Posted a review already in the past. Not sure why the original is not there and why we are being asked to do this all over again. How did it go, it went horribly. That's all we have to say due to ANGIE'S LIST ALLOWING CONTRACTORS TO VERBALLY ATTACK MEMBERS IN THEIR RESPONSE and YOU, THE PAYING MEMBER ARE NOT ALLOWED the OPPORTUNITY REFUTE SUCH LIABLE COMMENTS. FURTHERMORE, the vendor IS NOT HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR SLANDER and/or UNPROFESSIONALISM. Appears ANGIE'S LIST IS ONLY INTERESTED IN YOUR MONEY AND NOT PROVIDING A PROFESSIONAL REFERENCE. Would not surprise us if Lou will once again responds with more maligning comments and exaggerations of the events.

Crew did a spectacular job, worked fast, were punctual and left the yard raked better than it was before they arrived. They removed all debris and even ground the roots of the trees, not just the stumps.

We had a large tree fall against our home during an intense storm that caused widespread tree damage throughout the city. Called Lou's early Saturday morning and told them we had an emergency. Lou and a member of his team were at our house in less than 30 minutes. They immediately got to work cutting away the worst branches from the ground & roof. They reached a break point and left to go get the machinery to remove the remaining massive trunk. They returned shortly with a full crew and several large trucks and a chipper. They did some complex rigging and got everything out efficiently, and chipped or hauled away all debris. They then raked and cleaned up and were done by late afternoon (which is amazing given the scope of the damage and removal). Throughout the process, Lou and his crew were hard working, polite, and pleasant. That meant a lot to us under the stressful circumstances. Lou clearly knows his work, and was great to work with. I noticed one other review here that was very negative - our experience could not have been any more night and day, so I am suspicious of whoever wrote it. I would not hesitate to use them again, or recommend them to anyone else.

Seems cooperative and friendly during estimate, BUT once you agree to do business with him forget it. Confrontational, does not keep in contact, several "no shows", many excuses, left a bit of a mess. <br> <br>What should have been take care of in a day or two dragged on. Said he would start work in a week or two after he finished a job. Took well over a month and half to even get them back on the premises to begin discussed work. <br> <br>Started job one day, left cut tree laying in yard. Did not return for another couple of days. Tried to reach him, almost every time he did not answer or return calls. He has people working with him but it seems no one else can return calls when he is "busy" and can not be bothered to let you know why he did not show up for "appointment". <br> <br>If you read other reviews, not on Angie's list, you may want to take notice that the names, dates and wording as are almost all by the same group of people on every site. Just something to think about. <br> <br> <br> <br>

"The job did take longer than anticipated as weather conditions did not cooperate with us and we had approx. 100yds of grass to drag all the brush across (from tree to our chipper) it was not ideal. We did an outstanding removal on a massive dead walnut tree behind her house and even let her pay us some of the money a few weeks later as she did not have it all at time of completion. (This was not originally agreed to as the job was supposed to be paid in full upon completion but for some reason she didn't have it) she sent us a card after payment was made saying how thankful she was and even sent some homemade dog cookies home with me and the crew. A few things threw me off about her though that I later confronted her about which were the facts that she kept asking my guys for cigarettes while they were working and also how she told us about all her terminal medical conditions and how many pills she took and how moody she could get, don't get me wrong I feel for her but that was not the time it place for those types of discussions in my opinion. So overall I agree that things didn't go 100% on her job and sometimes they dont but we do strive to do the absolute best and safest job we can and we are very proud to have so many satisfied customers over the years. She says the reviews and comments look similar but on any business page we have they must be verified and I can provide contact info to each and every customer who has ever posted a review. So with all said and done it was still an experience to say the least and when the day was done its another tree down safe and another lesson learned."
