About us
Malbec Builders specializes in high-end remodeling/cometic & new construction projects. We also offer architectural and engineering services for our clients who may need this aspect in their Scope of Work. We are a California Licensed, Bonded, Insured Corporation. We provide Workman's Comp on all employees. We handle all aspects of the construction process from start to finish. And yes, we can do new builds if you like. Malbec Builders has two divisions, Malbec Builders and Malbec Realty. Generally when someone purchases a home, they want to do some type of remodeling. So we work with new homeowners on their projects to make their home just the way they want it. We can even remodel or install new pools & spas if you like. Malbec Builders is a boutique builder who is more about quality and craftsmanship than volume of revenue. We only do a few projects at a time so we never lose our focus on your project. We offer many references if requested.

Major Renovation - Multiple Rooms
We had a great experience working with Wade Petrowich and Malbec Builders on the remodel of our midcentury modern Jack Meiselman house in Palm Springs. Wade handled the major scope of work, including installing new terrazzo tile floors, updating two bathrooms, and completely redoing our kitchen with beautiful custom cabinetry. He also tackled important infrastructure upgrades, replacing all of the old galvanized steel plumbing and upgrading the electrical panel.
Throughout the project, Wade was an outstanding communicator. Even though we live out of state, he stayed in touch several times a day and was completely comfortable managing the project remotely. When unexpected challenges came up—as they always do in a remodel—he consistently offered creative, practical, and realistic solutions.
Wade is professional, reliable, and clearly takes pride in his work. We are thrilled with the results and highly recommend Wade and Malbec Builders. We would absolutely work with him again!

Major Renovation - Multiple Rooms
Wade and Malbec Builders served as the general contractor for our renovation of a classic 1960’s Palm Springs mid century modern home. Not an easy job since we live near Chicago. Our renovation included replacing the plumbing, replacing the floors, full update and renovation of the kitchen and two bathroooms. He was instrumental in introducing us to contractors who updated our pool and added solar power. At every turn he provided realistic solutions that fit our home and budget. When renovating a home, naturally there are some surprises. Wade handled these was a total pro, providing full and honest service to address each situation. His communication skills are terrific. It's a great company to work with. I worked with many contractors in my life, never had as good experience as working with Malbec Builders. Always in touch, never charge "unexpected" fees, always follow the schedule. When I don't like something (which happened just a couple of times) they redone immediately with no extra charge. Above and Beyond! After a long search and having no luck finding a company to handle the work needed in and around our new home, we found Wade and his expert team. Every job from kitchen, lighting, electrical, plumbing, and so much more was carefully handled and executed to perfection. From the most challenging down to the simplest of tasks this is a business that does what they say they’re going to do and won’t stop until you are 100% satisfied. Malbec Builder team did a complete re-model of my casita for a rental and it turned out wonderfully. They did paint, installed a mini-split AC unit. Added a sink and counter as well as re-did the flooring in the unit. It turned out wonderfully and I would definitely hire them again for another project. Wade and Darryl were very attentive and made sure I was happy at each step of the process.
