once was able to schedule service, was fine

It didn't go at all. VERY unhappy. Looking to my bank to see if I can get a refund.

1. Setup an appointment for May b/c March and April are wet months in Seattle. 2. Marek called to schedule pressure washing, and was a no show for the first appointment 3. Rescheduled for ~April 5th at 12:00, no call until 5:00 PM, and arrival at 6:30 PM. Marek wanted to start with about 45 minutes until sundown 4. Prior to pressure washing Marek took a look at the job and said it did not fit the specs of the angeies list deal. would be a change order for the difference. I said fine, please send me the quote. 5. Marek reviewed the state of the deck banisters and eves and was eager to quote that work as well for brightening and finishing. I agreed to look at the quote, and asked him to send it with the change request 6. He pressure washed for about an hour and 15 minutes at which time it was fully dark. 7. Requested to have a beer with me sometime to tell me how bad my siding and house were (just purchased home in November) 8. Next day noticed deep swirl marks in the fence 9. No call from Marek for a week or so 10. Get a quote for the paint CR (in addition to the original CR). 11. Requested a quote for the brightening and staining as well, so I had the full costs quoted for the job like we requested 12. His assistant said she would get me a quote 13. Few days go on no quote 14. Get an update from the assistant that Marek needs to come out and measure and take pictures to quote the job. 15. He comes out and makes a mess on the carpet, etc b/c he has to relieve himself in our bathroom 16. A few days later Marek's assistant sends an all up quote of 10K for the work 17. Customer's trust is broken. I.e, damage property, late to meetings, not sticking to agreement, changing agreement, overshooting the costs, and a general bait and switch from Marek via AngiesList = Not happy customer

Marek was able to come up with a very good solution and executed the repair in a timely manner. I am very pleased with his work.

Remodeling is stressful as is so the less headache and issues the better. Marek Industry Inc. is one of the best companies I have dealt with. Not only did he meet all of my expectations, he anticipated my needs and helped me make decisions Marek offered wonderful suggestions when needed. Never once was I charged any surprises or hidden costs. Marek is easy to work with and a hard worker you can definently tell that he prides himself and his company on his excellence and it definently shows in his work. My bathroom turned out just like i visioned and my walls are beautiful. I will absolutely call Marek for any future work and will be refuring to my friends and family. I couldnt have had a smoother or better experience. Thank you Marek for making this remodel such a fantastic experience for me.

Quality of work was good.

Marek performed a site survey on day 1 and prepped for the backsplash on the same day. However, he wasn't available to start the actual tile installation for another week. Once he got going, he worked over the next 3 days to partially install the tile. It took 2 more days the following week to complete the grout. So although it took awhile, the backsplash turned out fantastic. I can really appreciate the hard work and attention to detail it took to this job. We have the framing and sheet rock scheduled for 2/20.

The painting he did was high quality. His communication before the job was abysmal. His assistant booked the date and told me that there would be a walk through prior to that day to make sure we were all on the same page. Didn't happen. I'm not even sure the assistant still works for him because two phone calls and two emails (trying to schedule the walk through or discuss over the phone) never got a return call/email. He called me the morning of the job to confirm that the job was happening. Then called later from a paint supply store wonderring if he needed to buy primer and letting me know he'd be late. Part of our wish for discussing the job was that the assistant didn't know if hed5be alone or bring another painter with him. Two people would shorten the job by half. We were hoping this would be the case because we had an event that night and we were not going to leave him in the house after we left. Unfortunately we didn't get our full 8 hours because he was alone, arrived late and took a full hour lunch. I don't mind the break, but that wasn't part of the paid job. Plus, HE decided ro paint something we hadn't asked him to paint. No, I don't want to schedule the remaining time with him. We also had a problem with his dog. The dog stayed in his van for most of the job (it was a cool day, I didn't think the dog was in danger). Unfortunately the dog got out a few times and ran around uncontrolled. We have small kids in the neighborhood (and we have an extended family member who is still recovering from a very bad dog bite). Finally, there were aspects of the job I had to clean up after him.

Marek tried to get me to pay for his commute time; I had to talk him into coming for the 2-hr consult prior to work starting; he broke a favorite statuary; made multiple commitments to do the work and never showed up. Promised the work would be done before Thanksgiving and my toilet still sits on my patio. He van blew up and he didn't have a truck; he office staff quit and on and on. He has worked on the project two times: 10/28/16 and 11/15/16. On Oct. he had another guy working with him. He spent minimal time shopping for supplies. The medicine cabinet was installed and is not level so needs to be leveled.

All of the work occured during my vacation so I was able to help out. 1. No one picks up the phone. Both Angie's list and I have tried calling Marek and his number is not in service anymore. The other number does not have a answering maching. 2 Marek contracted a foreman who was habitually late to the days he was supposed to work. One day he was 6 hours late. The quality of the work that the foreman did was good/OK. 3. Foreman walked off of the job due to non-payment 8 days ago. Picked up his tools and said he would not be working anymore for Marek. I have tried calling Marek multiple times to discuss and I can't get a hold of him nor can I leave him a message. This has occured repeatedly. I do have about 20-25 hours left on my contract. 4. Marek did leave his trailer at the residence for trash. He emptied it and dropped it off again. He or someone else picked it up one morning when I was home and left without talking to me. This was after when the foreman walked off the job. Pros: Marek is nice guy and pretty intense. Was responsive early and eager to help out. We sketched out a plan to ensure that there were only a few tasks that needed to be done with installing the hardwood being the largest of the tasks. He did leave his trailer for trash/carpet/pad. Cons: Hired a decent foreman, but he was unacceptably late every day he did work. He was at minimum 2 hours late the three days he did work. Poor communication, not returning phone calls, etc. After the foreman walked off the job and I could not contact Marek, I called Angie's List to complain. I have had NO living room, office, dining room or bedroom for the last three weeks because all of my furniture is located in these spaces. I did hire a profession floor installation company to do the work that was not completed by Marek. At the end of the day, if Marek had quality workers and improved his communication we would not be in this position.

I highly recommend Marek! Marek is honest, really nice, easy to work with, and on time. He did an amazing job painting my home's interior. His work is highly professional - great attention to detail and high quality. Marek takes his work very seriously and is very dedicated to it - making sure his customers are happy. He took careful time in preparing my living space for painting to ensure that everything was covered and then worked quickly to get the job done. He is very agreeable and is willing to work with his customers to meet their needs. My walls had a variety of colors on them and I was concerned that the darker colors would come through. Marek assured me that if needed, he would do additional coats of paint to make sure the job was done right. Everything was painted so evenly and so nicely, I now have a completely different home and am beyond satisfied! If you're looking for someone who is dependable, friendly, and does high quality work, Marek is the person to hire.

Marek took his time and did a very thorough job. He is very detail oriented and takes pride in doing a good job.

We had a 9:30 a.m. appointment; no-show by 10:15, at which time I called. Marek explained that he had a staffing issue and was unaware of the appointment, but he did agree to come the same day at 11:30 and arrived at that time. I believe the offer was misrepresented on Angie's List -- as there were no 3-D renderings or even notes (other than the ones I took) or drawings of any kind. In fairness to Marek, he told me on the phone (the morning of the appointment) that he did not know what the 3-D renderings were all about. He gave us a very general idea of his vision for our kitchen and he had some good ideas; however, they involved a more extensive remodel that our intent.

Marek did excellent job , my house looks better than new , Just observing his work , I can tell he learn his trade in professional apprenticeship and not somewhere on job side , very happy with his detail oriented work , will hire him in future again .
