Tom did a great job installing the fence in my backyard. It took a few weeks to order the materials and schedule a date, but once he arrived, the work was done quickly and very well, for WAY less than other quotes I had received. Other quotes were nearly double the price. Highly recommended!

Tom was great. His price beat all the big companies. He was friendly and easy to work with. He did a great job and got everything done quickly. He was conscientious of the bottom edge since we have little dogs. He listened to what we wanted and offered suggestions. We are very happy with the fence and the work done. We have recommended him to several friends and we were very glad to support a local family business.

I had three bids, and Tom Lucas Fencing had the best offer, especially because he was able to deal with removing part of the driveway, while the two other companies couldn't do that. I also like to hire a small family business rather than a big company. The two competitive companies were set up with salespeople, receptionists etc. The end product looks really great. It took some time to get it done, partially because he had some difficult jobs he had to finish up and partially because we changed our plan so he had to wait for the extra material. I only wish he had been a bit more proactive about informing me of the delay. When he did come out he got it done really fast. We already have had a strong windstorm and the fence barely moved. I definitely recommend Tom Lucas, and I would hire him again!

I originally hired Lucas fencing in 2014 to install a six foot privacy fence . That went smoothly, price was reasonable, and job was completed in a timely manner. Now, three years later there was some damage to the fence I believe caused by bad weather and the ground settling . I called in July 2017 and the call was returned. I explained to Mr. Lucas what the issue was and that I wanted to get the fence fixed as I have a small child and a dog, and was afraid the panel would come out. He told me someone would be out by the end of the week, no problem. Well, no one came. I have called four more times since July and left messages. No one has called back and I now have to find someone else to do the work. I have had several people ask who did my fence, but I won't recommend them based on the fact when there is an issue they don't get back to you. Very disappointed .

We put down a deposit of $4300.00 on April 24 which was half of the total. I emailed on 6/1, 6/23, 7/16, 8/5 as to the start date. The responses were always delayed by one or two days and there was never a commitment as to a date. He never answers a phone call, I tried that also. On 8/5, over three months after the deposit, we insisted the job start by the end of August or the money be returned. He stated that he would start within the month. On 9/7 there was still no fence and we said that if he didn’t start the next day we were done. He started four days later. As for the actual fence, it is OK. My husband made minor corrections himself as we wanted this to be over.

After several delays for work schedule and weather, work was accomplished in a professional manner.

Mr. Lucas did a great job. The final project is very professionally done. The only issues I had is the lack of responsiveness and communication.

Fantastic. What I really liked about Lucas Fence was the flexibility, Tom came out on a Sunday to do the estimate. He also treated my yard as if it was his own, he was respectful and left it very clean with no damage to flower beds and grass. Price was very good, reasonable and the end product looks as if I spent a lot of money. Highly recommend Lucas.

The work was excellent and the price very reasonable.

Lucas Fencing installed a split rail fence, four gates, and a small section of picket fence. The fence turned out great,  and they were even able to duplicate a design detail from the existing picket. 

We are very happy with our new fence. Tom was to our house within a week when we first called to discuss the job. We sent him pictures of the custom fence we were looking to have added on on side of our driveway about 80 feet. After we selected him he brought by a small sample of how it would look. We wanted a fence style that you don't see very often on East coast. Tom was the best quote we received and was very confident he could complete the custom fence to our liking. Tom does all the work and is busy so you must be patient. Once he got to our project he was done in a few days. <br />

Tom is very busy but once you have him scheduled you will be more than happy with the work he does. I couldn't be happier with the fence that he installed. He had it installed in a matter of 1.5 days, which included removing old fence and installing 300' of new fencing. His crew is on time and very efficient and a pleasure to deal with. I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for a fence. He delivers on quality and cost. <br /> <br />

We give LUCAS FENCING a 9 out of 10.  We would definitely use them again.  Here are the pros and cons we had with this experience. <br /> PROS: <br />   Tom Lucas is very friendly, promptly returns messages and phone calls, and keeps appointments. <br />   He and his crew did excellent quality work without wasting any time.  They arrived promptly on the scheduled day. <br />   He had no problem with minor changes we had while the fence was being repaired. <br />   He is trustworthy; he came back for the old posts just like he said he would, and honored the Angie's List discount when it was  <br />     forgotten on an amended invoice. <br />    <br /> CONS: <br />   It took awhile for us to get a scheduled date, farther out than expected (2 weeks vs 5 weeks).  His timetable was affected by the <br />     bad weather we were experiencing, so it wasn't a major issue.  <br />   He had to come back for the old posts instead of taking them that day due to the existing weight on his truck.  He did pick them up <br />     as promised 2 days later. <br /> 9/10.  Thanks Tom! <br />

Took a while to get them scheduled due to how busy they are but once Tom and his team arrived on site they did a great job and were very timely and efficient. Price was very reasonable.

I'm extremely pleased with my new fence.  From start to finish it was a great experience.  I highly recommend Lucas Fencing. <br />

The weather didn't cooperate at first, but once he got started, in 2 days it was complete and I'm very happy with the work.   Tom was professional and very nice.  Easy to work with and I would recommend him to anyone needing a fence. <br />
