Maria Santos Cleaning

Maria has been helping me with my housekeeping for about five years now. She is great! She always does an excellent job and is extremely professional and punctual. She has literally never missed a cleaning--if she can't make it, she arranges a sub. She is also fast as she brings at least one other person to assist. I really appreciate her help and am happy to have found such a kind, effective, and responsible person to help me keep up with the house.

I am happy that I found Maria's Cleaning about a year ago on Angie's List. Maria came to my home to assess out needs and started cleaning my large 2-bedroom, bathroom townhome bi-weekly. I have had experienced larger "well known" cleaning companies that didn't do the excellent job that Maria and her helper does. I gave Maria's the BEST overall rating that I can give as she is a reasonably priced professional, who is on-time, pays attention to detail and is both thoughtful and kind.

Over a year ago I found Maria's Cleaning here on Angie's List. After reading the reviews I made an appointment with her to come to my home to review our needs. This not my first experience and I have had larger more well known cleaners who did not do the job as well as Maria's. I am very particular about the cleanliness of my home so I am happy to have founded Maria.

I recently switched from a cleaning service to Maria to have my home cleaned and I am glad I made the move. I definitely get more value for my money. Maria and her partner clean my home every two weeks and the cleanings have always been thorough. She always sends a text the day before to let me know what time she plans to arrive and gives me notice if the time changes. Extremely friendly, helpful when I have questions on products and easy to work with.

This cleaning job went very, very poorly. I needed someone to clean my house after some renovations had been completed (carpentry, tiling, painting, floor refinishing). There was a lot of dust, etc., and no general cleaning had been done for many weeks during the construction; no one was living at the house. I made it clear that I needed a detailed cleaning – every surface dusted, etc. Maria came to my home to quote the job and said it was a huge job and would take a whole day – 6-8 hours for 3-4 people. Her quoted price was $500. I thought this was high but she said she had to pay her helpers very well for such a hard job and repeated again that it was a really, really big difficult job. Our home is 2,400 square feet. Maria did arrive on time both to quote and to do the work. On “cleaning day” (one week later) Maria came with only 1 person and cleaned for 4 ½ hours, but still insisted that I pay the same price. She actually even asked for $600, but I refused. More importantly, however, Maria did not clean well or thoroughly and misrepresented the job that they did. She told me some things had been cleaned which I later was able to see had not been cleaned. For example, she made a big deal of telling me that they had cleaned/washed all the windows from the inside, as they were all dusty and/or smeared from the painting and sanding. Upon closer inspection throughout the house, it is clear that most windows had actually NOT been cleaned at all – they looked exactly the same as when the painter left. Maria made a big deal of telling me that she had washed the tiled kitchen backsplash. Again, upon closer inspection, much was missed – for example, a spot from a suction cup holder was still present – I was easily able to wipe it clean with a damp cloth and some cleaner. Also the normal food splatter/grease in the cooktop area. Same with kitchen cabinet faces – spots, spills, etc. Even the refrigerator/freezer cleaning was average-to-poor, as well as baseboards, light switches/switch plates and doors not being cleaned – all things that we had discussed as being included in this cleaning. Even the brand new bathroom vanity, which was empty and just need the packaging debris and dust/smudges from the shipping and plumbing installation process wiped out – was not thoroughly cleaned. My only positive feedback is that Maria’s worker did a very thorough job vacuuming, removing sofa cushions and getting under and around all furniture. Hiring this provider was not worth the money and she is not honest or fair. I feel that I was grossly taken advantage of due to my tight schedule. I tried to “renegotiate” the price with her at the end of the job, pointing out that it took only half the number of man hours as originally quoted but Maria would not budge.

Very well, Maria had a great staff, did a thorough job cleaning out house for a fair price.

Maria and her cleaning partner are such hard workers and do such an incredible job cleaning my house! They are always on time, prepared and extremely thorough with their cleaning. My house has never looked or felt cleaner. I would highly recommend them!

The house Is always clean when I come home and Maria and her team are some of the friendliest people around. She continues to do excellent work, will accommodate changes in schedules or extra cleans to the best of her ability and she will share her insight on the best products to use when she things the cleaning supplies we have provided are not up to par. She brings a lot of her own supplies but will use what you supply if asked. There have been the occasional hiccup with scheduling or variability in day/time, but when we asked Maria for more stability in schedule she was very prompt in resolving and sends a text/call a day or two prior to coming to confirm.

She was on time, professional and did an amazing job. I would hire again in a heartbeat. If you're looking to have your house cleaned professionally, freeing up your own time, I highly recommend you call Maria Santos Cleaning!! As a nice little value-add, she had called us on the way to ensure the time still worked.

She worked for me up until very late in the fall. I still felt I was very happy with her. I would recommend her to anybody. If I get rehired full time, I would be happy to bring her back on. I was very pleased with her. It was good. She's very professional and she did a very good job. She's quite reasonable.

Maria is super reliable, always calls ahead to remind me she's coming and has always been on time.  Maria and her team have done an excellent job keeping our house clean and tidy.  I would highly recommend her! <br />

Maria was very professional, calls the night before arriving and showed up on time. Maria and her assistant brought nice equipment and cleaned the house thoroughly, adding many nice unexpected touches - cleaning where I don't want to go. Bathrooms and kitchen were immaculate. Maria and assistant showed up on tme and worked for an hour and a half. Don't be afraid to ask her to do something. <br />

I have been using Maria for 3 years.  She always shows up on time and will do extra jobs if you ask.  She cleans window sills and wipes pictures and tvs to remove dust. <br />

Maria has been cleaning my house for close to a year on a biweekly schedule. She is very professional, always calls ahead to confirm when she will arrive and does a very good job. I am very happy to have found her and would not hesitate to recommend her work.  <br />
