Kevin might be the best contractor we've worked with. He showed up when he said he would. Communicated with us the entire time. Set our expectations on timing and met them. Cleaned up! And did beautiful work. When the project became bigger in scope and cost than we anticipated (thanks to having a 100+ year old home), not only did he communicate with us as everything progressed, he did a mini side project for us to make up for it. Kevin is incredibly professional, nice, respectful, and down to earth. I wish we knew about him when we renovated our Master Bathroom. Any future projects that we can get him involved in, we will.

It was such a pleasure to work with Kevin and Alberto from Love Tile and Marble. Kevin was super responsive, trustworthy, and honest throughout the vetting/estimate process and that trait was consistent throughout the work. He was pretty easy to a get a hold of when I had questions leading up to the start date of the job and was also flexible with the starting date (working around my wife's travel schedule) which we very much appreciated. The floors look amazing thanks to their hard work and a clear attention to detail. I would go out of my way to recommend Kevin and Love Tile and Marble to anyone who needs tile work done. We couldn't be happier.

Kevin and his helper Alberto were very professional and courteous. They were neat, organized and cleaned up after themselves. Kevin took his time to make sure the design was symmetrical. He always stayed in communication with me by text or phone throughout the entire process. He worked with my own carpenter and plumber to coordinate the drain installation and the toiletry niche construction. At one point, he did an errand for me and picked up an extra slab of Carrera marble at Avalon Tile and I was impressed by his customer service. Kevin was the most expensive estimate I received, but I was willing to pay the extra money because I believed I was in good hands. As with most construction projects, we hit a few road bumps. Our first problem occurred with the 12x12 Carrera marble floor tiles in the master bathroom. They had to rip out the brand new marble tile and the mud floor right after it was completed because the tile pattern was erratic and aesthetically unappealing. After the fact, other tile professionals informed me that a dry layout is always necessary when installing marble tiles due to their natural variations. So I was upset that I paid approximately $2600 in additional material and labor to make it right. I should not have assumed that responsibility 100%. The second time around they did a dry layout of the floor tile and the results were phenomenal. It was a beautiful flow of marble variations. Kevin and Alberto installed 3x6 subway tile in my hall bathroom. Most of the cuts had small chips on the edges and they stood out to me because the denim color of the tile was only on the surface. I have a discerning eye and some of the cuts were directly at eye level. Kevin said that he felt it was acceptable to see chips with ceramic colored tile, but I did not agree. I am pretty particular about workmanship with high expectations. I don't expect perfection, but I am looking for something close to that. Plus, my mother owned a tile store for 7 years so I knew how it should look. I did not want him to rip out every chipped tile because I was concerned about further damage so I only focused on the cuts that were at eye level. He polished all of the edges of the new cut tiles and they met my original expectations. When Kevin installed the marble tile in my master bathroom, he was on board about polishing the edges so the tile work came out stunning! However, I wasn't happy when he asked me for another $600 to cover the cost of the additional time he spent to polish each tile. In the end, we settled on $300 to keep things peaceful but I felt I shouldn't have to pay extra for a straight edge without chips. While this road bump was a little frustrating for me, I will say that Kevin was professional and courteous throughout the entire process. He listened to my concerns and he wanted to make it right. Customer satisfaction is one of his top priorities. When Kevin installed the Carrera marble mosaic floor in the hall bathroom, his helper Alberto used the sanded Power grout that the tile store sold to me. We were under the impression that Power grout won't scratch the marble, but that was not correct. There were scratches all over my brand new floor. Again, Kevin wanted to make it right and he hired someone to restore the floor and buff the surface. It wasn't quite polished at first so he asked the guy to come back and polish it. In the end, it wasn't the same as a factory finished marble floor polish but I appreciated that Kevin wanted to correct the mistake. These kinds of things happen during construction projects and the sign of a good businessman is someone who wants to make the customer happy. I think it is also important to point out that Kevin came back to my house when the entire project was complete to correct any minor issues after I had already paid him!! I love when contractors continue to offer great service after the job is complete and after they are paid. What great service! At the end of the project, I was left with over $300 of special order tile that I could not return because Kevin's square footage measurements were higher than actual. I wanted a few extra tiles leftover, but not several boxes. Just double check your square footage on your own to make sure you are not over ordering. Kevin and Alberto also installed the Calacatta Gold marble around my fireplace. He had the patience to work with my carpenter on this project and he did a dry layout of the marble sheets. The tile work is gorgeous! The fireplace is so beautiful! It is one of my favorite things in my home. In summary, when guests visit my home they think my bathrooms look beautiful! So, if you ask Kevin up front to polish the edges of the tiles, to do a dry layout of your marble installation and then double check your square footage for tile orders - you will be in good hands.

"[Member Name Removed], First and foremost I'd like to thank you for the opportunity to be a part of your renovation, and for your honest review. I genuinely value thorough reviews such as yours because it helps me take a look at where I can better my business. We did, in fact, hit a few road bumps. The first being your Carrara mosaics in your hall bath. Alberto did scratch the floor pretty severely, and we took every step after that occurred to ensure that we got the floor back to it's original condition. You are absolutely correct in saying that it just wasn't the same as a factory polish. I appreciate your praise for my constant communication, but I definitely feel that had I better communicated with you, and with my guys, we would have had "A's" down the line on this review. I try my best to stay in constant communication with my clients throughout each project, and I certainly did with you. After a bit of reflection once your job was complete, however, I realized that the communication wasn't necessarily very clear. I think this is where some of the problems occurred. I'd like to touch on a few areas where I think I wasn't as clear up front about the outlined work to be sure we were on the same page. First, the demin colored tile did have minor chips due to cutting. I was a on board with you to remove those, and polish them at no charge. The blue glazing was only on the surface, so the white chips were a bit of an eyesore. The Master Bath, however, was a different story. Because the tile was white all the way through, I felt that it was unnecessary to spend another day polishing the material due to the fact that the chips were almost impossible to see, especially with white grout. I understand that each of our ideas as to what was, or was not, necessary could have been communicated a bit more thoroughly. As a business owner, responsibility of that communication is, without a doubt, mine. As to your Master Bath floor, I have a completely different recollection of what occurred. After the floor was installed, you and I took a look at it upon completion, and we were both pleased. The following day we noticed 4-5 tiles had turned a light gray. I offered to remove and replace the darker pieces, and you explained that you didn't like the material altogether (not the flow of how the material was installed). You stated that you almost felt it was not what you selected from the distributor in which you purchased it. I offered a few solutions to not have to tear out the whole floor, but you wanted to start from scratch, with new material. The new material had a completely different, cleaner look. I know you say you weren't looking for perfection, but I think you were. I mean this in the most complimentary way possible. In the 16 years I've been in the business, you held me to the highest standard of any client. You should expect the best when hiring someone to work in your home. If we fell short of your expectations, please know that your review helped us to continue to raise the bar on our workmanship. Thanks again for your business, and Happy New Year!"

Kevin's work was truly flawless and his attention to detail is amazing. He always communicated his plan and timeline and sent pics/updates on days we were not around. He cleaned up each day, and even cleaned our stainless steel appliances after replacing them, and hosed down the back deck when he was done! It was the little extra touches like this that truly set him apart. The finished product is beautiful. I would highly recommend Kevin to anyone looking for tile work!!!

Kevin did a great job on our entryway floors! From start to finish, he was very easy to work with and professional. Kevin was able to provide suggestions on areas that may have been a challenge and made the floors look great. He was conscientious of our need to get to areas of our home by the entryway and made sure we were able to have access each evening. It truly was a great experience and I wouldn't hesitate from recommending Kevin in the future.

From start to finish, Kevin was the consummate professional. He was very responsive to phone and text, came out to look at the job and make a plan for the installation. He was clearly very knowledgeable about glass tile and an expert in tile design/installation. He and his assistant came exactly when they said they would to do the job, and created a beautiful backsplash for me. I've had some challenges with contractors lately, and Kevin really helped me out of a jam and was a bright light in a sea of frustration! The entire process was smooth from start to finish.

Kevin and his crew were amazing. We bought a really tough material for our back-splash. It was a glass tile with each piece at 3”x1” on a mesh in a herringbone pattern. Initially the contractor who was working on our kitchen remodel was to do the back-splash but he stopped after working with a few sheets and not being able to get the cuts to look clean. We found Love Tile and Marble through Angie’s List and lucky for us we did. Love Tile and Marble called back the same day I put in for an estimate. Kevin was able to come out based on our schedule, which is really convenient. He was very informative and knowledgeable about the process. Any questions we had he responded very respectfully and in terms that were not too complicated as sometimes happens with contractors. We reviewed several tile guys on Angie’s list. The main decider was Kevin's friendliness and the pictures on Love Tile's Facebook page of past work he did. We are so happy we chose him. He was able to schedule us almost immediately. Which for us was great as the remodel was done save for this one final piece. In two days we had a back-splash and it looked amazing. Pics below so you can see for yourself. Kevin clearly has a great attention to detail. The edges of the glass cuts look very clean and the flow of the herringbone pattern is very level. We are amazed at how great it looks. Definitely will call again for any tiling we need to do. He did such an amazing job that the contractor who remodeled our house, asked if he could have Kevin's information for future tile work.

Love Tile & Marble’s owner, Kevin McCall, is the superman of tile! He truly saved the day. He has a meticulous eye for detail, fantastic customer service, and the quality of his work is second to none. Kevin and his crew turned our nightmare bathroom into the nicest room in our house. From our initial consultation to our handshake goodbye, Kevin was as professional as it gets. At the end of every day Kevin and his crew cleaned up so well you would never know we were under construction. What struck us the most was Kevin's knowledge and skill, and the pride all the guys at Love Tile took in their work. We could not have asked for a better experience and our only regret is that we don't have any more rooms to tile!

We originally hired another company to renovate our bathroom. After 8 grueling weeks of unbridled incompetence, we had what amounted to a junior high shop project. Our original contractors left with the job half done and the bathroom was a total mess. We needed help and needed it bad, so we found Love Tile on Angie’s List and Kevin came out the next day. He clearly knew what he was talking about and his professionalism immediately put us at ease. The estimate he gave us was quite reasonable, too. Kevin brought in a crew to remove the old tile from the floor and walls, reframe the shower stall, and rebuild the walls. He brought in a plumber to help sort out the mess the last crew made as well. Once the old mess was removed Kevin worked his magic tiling the shower stall with ceramic tile and a glass mosaic border and marble shelves, as well as the bathroom floor. We are so thrilled with the outcome and love our beautiful new bathroom!

Had a great experience with Love Tile and Marble! If you are looking for high quality workmanship, honest people to work in your home, at reasonable prices, this is the company to go with. Trust me. If you want to know more, read on....

I was introduced to Love Tile and Marble through a claim with my home owner's insurance. Kevin and his team were sent out as sub-contractors for the tile repair. The insurance company paired us with a project manager to handle all aspects of the demolition and re-building of our two bathrooms. Long story short - we had a terrible experience with that project manager, and their other sub-contractors (the electrician, plumber, etc). The ONLY positive experience we had through the entire process was with Love Tile and Marble. Their workmanship was superior. They showed professionalism. And just as important, they showed respect for my home. These guys put down canvas to protect my hardwood floors and wiped their boots on the mat before they came in. It may seem like small gestures. But, through the 3 months of hellish renovations and dozens of contractors in and out of my home, the respectful ones stand out.

After choosing my new floor tile, Kevin made suggestions on the pattern because of the imperfections in the tile (1/3 pattern, as opposed to the 1/2 pattern I originally wanted). I agreed with his suggestion and the floors came out beautifully! We also hired him again for other work, since we were so happy with his previous work.

Bottom line - Kevin and his team are utterly fantastic. Fair and reasonable prices for top quality workmanship (which I can personally attest - is tough to find these days).

It couldn't have gone any smoother working with Kevin. He was responsive, professional and delivered first quality work. We originally thought we could tackle the kitchen backsplash ourselves, but the tile we selected combined glass and stone. Didn't want to take a chance and opted for a tile expert. He arrived on time and quickly completed the job with little to no mess. We are extremely pleased and cannot believe our kitchen is finally done! Highly recommend Love Tile and Marble for any home improvements. They do not disappoint!

We required a rip out of existing tile in our Master bath and re-tiling. Kevin was typically prompt, and always courteous. My wife said he was the cleanest worker she had ever seen because he was cleaning up a lot as he went.
He ripped out the drywall and installed proper tiling cement board. We worked out an arrangement for installing an out-cove for shampoos and such. He coordinated with a plumber for setting in the shower drain/floor. He was very careful about laying out our 6x8 tiles around the shower stall so the pattern ended in a balanced way.
He then removed an existing tub, laid down new cement board and re-tiled around that as well. He was dilligent about how the orientation and length of the tiles would end up, given that the rectangular arrangement added complexity. He would "Face-time" me at work to ensure I was on board with his proposals. He finally tiled the floor and was careful with the threshold transition. We were really happy with his work and the final result.
Part way through the job my daughter ended up in the hospital with an asthma attack (and perhaps it might have been the result of dust from the tear out but we can say for sure). So to our surprise Kevin and his co-worker ended up having flowers delivered to my daughter's hospital room. How many contractors would do that?
Very responsive and punctual. Provided estimate and description of work to be done. The wet bed required extensive demo which required additional crew that were called in same-day. They worked well and even coordinated directly with my plumber where scheduling was a concern. Once the floor was pulled up, Kevin confirmed that the configuration would require another wet bed underneath the tile. He gave me the exact details of the additional cost and obtained my consent before-hand. I am very happy with the level of service and price point. Will definitely be hiring them again!
Kevin and his team did a phenomenal job. We are so excited about the finished results and love the way it looks. He was professional, impeccably clean, trustworthy and gave great advice every step of the project. We even considered holding off on the project because we were unsure about spending the money. But after meeting Kevin, felt that we wouldn't find anyone as nice and great to work with. He came highly recommended from many other people in the community and after have two other bids on the project, we knew his prices were fair as well. We would not hesitate to recommend him to family and friends and will use him again for any future project.

It went great. Kevin was very thorough and had attention to detail which my husband and I appreciated. The project lasted a few weeks and there were a few hiccups along the way--not Kevin's fault, but par for the course when demoing things in an older home. Through the whole project Kevin was very clean to ensure dust did not go all throughout the house and was able to answer all questions we had. He showed up on time and did an amazing job. I had gotten a few other quotes and his quote was fair. If I need to have any other tile jobs completed in the future I would definitely hire Kevin again and I will recommend him to family and friends.
My husband and I had already been working on this room for a month before we gave up. What we learned was it was too time consuming, stressful and not as easy as it appeared.
Kevin was fast and easy to work with. He actually had to remove a couple rows of tiles that we put down as they were popping up?he didn't charge us for this. He had a positive attitude and great work ethic. We ran out of tile at the very end and he tried to track it down when Home Depot didn't have it on hand. We are going to have him work on our bathroom next.

Quality: The whole bathroom seems fresh and new as a result of Kevin's excellent work. We have tile in other rooms in the house (installed by general contractor) and this is, by far, the best installation. What a difference using a professional tiler! Kevin suggested a diagonal layout, as it would make our tiny room look larger. I was unsure but he was absolutely spot-on. The corners are perfect. Cuts around toilet and sink and under radiator are minimal. The new threshold (wood floor to the porcelain tile bathroom floor) is flawless. Finally, I really wanted a tile trim on the wall (removing the old wood baseboards) for a clean look and for the functionality of easy cleaning (3 boys using this bathroom every day!). Kevin made sure to install the new trim to a perfect height to mask imperfections in our old plater walls. It looks amazing with the tile floor.
Professionalism: Kevin (and subcontractor) were courteous, clean, punctual, and as quiet as possible
Communication: I wanted to make this a separate category bc, as well as quality of his work, Kevin really stood out here. I find it very difficult to get jobs going with contractors bc they are hard to reach, often late or don't show, and then, when contract is signed, they become even more unresponsive to start or finish job. Kevin was easy to reach, listened to my ideas, worked with me on the schedule (when he was ready to do the project we were hosting a party so we pushed the date back to suit my needs), and even made a quick change when something was not to my liking during the install. I cannot overemphasize how much more pleasant it was to work with Kevin compared with my average contractor experience with other projects. He is a professional in all aspects
Kevin does all the tiling work himself. His main strength is his personality and his communication. When discussing the project he listened well, and he was always very on top of calling me and letting me know when he would be here or if he was being delayed. The guys he sent to rip out the existing tile were courteous and professional. At one point when we ran out of tile material he spent an entire morning driving around to 3 different supply stores to find matching tile. Overall, I found him easy to work with and organized, and the backsplash looks great.
