I would recommend Mahwah Movers. This was the second time using them when I moved. When I moving into a co-op, it was all last minute and Mike made room for me so we could move by the end of the month. June is a very busy for moving. I was very appreciative and was so relieved that he was able to help me. I later called him up in July as I found two pieces of furniture that I had purchased. I called Mike last minute and told him the pieces of furniture had to be picked up in a few days as the sellers were moving. I was a nervous wreck, but again Mike came through for me. His workers are professional and very pleased with everything they did. I would recommend them to my friends and family!

We met with Mike a few weeks before our planned move. He went through the entire house making notes, and later that evening we got a detailed, competitive, written estimate, that included a “cost will not exceed” figure. (Our last move, more than 27 years ago, was more than $1,000 OVER the estimate, and we moved less than 15 blocks away.) The moving men and truck arrived on time — a tiny bit early, in fact, which was fine with us. Each of the men was friendly, meticulous, courteous, knowledgeable, accommodating, honest and very hardworking, and all the guys had terrific attitudes. They took excellent care of all our belongings and got everything to our new home in perfect condition. They took their time to make sure everything was in good order before moving to the next room. They removed headboards, disconnected our washing machine and clothes dryer, dismantled bed frames, etc. and set everything up again in our new digs. Instead of leaving items that weren’t marked properly just anywhere in our new home, they asked questions, and each of them just couldn’t have been nicer. Mike also provided us with tons of boxes, wardrobes and bubble wrap and charged us practically nothing for any of it. As moves go, and NONE of them is easy, this was a PERFECT and stress-free move. Mike is easy to get along with, is very responsive, helpful and accommodating, and his crew is simply awesome ... EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM! We couldn’t be happier. Without a second of hesitation, we highly recommend Mahwah Movers!

As per prior review, the move went well. But am adding a supplemental review because the Company never provided the promised 3% rebate and never responded to request for same. Very disappointing. Feel like they enticed us with a promised rebate and never delivered. Calls professionalism and responsiveness into question. So reducing original review from overall "A" to "B" and rating "F" on professionalism and responsiveness.

I hired Mahwah Movers after glowing recommendations from both Angies list and my local realtor. As recommended, Mike, Eric, and in the entire team out performed their recommendations. They assisted my wife and I wife packing, prep, and finally the move. The day for the of the move it snowed, the team worked thru and were very conscience to take care of the floors of my home. I would highly recommend their service!

second time used Mahwah Movers in 6 months and both times they where excellent. I highly recommend them.

The movers were amazing. On time, professional, barely took a break and it was well over 100degrees with stairs involved! For some reason the guy who came to my place to give me an estimate, included only 10 boxes. I probably had 50. The estimate did not have a number of boxes stated. I think this was done to give me a good price so I would sign with them, but they ended up costing me twice as much and more then others quoted me. I was annoyed and felt conned, not to mention this blew up my budget for the move! 1 lampshade got damaged (unusual and can’t be replaced. Another (Japanese paper shade) which is irreplaceable disappeared. Could have been worse, I guess but frustrating and disappointing. Everything thing else was fine.

I found Mahwah Movers on Angie’s List and called them along with several other movers. I was impressed at the speed with which my call was returned. Mike was great, his communication is awesome and he was able to get us scheduled and set very quickly. Tommy and the guys were prompt, courteous and efficient. They worked quickly, were extremely organized and took great care of our possessions. Everything was carefully wrapped and cushioned before being placed on the truck. This is part one of our move. We look forward to working with Mike again as we complete the move to our final destination. Would absolutely recommend.

The move went very well. The only problem was that we had a bit more than would fit on the truck so we loaded a bit more in our vehicles than we were expecting. The moving team handled our possessions carefully and did not do any noticeable damage to either house. The workers were very polite and cooperative. The new house is light carpeting so they laid moving blankets down to keep the carpet clean. The one thing that I will recommend is that the moving team and the estimators should meet to discuss the pending job so the team leaders know exactly what to expect and what needs to be done. Even though the estimate has the basic details it does not have the visual of what the estimator based his calculations.

our experience with Mahwah movers was exceptional! From our first meeting with Mike to the day of move everything went smoothly and kept in budget . Mike was very thorough when he came to view our home with the estimate and very upfront about costs, insurance, etc. We used their team to pack some of our home the day before and they were super courteous , on time, professional , asked lots of questions to ensure things were packed correctly and labeled to easily move and unpack in our new home. The day of move also was easy.....they too great care to protect our items, not bang up our walls and put things in the right place . Overall we were beyond pleased with their services and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a moving company in our area.

Glad some of you had luck. I had my furniture picked up by mahwah movers in Feb to be moved up to MA. Its now June and I STILL DONT HAVE MY STUFF! There have been multiple re-schedules, last min cancelations and it's STILL NOT HERE! I canceled plans with my son because they swore to me they would be here that sat. What happens, last min cancelation, AGAIN! So now I have my kid whose upset and CRYING because I had to cancel plans and I still dont have my stuff!!! I put calls into them, emails, and I have still not heard back about where my stuff is or what is going on. I even tried canceling it and having them return my stuff back and I still havent heard from them!!!!! Its been 4 MONTHS!

Moving day was finally here! Mahwah movers came right on time at 10am. There were 3 workers, they loaded the truck carefully with my furniture and boxes in 1 1/4 hours drove to my new apartment and unloaded all in 3 hours time. The 3 movers were professional and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a moving company.

Everything went fantastically. The movers were prompt, courteous, very professional, and performed the job faster than expected. The price was very fair. I would definitely use Mahwah Movers for my next move.

The company displayed professionalism from quote through the move. Mike came to the house personally to determine the scope of work (other companies weren't willing to do that and asked us to fill out a form online). As a result, while other companies quoted inaccurately, Mike gave us a competitive quote (which he ultimately agreed to fix) since he understood we weren't moving alot of heavy furniture and fragile items, and he saw how close the move was (right around the corner). His crew then came and packed - they were quick, courteous and professional. On the day of the move (a Sunday) the crew showed up on time (but not too early for a Sunday!), and once again were quick, courteous and professional. Once all the stuff was moved over, they were patient about reassembling furniture that required this. They also asked for directions about where things belonged, instead of dumping stuff wherever (this made unpacking much easier). We really had no issues, and we would use them again and recommend them to friends and family.

The move went very smoothly thanks to the efficient crew that Mike sent. They were professional, courteous, careful and incredibly quick in their work. The price was fair and they made a stressful process very pleasant and easy. I would definitely utilize their services again and I strongly recommend them! Thank you Mike and Mahwah Movers!

Move was fine, but he lied about the 3% rebate if we posted a good review on Angie’s list as well as yelp - reviews were done months ago, but haven’t received my rebate yet for either review. He flat out lied and pulled a bait and switch...no worries I’m updated both reviews and just saying the facts of what happened.

The entire process from estimate to completion was a very smooth process. The guys were all friendly and professional. I felt like my friends were moving me. They helped me with things that were not their responsibility just because they were nice. They even had me laughing during a very stressful time. Everything was delivered without any incident. I would hire them again in a heartbeat.

Four gentlemen’s arrived promptly at time I was given. They worked quickly, and cared for my belongings. They were pleasant and did whatever was asked of them ( even if I had not mentioned it prior). Not only did they pack carefully , they needed to make an additional stop to a storage unit. Some how they arranged a bedroom and a living room and many boxes a tv work bench and much more in a 10 x10 storage room. Simply amazing then proceeded to try new home and wrapped it up in under 6 hours. Don’t hesitate, don’t shop, just book them. I can’t wait to recommend them.

Great experience from beginning to end. Mike came out to walk through our house and provided us a quote on the spot. Gave us tips for prepping for the move which I found very helpful. The team of movers arrived on time, were professional, courteous, and took good care of our stuff in the move. They worked quickly and efficiently and were a huge help in getting all of our furniture in the proper places in the new spot. Anything they had to disassemble, they reassembled in the new house. It was great working with them and would definitely hire them for future moves. Great job!

I was a little nervous about everything fitting in my POD. The crew was great in sizing up the items to not leave a space anywhere. They were diligent and careful with my boxes and furniture
