Best painters we ever had. They were very professional and proficient, keeping our home picked up and clean. They were very timely, starting at the times they said they would be there.

Excellently, from start to finish. He made a quick quote which was 60% lower than another contractor, correctly estimated how long it would take him, did a good job, and wound up within his estimate. He also fixed some items that he found needing repair or painting for no extra cost. I was impressed with his diligence.

It went very well, he came when he said he would, did all the repairs and painted the entire house in just over a week. You won't find anybody more honest and dependable, and I was very pleased with the price and craftsmanship.

Mark did an outstanding job. The house is beautiful. He is an artist when it comes to painting. Very precise. He worked around the holidays at our request. My wife hurt her back and had to have surgery in the midst of house being painted. Mark was very understanding and worked around that as well even painting our bedroom and bath last due to her being bed ridden for a couple days due to surgery. We highly recommend Mark and will be our painter of choice in the future future.

Mark did an excellent job. The job took several days, as the mud must dry between applications, sanding and painting. Mark was there, when he said he would be, every time. Extremely dependable and takes pride in his work. Would recommend to anyone!

He's very very careful and he's a perfectionist. He's timely, efficient, easy to talk to, he does things quick and the price was reasonable.

Excellent. Mark was extremely professional and friendly. He was the only painter they gave us a detailed written quote so there was no disparity between his and our recollection of the job. He does great work and is very meticulous. He knows all about painting and caulking and made our painting/ceilings/baseboards/crown molding look GREAT! His son and he were a pleasure to have in our house and cleaned up each day as they left. He also knows about second breakfast :-)

The two story stairway to our basement needed ceiling and walls painted and a new handrail installed. We sought quotes from three businesses. Mr. Cole was responsive, gave a good estimate and worked our small job in between his bigger projects. Therefore, he completed the work much quicker than the others quoting the job. Painting was excellent. Handrail was beyond his expertise so he reduced the price. Overall it was a good experience. I have a great room popcorn ceiling that I will probably ask him to scrape and replace with a painted flat ceiling whenever we can endure the expected week long disruption.

Mark is very good at what he does. He spent a good deal of time preparing the walls for painting. After all the preliminary work was completed he puts two coats of paint on the walls. <br />

Our Den ceiling (popcorn) needed a fresh coat of paint.  Mark came in promptly at appointed time & <br /> gave us an estimate.  He mentioned that either  we do another blown popcorn or get rid of the popcorn first & then paint.  He painstakingly removed the popcorn ? big slow job.  But meticulously did it.  Prepped the ceiling and then painted.   It was a <br /> tough job since the popcorn was very old & the whole area had to properly enclosed to contain the dust. <br /> He is a perfectionist & did a very good job! <br /> He always came at appointed time ? only one day he had to change the time due to unusual situation but called ahead of time & let us know.  Very congenial and goes out of his way to take care of small additional items. <br /> We are very pleased and would recommend highly for any interior paint job! <br /> <br />

Mark came by and gave me an estimate on multiple paint jobs at my home. He was punctual, professional, and obviously an expert at what he does. He is booked solid but was able to fit in a guest bathroom for me prior to guests arriving. He did an excellent job. He goes above and beyond and made the room look perfect. His work is impeccable. I have hired him to do all my paint jobs and would highly recommend him. It's rare to find such a talented, trustworthy, reliable, individual and I am so glad I found him on Angie's List. <br />

I have nothing but good things to say about Mark Cole. He is absolutely AMAZING at what he does. If I was able to give him something better than an A+ I would. He took care of my master bathroom (with 10 ft ceilings), dinning room, kitchen, a full bath upstairs, and a half bath downstairs. He got rid of the horrible wallpaper that the previous owners put up. It was everywhere and I have tried taking it down myself but it was so hard and time consuming that I needed help. I read from a previous Angie's list post that he was a perfectionist and it was all true. He was accommodating to my husband's second shift schedule and he was so good with my three large dogs. If you need someone who will do the job right, affordable, and do great job; I definitely recommend going with MARK COLE. <br />

Our house was built in 1915.  Mark obviously had a lot of experience with older homes, and has a passion for bringing them back to their original glory.  Mark came and painted the room and "floated" the walls; mudded over all the textured wall paper and cracks that the previous tenants had painted over and smoothed it all perfectly.  Mark and his son came in exactly when he said he would and did all the work in one day.  They cleaned up, and left nothing out of place with no dust- impressive.  Even helped me move a desk downstairs that I had been planning to move forever. <br /> They did a great job, and I will definitely hire them again when we need the staircase, or anything else painted; which we will. <br />

We recently had some work done in our basement that required 2 walls and their wainscoting, to be re-done. Mark and a couple other painters provided quotes for this and some additional work in our house as we figured "while they are here they can do these other rooms too". Right from the start it was clear that Mark was a stickler for detail (in a good way). We showed him the rooms that we wanted painted and in every single room, he pointed out cracks and nail-pops, and was very open about telling us what he would do if he were in our position. My typical response to this would be "great, quote that stuff separate from the main quote that you give me so I can pick and choose what items I want you to do above and beyond the stuff I actually need done." <br /> From putting down a coat of primer on the dark blue wall in my son's bedroom to ensure the lighter color we painted it with had good coverage, to mudding over every single nail-pop, crack and imperfection of the walls, Mark pointed these things out and said that he would add them to the quote. Now here is the kicker --- despite all of these "extras", his price was REALLY reasonable. <br /> One part of the project that stood out for me was his approach to the wainscoting in our basement. As I mentioned, we had 2 walls & the chair-rail and wainscoting that needed to be painted after they were replaced. Mark looked at the wainscoting that was still intact and suggested that he caulk the seams and re-paint all of the existing wainscoting. The existing stuff was not caulked and you could see lines in the wainscoting which looks really bad. Mark did a phenomenal job,  <strong>did it the right way </strong>and made all of the new work blend in perfectly with the existing.  <br /> I will say that the project took longer than expected but this was due in part to 1.) the overall size of the job, 2.) Mark having to schedule around the other contractors we had working on the basement and 3.) some of the work involved oil based paint which limits the amount you can do per day due to the fumes. It took a couple more days than we hoped but i would rather have it take longer and be done the right way than be done "on time" and the contractor do a poor job. <br /> Mark is a contractor that takes the time to do things the way he would do them on his own house. That is huge for us. We have had experiences with contractors that cut corners, avoid going the extra mile on a project and gouge you on price. Mark's prices were fair, he did a great job (hard to find a single line or streak on any of the walls - <em>seriously</em>) and we plan to use him again for upcoming painting jobs. <br />
