Vincent and his crew did a remarkable job with the installation of a sub panel and components for our new pool. He made many recommendations and was very thorough with the details on what was involved. They installed a 240v Hayward pool heater, 110v Jandy pool pump, wireless Jandy Iaqua-link low voltage system, ran 20amp service to my shed and back patio, and he relocated/wired up our hot tub. The work was clean and very professional. The knowledge he has is unbelievable. He worked with the other contractors to keep on schedule and also worked with the county to make sure all was inspected prior to covering/closing. I couldn’t ask for a better company to do the job. The time it took to do things right the first time is always important. LV electric is one of a kind. If you ever want honesty, integrity and good pricing, you want LV. Thank you for helping us make our dreams come true! I will be needing some other things done. Will definitely use them again!

LV Electrical folks were superb during our ceiling fan installation — up two flights of stairs to the top level, installed circuit box/support and fan — absolute minimum of drywall cutting AND in an area where it is not readily visible — great advice on where best to place the switch — arrived on time, took no-contact precautions throughout the work, finished in under two hours after a thorough cleanup. “Terrific” doesn’t come close to their work — we are most pleased and grateful for the professional work performed this morning. We highly recommend them -- and -- their quote was lower than others we contacted.

LV Electric has done a few projects for us over the years. We are always amazed at their professionalism and work. They went above and beyond by finding a major fire hazard then replacing the whole circuit panel within a couple of days! The county inspector inspected their work and was very impressed. Work was ok. Had appointments cancelled twice. On third try after talking with owner, they made it. Scheduled another visit to do additional work. Cancelled on me an hour before. Made 1/4 scheduled appointments. Flunk.

LV came within a day or so of his initial visit. The crew was good, worked hard and did nearly all that was requested/estimated. They did not do the last item. LV's owner agreed to get a part, come back and do the remaining work. That did not happen. We withheld part of what he billed for as a hold-back, pending completion. The follow up was not acceptable. Accordingly we kept the money and will not use LV again.

"Thank you for providing LV Electric a review. I am sorry to hear that you would not hire our company again for future work and do recognize your misunderstanding that led to your frustration. As for the completion of the work per the agreed estimate, it looks like we have a bit of a miscommunication regarding the scope of work. Line item 3 states: "Replace existing panel for a standard timer. Install switch to control pool lights." This is in fact complete. The pool lights were to be placed on a switch which they are, but this isn't obviously apparent since the lights themselves are malfunctioning. I would be happy to come out to show you that the electrical components for the switch functionality are there and working properly. I did not intend to replace lights or do additional circuit work since this was not stated on the estimate. I do however recognize the frustration and apologize that you were under the impression that we would be doing work not stated on the estimate. That being said, my intention is to always have happy repeat customers. If there is anything we can do at this time to assist you with this issue, I would be happy to do so."

Overall everything went very well, especially considering this project was outside their typical comfort zone including a lot more drywall type work than your typical electrical project. The demolition went very well with no damage to the walls of the room and with very little dust. LV sealed off every door and our intake vent for our HVAC system and overall seemed to treat our house as if it was their own that needed to be kept as clean as possible. LV did a masterful job installing the new drywall ceiling. It's perfectly flat with no sanding or fixes needed whatsoever. The amount and placement of lighting are perfect and much better than what we had previously. There are two minor downsides: One, since they are electricians, they wouldn't paint the ceiling. Perfectly understandable and nothing to complain about, but worth noting in case anybody else needs this type of work and LV is willing to do it. Two, Vincent forgot to include the price of the crown molding in the first estimate so the overall price was a little more expensive than first proposed. Not a big deal since they still saved us money compared to other contractors for this job and was very reasonable overall, but worth noting. In the future I'd recommend that LV should provide a detailed estimate in writing before the work begins. We've used them for another project previously and will do so again in the next month or so, but only 1 of these 3 projects have been put in writing before the work has been performed. Documenting the work in such a manner may help avoid minor communication issues like with the crown molding.

When I contacted LV Electric for an estimate the response was very quick. They were able to come out a few days after I called to schedule. Oleg was very professional and very patient. He took great care in covering any areas below his work space and left everything clean and neat. We need three more fans installed in bedrooms and as soon as I decide on the style, I will be giving LV another call.

There was no overhead light fixture so this was a complete new install. It involved getting into the attic, running the wiring from the switch, actually they replaced the existing switch so that I had one for the fan light and a separate switch for the fan. They did this for both fans and also restored the outlets that had been linked to the original switches in both rooms. I'm quite satisfied with he way the whole thing went.

We are not pleased with LV Electric's performance on this specific job. As the professionals they did not provide guidance to us, the customers, on how to best complete this project. Also this project took approximately 3 days which should have only took 1. Day 1. Although they were scheduled for a 9am appointment, they didn't show up until after 1pm. Their phones were down and thus would not return our calls regarding how late they were. They did not respond to us until I sent an email and then let me know they're phones were down, someone was out sick, and they were short staffed/running late. As professionals in this age, someone should have used a cell phone to contact and update us as the customers. Once they arrived we were ready to move on and get the job finished. However, a 1 day project turned into a multiple day headache. We volunteered to supply the HDMI cables because there are websites that offer cables at very reasonable prices. Pre LV Electric's guidance we purchased 25 ft. cables. The cables ended up being too short because our suggested placement of the cable box required 35 ft. cables. LV Electric would say they ran the cables this way because we told them too. I would disagree with this because as the professionals they should have advised us that our suggested placement of the cable box would require longer cables that we did not have on hand. LV Electric's recommendation was to use HDMI connectors to length the cables. However, they did not have them on hand and had to come back out to finish the job. Day2. LV Electric arrived late again, but finished the project. I was even willing to move past the bad patch job. However, their recommendation to use extenders was a terrible one that as customers and not professionals we initial didn't realize. When we mounted the TV and plugged in the HDMI cables none worked because ALL FOUR cables came unplugged, IN THE WALL, where the extenders were connected. We called LV Electric and complained. Although they were responsive and returned our call, they tried to put some blame on us. But ultimately, they were in the wrong because as the professionals they should have never recommended using extenders, especially when the connection as placed behind the walls. Day 3. We ultimately canceled our appointment for LV Electric to fix this problem. They were late AGAIN and when we called to find out where they were, they informed us that they were on an emergency call and would not be at our home until 1.5 hrs past their scheduled appointment. During that call we were informed this appointment was not to fix the problem but to diagnosis it. Thus requiring a 4th day to fix any issue that they found . Overall LV Electric was a lower cost, but also unpunctual, took too long, and provided unwise recommendations.
