This was a test of patience. The original contract was signed in Aug. 2013. David Forosh made an appointment to come by and explain my choices in design and examine property.He was on time and very knowledgable. I had LOTS of debris in the backyard that needed to be removed,i.e. old hot tub, large broken umbrella, furnature etc. He contacted someone who was there within a few hours and removed EVERYTHING for me at an extremely fair price. I was very happy! <br />  Being in a HOA made this a more complicated process. Required plans, permits and board approval. Building and Safety added to the delay in getting started. Mulitple trips each requiring different info ( letter from HOA board, then letter from neighbors) before the permit was issued. And missed appts. to have measurements and paperwork collected added to the delay. Finally, Apr. 2014, I had everything I needed to present to the HOA board for approval to start on the project. At the May meeting the HOA President signed off on the approval.  I could see the light at the end of the tunnel! A couple more rechecks for measurements and my personal choices ( color of material, fan to be installed and a light fixture) and it was a go. On July 10th the materials were delivered and on Fri. July 11 the header attachment to the wall was installed and the inspector was called. On Monday the 14th the patio cover was installed. Joe said they would have to return to finish fan installation and post covers. I assumed that would be Tuesday but no day was given. Finally on Thursday Joe returned and finished. It is gorgeous!!! Better than I could have imagined. A beautiful white, solid, insulated cover with a fan. My backyard has been transformed. I never used to like going out there, but now it is so relaxing. And I'm so glad I did a solid cover. It has blocked the sun from beating into my kitchen and cooled the house, just in time for the summer heat. David and Joe both acknowledged the time I had waited to get this done. It was a combination of circumstances that were unforseeable. It was frustrating at times and I understood for the most part. I'm just really glad it exceeded my expectations and it is done. <br />

Fantastic product at a very fair price.  Excellent process with a design consultation. Very helpful. We designed a custom fitting, much larger cover that tied directly into our existing facia boards, including an electrical hook-up for lighting. It was very professionally installed in about 3/4 of a day. Final product is beautiful.  Never any push to up sell at all. Honored coupon pricing (prorated) for larger size.  Awesome experience and final product! <br />

<p>The pavers with base and leveling will begin next week; the patio cover within a week or so afterwards, what with permits and the HOA paperwork approval.</p> <p>I'm looking forward to giving MA Construction a stellar review upon completion of this two-stage project!</p> <p>If everything goes as well as my initial contact with MAC and my meeting/estimate with David, I couldn't ask  for more.</p> <p><br /></p> <p>Thanks, guys!   and stay tuned.....</p> <br />

The workmanship was fine; but in the process of them remodeling, they cracked the front driveway when they had all the gravels delivered on top of my driveway and it hasn't been fixed.  They failed in their dealing and the management was difficult.  I felt they kind of lied to me.  They did a good job with the work, but they had a bad communication and they cracked my driveway, which will cost me money to fix.  They have not addressed it.

It was a pleasure working with David and his people for both design and installation.  <br /> No construction project is completely trouble free and a few minor issues came up.  David was always responsive and easy to work with in addressing problems.   <br />

My experience with them was not as good.  I never got a written estimate or contract or any guarantee.  Overall, the work was good.  There were a few minor areas that they could have fixed.  I have got a downspout that I have to step over. It's only been a year since they put rain gutters on the house & they are already loose. If we get an El Nino they will definitely fall off.

<p>I would never use them again or recommend them.  When they called to set up an appointment, I asked them if they were going to come out and measure.  (This was a Christmas gift for our daughter).  They said no, they just bring the gutters and downspouts with them. They called my daughter to set things up and inquired what color she wanted.  I had measured the whole front of the house and it was a little less than 50 feet.  They set up the appointment for January 9th.  They set it up for 9-11 AM.  Jay called me at my house at 8:30 AM and said they were there but no one was home. I told them my daughter was bringing her son to school and that the appointment was for 9-11.  Jay said he would start the gutters and hung up.  I immediately called my daughter - she had just arrived.  I live 10 miles away, so I went right over.  They NEVER asked her what she wanted, where she wanted the gutters .... etc.  They put the gutters over her front door.  She asked how much more it would be to do beside the front door (on the garage).  Jay said that it would be no charge and he would take care of it.  She told him she would pay for it and didn't want me to know because it was a Christmas gift and she wanted to pay for the extra gutter. </p> <p><br /></p> <p>Well, Jay said he was done. We went out and all he did was over the front door (the whole front of her house is less than 50 feet) and the right side over the garage.  She asked him why he didn't do the front of the house and he said she didn't tell him to???  Well it got worse from there.  Jay said it would cost another $250 to do the rest of the front of the house.  He said the "50 feet of gutters included the footage for the downspouts".   Big miscommunication!  My daughter called and spoke to Audrey who organized the whole job.  My poor daughter was on the phone back and forth with Audrey and explained to her the situation.  Audrey agreed that the wording was not correct and that she insinuated that the "50 feet" meant the gutter measurement.  She had Dave call my daughter and he kept saying that the two areas Jay did was in fact 50 feet when you measure the downspouts.  No one ever said anything about the measurement of downspouts.  He kept referring to the side of the garage and my daughter told him that she would pay extra for that.  Well, the phone calls went back and forth ... finally came to an agreement of paying $70 and they would come out and finish the rest of the front of the house with one more downspout.  They told my daughter they would be out on January 15th.  She took the day off from work in anticipation of their arrival.  She called that morning and they said they told her Wednesday or Thursday.  So she had to take Thursday off.  They showed up at 8, which was fine because they said between 7-9.  I was walking across the street to her house, Jay was carrying the long gutter, he hit her car with it and kept walking, then he saw me behind him.  There is a brown mark on my daughter's Ford Explorer.   When they were done, they told my daughter she owed $80.  She said that Dave said $70 and he said he was told $80.  Well, he only got $70 and she paid by check so they can't add another $10.  They were nice enough to leave their coffee cup and wrappers on the street in front of her house when they left.  Really professional!</p> <p><br /></p> <p>Truthfully, this is the first time we have used one of your contractors and I am apprehensive to use any more.  What makes this worse is that this was a Christmas gift and my daughter had to endure hours of phone calls to receive what we were promised! They also blamed the incorrect write-up for the deal on you people (Angie's List).  They stated that you published the wrong information on the deal.</p> <p><br /></p> <p>I'd appreciate your feedback on this situation.</p> <br />

Went well. The only problem was they brought the wrong color of gutter, but we decided the color they brought by mistake was better than what we had ordered. <br />

They were supposed to come between 9 and 11 AM.  They did not come during this window of time.  They did not call to say they would be late.  They claim that they had car trouble.  They should have called.  They came at 12:30 AM.  As I had to be somewhere, it was very inconvenient.  Then, since the work was done, I have been receiving many calls from other service providers.  I think it is likely that they sold my number to other businesses.  It is too much of a coincidence that the calls started shortly after they provided service.

They arrived promptly on schedule and had a three person crew.  They were very professional and they did good work.  I felt like this was a very good deal for me and now I have a construction company that I will definitely consider in the future for other jobs. <br />

After visually assessing our needs it turned out we needed much more linear footage than we'd originally purchased.  Once we expressed this additional need to David they made certain the additional footage was installed that same day!  Would highly recommend this company and working with David. <br />

50 ft of Rain gutter to second story.  Good customer service. They were efficient and performed job well.

Problematice - front office. First called three days earlier to reschedule, lucky they called the day before and said they did have a check to check voicemail but I was able to reschedule. Then came the day before the installation, most companies call you to confirm the time and day. they did not. So I called them the day of the installation and left a message to please call before 11AM. So I could meet them at my house at the agreed time. No call again. Called again at 10:50 AM. I talked with the Admin and she stated she called me but since she has only my cell phone number - i did not see that I had recieved a call from the company the day before - so I beleive she lied. <br /> The only good thing was that when I called that afternoon and told her I was running late. She was able to contact the installer and them to wait for me at the house. <br /> The installation of the gutters was done well and they cleaned up all old gutter material. The whole job took about an hour. <br />

Ma Construction <br /> They first came out to do my daughters gutters that was an easy one day job. <br /> I asked if they can look at her  kitchen floor, they scheduled appointment for a week later.We  really liked  the contractor who came  out for the estimate  he was very patient with us. We couldn't decided on whether we should just do the  floors or  remodel the entire kitchen . He came back and forth to  the house several times before we made a decision to move forward. They stayed with in our  budget and  we got an island!! We  are  looking forward to holiday cooking and showing off the new kitchen to our friends and family ! <br /> Thank You MA Construction <br />

I bought this great deal through Angie's List! After making a purchase, someone from MA Construction called to set up an appointment to go over the plans for my backyard patio. David came out and was very polite and my mom absolutely loved him. She was really excited to have the work done so that we could have dinner parties outside. David was very professional, he took all the measurements and showed us some beautiful pictures from his previous work. We chose to have the solid white roof installed, so that we could have 2 new ceiling fans put in. We are so happy with the craftsmanship of our new patio. David's crew showed up on time and were very courteous. They cleaned up daily after themselves and did not step on my mom's garden of roses. Overall, we are so impressed by this business' professionalism and work that was completed by MA Construction. We love our new patio! Thank you MA Construction <br />
