"During the estimating process, the customer enlarged the size of the carport which required us to pull a building permit because it exceeded the minimum square footage. This was an easy fix and an easy permit to obtain but the customer did not allow us to obtain a permit. Furthermore, the misalignment that is mentioned is due to her garage being out of square to her driveway. We built a square carport on the driveway in the exact location she requested. In order for us to match her existing garage, we would have had to redesign the carport and make it larger. We offered to do this but the customer did not want to pay the extra money that it would cost to build a larger carport, reported us to the BBB (which ruled in favor of MAG Construction), and still owes MAG Construction for the work performed."
