John and his crew were great.
Two major storms and not a drop of water in my basement now.... A+

It has been almost two months that the work was done and so far I had not have a drop of water on the basement after all the

snow and the rain that we have had.

I am waiting that the weather gets warmer to call John to finish the work by doing the sidewalk in the backyard by the basement

because could not be done due to low temperature. He promised that as soon as the weather allows it and I call him to see when is convenient for me he will come .
.
First, let me say that I called John out of desperation because I had hired another basement waterproofing company to rectify water leakage into my basement. That contractor dug and repaired at the side of my house and then the leak moved to the back. The water was pouring in for months and months and although he graciously sent workers back he insisted that my back deck was improperly installed and that was why the water continuted to pour into the basement. I offered to pay him extra to waterproof the back wall but he insisted that it was the deck and not the foundation. Not so. I finally called Long Island Waterproofing who was local and John arrived. He took one look and immediatley told me that he could see cracks in the foundation at the chimney and the wall would have to be sealed. His workers were prompt, neat, dug all the way to the foundation and sealed the cracks. At first I was worried because they were a small company and he said, "I live in this community, I promise you that I will make sure things are done right." He was absolutely lovely to deal with as were his workers. When the work was done he came back to inspect to make sure the workers had cleaned up everything neatly, which they had. I only wish I had found him first. I waited to write this review to make sure that the water problem was solved. It was. As a side note, yesterday I had to have a mold remediator thanks to the months of water that was not rectified. It really matters who you pick when you are not informed and are relying upon a professional opinion.
My mother's had water leaking in her basement in her house. We called several contractors. John reached out to us quickly and was extremely professional and polite. Within a few days, he scheduled the job and his crew worked in the freezing cold to dig a trench and correct the problem for my parents. For the work they did, he gave her a reasonable price and was extremely sympathetic to my elderly parents. We would absolutely hire him again!

Ken provided quick turnaround on quote and on work. We asked for a couple of quote options and Ken was pleasant and willing to help. Workers were careful, quite and respectful, worked really hard all day. Must have walked up and down steps a hundred times to carry out debris in buckets. Cleaned up after themselves. Ken checked in each morning and afternoon. Forgot to perform one part of job, the brick window well rim, but came back in a few days and finished that off.

I tried to use the Angie's list 10% off coupon but couldn't use it because the price given was already a reduced price.

The work itself they did OK but they installed the wrong window and most troubling, charged my credit card without asking my permission.
We agreed on the price of $4800 for the installation of an Egress window in my basement. I asked them for a window that can be easily opened with a simple handle. I specifically told them I don't want a crank handle because it can't be opened easily. That's the point of an Egress window, right? that anyone even a child would be able to easily get out in case of a fire. Therefore, I asked for the spec of the window they were going to install. They sent me a link to the vendor's web site and looking through I saw it had a crank handle. So, I emailed them back and said I don't see the simple handle they told me about. To that the sales guy responded "I can assure you" that there is a simple handle in addition to the crank handle.
They installed the window and indeed there was no simple handle, only the crank handle that I so much wanted to avoid. I emailed them and the sales guy responded that he sees so many windows he must have gotten confused but that he was going to some show room and will get back to me with options.
Here's the worst part - few days past and I was still waiting to hear back. The end of the month arrived and when I was paying my credit cards I noticed they charged my credit card without my approval. They knew I won't approve it until they resolve their mistake and so fraudulently took the liberty to use the credit card number they had from the deposit payment to clear the balance.
So, even if you hire them be careful: DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER because you don't know for what they are going to use it.
John was excellent to deal with - he was courteous, professional and on-time. He did everything he said he would within the time frame he quoted. His team was great as well, very respectful and hard working. They did an amazing job - my basement walls look great and the windows are perfect, it made such a difference. I would recommend him a million times over, completely satisfied with their work - in fact I wish I had used them for the drainage system I installed earlier this year.
We were able to complete the project in the time frame that was needed. Workers were on time, courteous, neat and a pleasure to deal with. The owner and the salesman make a good team, and worked together to make sure the job was completed and that I was satisfied.

I got a quote from Ken. He was responsive , fair and knowledgeable. Some waterproofing companies suggest you put a French pump outside your foundation , this company dies not. They believe you should not make holes in your foundation. They started the job quickly, which is very important since a crack in the foundation will continue to leak water till it's fixed. Time is of essence . I was able to negotiate the price for 54 " of concrete, cut down 9 ". 5 inch wide waterproofing, 24 foot PVC drain .all came to $11200.00. It's a fair price, you need to negotiate it. I paid nearly 1/2 up front. They are reputable . The job finished within 1 week. So far no leak. You should find the leak yourself before hiring people to fix it. Hope this helps you in your search.

.You would think he was a real nice guy but He definitely does not back up his work because I still never heard from him. Granted I don't understand why he just return a fix the problem. So no I would not reccomend his company to any one.
John and his team were excellent. They did a fantastic job. They came in and sealed a crack we had in the foundation of our home. It took they about 3 hours. After reviewing the results of their work, you honestly could hardly tell that an issue existed prior. They are very good at what they do. They cleaned up afterwards. All is good.
