"[Member Name Removed], First and foremost I'd like to thank you for the opportunity to be a part of your renovation, and for your honest review. I genuinely value thorough reviews such as yours because it helps me take a look at where I can better my business. We did, in fact, hit a few road bumps. The first being your Carrara mosaics in your hall bath. Alberto did scratch the floor pretty severely, and we took every step after that occurred to ensure that we got the floor back to it's original condition. You are absolutely correct in saying that it just wasn't the same as a factory polish. I appreciate your praise for my constant communication, but I definitely feel that had I better communicated with you, and with my guys, we would have had "A's" down the line on this review. I try my best to stay in constant communication with my clients throughout each project, and I certainly did with you. After a bit of reflection once your job was complete, however, I realized that the communication wasn't necessarily very clear. I think this is where some of the problems occurred. I'd like to touch on a few areas where I think I wasn't as clear up front about the outlined work to be sure we were on the same page. First, the demin colored tile did have minor chips due to cutting. I was a on board with you to remove those, and polish them at no charge. The blue glazing was only on the surface, so the white chips were a bit of an eyesore. The Master Bath, however, was a different story. Because the tile was white all the way through, I felt that it was unnecessary to spend another day polishing the material due to the fact that the chips were almost impossible to see, especially with white grout. I understand that each of our ideas as to what was, or was not, necessary could have been communicated a bit more thoroughly. As a business owner, responsibility of that communication is, without a doubt, mine. As to your Master Bath floor, I have a completely different recollection of what occurred. After the floor was installed, you and I took a look at it upon completion, and we were both pleased. The following day we noticed 4-5 tiles had turned a light gray. I offered to remove and replace the darker pieces, and you explained that you didn't like the material altogether (not the flow of how the material was installed). You stated that you almost felt it was not what you selected from the distributor in which you purchased it. I offered a few solutions to not have to tear out the whole floor, but you wanted to start from scratch, with new material. The new material had a completely different, cleaner look. I know you say you weren't looking for perfection, but I think you were. I mean this in the most complimentary way possible. In the 16 years I've been in the business, you held me to the highest standard of any client. You should expect the best when hiring someone to work in your home. If we fell short of your expectations, please know that your review helped us to continue to raise the bar on our workmanship. Thanks again for your business, and Happy New Year!"
