Reviews
Write a ReviewI was very disappointed with this company. Mike overpromised and underdelivered every step of the way. Unfortunately, I think he was trying trying to work beyond his skill level and then just ended up giving up before project completion. We will end up having to redo this project. I requested a quote for an overlay on a concrete basement floor to prep for LVP installation. Itâ s about 500sqft and just not a job we wanted to do ourselves. We were delighted when Lucrative concrete came back with a reasonable quote and said they could start the following morning and it would be ready for flooring 24 hours after they were done. He said he would be at my house at 9am the next day. He didnâ t show up until around 4pm to take measurements and drop off material. The next day he and his wife show up well after noon and start grinding the floors to prep for concrete. They didnâ t adequately seal off the area so thick cement dust went throughout my house. A thick layer on EVERYTHING. Not stuff you want to be breathing in. They stayed until 2AM trying to get it done. I was fine with this since I wasnâ t working that week and I was eager to install the floors. Unfortunately, a day or 2 later when we were preparing to lay floor, we realized the floor was nowhere near flat. The LVP flooring allows for a 3/16â deviation over 10ft. The video I sent them of his finished work showed approx 3/4â within 6ft! He said he would come back to fix it. Cool. He said he ended up using another 9 bags of cement to flatten it but it was done. A day or so later, Iâ m getting ready to lay flooring again and realize the concrete is cracking under my feet and sounds hollow, AND there are still low and high spots that will void my flooring warrantee. I reach out to him again and he says heâ ll come back to look at it. He agrees floor didnâ t adhere in areas, he thought maybe he didnâ t use the primer properly before laying concrete. He says heâ ll pull up the bad areas and marks out where he is going to flatten the rest of the floor. The next day he shows up in the evening and breaks out the cracking area. Says heâ ll be back to finish the following day. Never shows up. Says heâ ll be there the next morning. 5pm rolls around, he comes in and fills in the broken out area he left then leaves without a word. He didnâ t touch the low areas he marked. He took his tools and isnâ t responding to texts so I assume he is not coming back. What Mike said was a 2 day project has now become 3 weeks and he just gave up. Unfortunately leveling a basement floor was outside his scope: he bit off more than he could chew. On top of his lack of skills in this type of project, he didnâ t show up when he said he would once and sometimes didnâ t bother showing up at all. He didnâ t protect my home from dust. And several times he left windows and our back door open (in January!)after he left. I absolutely would NOT recommend.
