Had used Luis some years before and he did an excellent job on rebuilding some stone stairs. So I did not hesitate to use L & Z Masonry again when it came time to redo my asphalt driveway.

I have used L&Z Masonry Corp. for multiple projects over the past 3 years. In each case, the work done was excellent. The owner prepared professional quotations with line-item breakdowns of costs. The work started on time and was completed on time. The workers conducted themselves in a professional manner and put in a full day's work every day. The owner regularly inspected the work that was done and had his crew make adjustments to ensure high quality results. The owner also kept me, the customer, informed as projects progressed and was very responsive to my questions &/or changes that I wanted to make. L&Z Masonry exceeded my expectations. I wholeheartedly recommend their services.

I called Luis and 2 other contactor's for a small but essential sheetrock job inside our home and demolish and installation of new stairs outside. Well let me tell you Luis came to my house shortly after I called him and he gave me an estimate right away. A few days later I spoke with him and ask him if he could come and perform the sheetrock job next Thursday or Friday because timing was critical. He assured me that he could accommodate me with no worries. Well, Thursday came and he patched up my ceiling wonderfully. He did a very nice job on the sheetrock ceiling ($700). The next day he set up a 3 man crew to demolish my stairs and create a masterpiece new steps. He told us you will be able to walk up these steps with your eyes closed. He adjusted for the drainage and used part of the old stairs as a retaining wall. When the new steps were finished they were stunning and my wife loves them (1,800). We will definitely use Luis and his crew again for our future projects. He is very good.

I am a long standing customer of Land Z Masonry Corp. because all of their work is high quality and professionally done. When I called Luis, the owner, regarding the work, he got back to us immediately. He came out to look at the job and he gave us a very fair estimate on this job and another job that we wanted to also have done in our basement. The installation of the new concrete floor took a few days. Luis' workers were always punctual, respectful, and they maintained a consistent work schedule each day. At the end of each day, they would always leave our property in a neat and presentable manner. Each day Luis would visit the job site to check out and inspect the work. He also always made himself available to answer any of our questions or concerns. It is important to know that at the outset of the job, Luis took the time to explain to us how he and his team were going to approach the work. Luis is a highly qualified professional and skilled craftsmen. He is respectful, honest, trustworthy, and very sensitive to the needs of his customers. Luis and his team did an exceptionally fantastic job laying this new concrete floor in our basement. L and Z Masonry does excellent work and their prices are fair and competitive. We strongly recommend them, and will most definitely use them for future projects in our home.

A beautiful job for a reasonable and fair price. For every part of the job, the crew came early in the morning and on time. The boss, Luis, always reported to the job site each day and inspected the work. Every part of these jobs was completed the way we had discussed, and, in fact, extra work was often done without any extra charge. For example, when the men dug out the soil around the cellar stair walls, Luis felt they had to go all the way down to the bottom--about six feet, instead of the 3 or 4 feet he had estimated, due to the poor condition of the walls--no extra charge. He did the same when he didn't like how the blacktop looked doing just the driveway in front of the garage and proceeded to redo the driveway perpendicular to it next to my fence--again, no extra charge. The same care for doing the job the right way was seen with the garage floor--instead of just repairing a length long crack on one side, Luis felt the entire section to the wall had to be removed and redone--again no extra charge.When I felt a detail wasn't carried out the right way, Luis listened and took care of it without any problem. The quality of their work is outstanding: for example, the seam of the garage cement floor met the new blacktop at the garage door perfectly. That's why I was happy to hire him again for the second job and why I recommended him to my next door neighbor. We have used L and Z Masonry Corp. for a number of our masonry projects. Each time, we have always been extremely satisfied with their excellent work. Recently we had a tremendous amount of rain. Our gutter downspouts previously emptied out onto the concrete surface. With the heavy rains, this presented a problem of flooding and possible water seepage into the basement. Luis, the owner of the company, corrected the situation by digging underground trenches and installing pipes that directed the water away from our house and the surface. He did an excellent job and approached the task very creatively which involved cutting through a concrete slab and tunneling under a slate walkway in order to dig the trenches for the pipes that help to drain the gutters. In addition, we had Luis and his team repair a concrete walkway that was problematic. We are more than satisfied with the work that was done. The new set up for the drainage of our gutters is a tremendous improvement. L and Z is an excellent Masonry Company. Luis carefully laid out his repair plan to us. His team works methodically, consistently, and efficiently to get the job done in a timely manner in a way that minimizes any disruption to you the customer. Luis is very knowledgeable, friendly, trustworthy, polite, helpful, and always willing to please his customers. His team of workers are respectful, diligent, focused, and highly skilled. L and Z Masonry has fair prices that are also competitive. We will most definitely use them for future projects, and we highly recommend this company.

Luis and his highly skilled crew did an amazing, and extremely professional job. The walkway looks great, and now the steps are much safer. In addition the new concrete slab helps with drainage and is a major improvement. We were more than satisfied with the results of their work. When it comes to masonry repairs, L & Z Masonry is the BEST. We have used their services in the past and we will continue to do so. Luis is very clear about the details of the work that he will be doing for you. He does a great job explaining his work plan to you. Luis provided a quotation, excavated the ground around the wall, and replaced a portion of the concrete-block wall with a poured concrete wall. He was at all times diligent in his work, prompt in providing updates, and patient in addressing my questions.

It went well.  His team came early each day and did a good job cleaning up.  Team worked through many of the cold winter days unless it was raining or snowing.  Very pleased with end result and Luis did an excellent job cleaning up after the project was finished. <br /> I had to have a set of stone stairs that rise 2-stories to my front door <br /> rebuilt.  I had a structural engineer design the plans and submit them <br /> to the town.  Got three separate quotes for the construction.  Choose <br /> Luis as he was the most flexible in working on price with me.  He <br /> agreed to reuse the existing stone so that so that it would match the <br /> rest of the house.  His guys came on time and he was excellent in <br /> cleaning up and making sure the project looked excellent at completion.  <br /> He even came back 10 days after completion to power wash the stairs to <br /> remove residual cement dust.  There were a few things that I wanted to <br /> change once we got started (things the engineer failed to include in the <br /> plans),  He was able to do these and gave me a very fair price to <br /> expand the scope. <br /> Project involved:  Demolition of the existing <br /> stairs, Digging and pouring a foundation, preparing concrete forms, <br /> pouring concrete walls and treads, splitting existing granit into facing <br /> material, facing the stairs, installing blue-stone treads, Underneath <br /> the stairs was a large storage room which was also coated in stucco. <br />

Excellent. This was a nasty/difficult job due to limited space but the guys from L&Z worked at it until it was done. They did an excellent job of the finishing cement work and even went beyond attending to all the small details. When I asked for some additional work there was no problem performing the extra items at a very fair price. The men who worked on this job were polite and very consciencious of the fact they they were in our home. They did a great clean up job. Thanks Oscar and Ignacio for a great job and thanks to Luis Z we have a really nice walkway in the basement. I would highly recommend L&Z and would most certainly use them again. <p>I called Luis of  L & Z Masonry Corp.  As usual, Luis got back to me immediately, and then came out to check out the problems that needed to be addressed in my basement.  The portion of my basement that needed to be repaired is approximately  a  500 square foot section with a ceiling height of approximately  17ft  to  20 feet.  My house is over 110 years old,  and  the  walls were in terrible shape.  Luis  came in  with his extremely  competent, respectful,  and very professional team of workers.  For 2 days, they worked on the walls in the basement removing all cracks and loose cement,  and pointing the bricks where it was needed.   They finished the job by installing,  and smoothly applying cement stucco to the foundation of the basement.  The end product was outstanding.
