Mark Temple Tree Service

Excellent. I have used Mark for many years to trim and remove trees. Always does a great job at a reasonable cost.

It went pretty much as planned with little unexpected damage. Cleanup was quite thorough. An additional tree was damaged from a falling, cut off branch so that it had to be removed as well, but at no additional charge. The service suggested entering from the rear of the property to avoid damage to a fresh concrete driveway and front lawn. This required permission from the neighbor and temporary removal of fence. The fence was reinstalled afterwards by Temple. Work was started with little delay after ordering and permits were facilitated with Mark's assistance (required since we live in a historic district). Mark also helped with getting the utility to drop the electric lines in order to work safely.

Great experience, contacting the owner and getting instructions on where to pick up the firewood was easy and they helped me load the rank of wood into my car.

We contracted for a number of small trees to be cut down. They were not able to come out for 3 weeks because of their schedule and the weather, but when they did come out, the service was professional and promptly done. They worked quickly and took care of clean-up. Even after a misunderstanding on our part, Mr. Temple had his workers there the next day, and they were polite, professional and worked quickly. We were very pleased!! Not knowing what tree services normally cost, I believe the price was fair. We would definitely recommend them to anyone!!!

They arrived in the late afternoon about 3pm. Were done and cleaned up well by 4:30.  

This process was so easy! I emailed Mark Temple and asked for a quote to have a dead tree removed from my front yard. He left the quote in my mailbox, I signed it and mailed it back to his office. About a week later, he came to my house with a crew and removed the tree. He and his crew were friendly, polite, and efficient. He double checked with me before he removed the stump, and then did so when I gave him the go ahead. At the end of the project (roughly 3 hours), I handed him a check, shook his hand and that was it. The price I paid was exactly what he'd quoted me. His crew even cleaned up all of the branches and leaves and left my lawn looking spotless. I'd hire him again!

I had a wind storm take down part of my large Maple tree. It took out the electric lines and cable. I called Temple Tree Service (Mark Temple) within an hour of the tree limb coming down. Mark was here within 10 minutes and gave me a quote with a promise that his crew would be here in the morning (today). The crew was here promptly at 9:00am. They cut down the entire tree with no damage to any of my property and cleaned up the yard around the tree. I couldn't be more pleased. They will be back to grind up the stump after I have Miss Dig come out and mark the property for underground utility lines and pipes. Hopefully I will never need them again, but if I do I wouldn't call anyone else but Temple Tree Service. Thank you Mark Temple.

They did a good job. Some minor damage to the driveway and lawn from the heavy equipment and large tree branches, but in hindsight, I should have anticipated it. <br />

Mark responded within a couple of days of our first call, and came out to look over our entire yard, make recommendations and give an estimate. We were impressed that he was interested in the long term health of our trees. He expected to return and do the trimming in about 2 weeks. It was closer to 4 weeks, but he apologized saying it was a busy time of year. That was not a real problem for us since it was not an emergency. The work required heavy equipment. As promised, they put down plywood to protect the lawn. As each limb came down, his helpers hauled them to the chipper, so there was only minor debris to clean up afterwards. Also, he ground out the roots of the tree that had to be removed, leaving a level surface. <br /> We were happy to find someone who loves old trees (as we do) and is more interested in saving them that in just cutting them down. <br />

Hi all, Let me state this clearly.  You really don't need to look any further.   <br /> We had a few very dangerous trees on the property.  One massive tree just feet from the house, and a really tall tree that had been hacked up by the power line company which rendered it very ominous to my neighbor's new addition to his house.  ( he was quite nervous about it ).  Another tree was just a pain, and in the wrong place.   All trees needed to go.  I knew it would be a big job.   <br /> Mark Temple was the first, but in the end, the only estimate that I got based on reading other reviews on Angie's List.  Mark came out, was very knowledgable and we agreed on everything that needed to be done.  His pricing is higher than I had expected due to guessing games with friends and colleagues, but I was ready for it.  Mark was very prompt following my initial contact to get out to the house to have a look.  I was handed a price by the time he left.  I took a bit of time to look over the contract and signed the form and returned via U.S. Mail.  Mark had informed me that he was 5-6 weeks out in bookings so I just let the time pass.   After several months passed I began to feel overlooked so I contacted Mark again. After that, I seemed to be on the front burner again. Who am I to know how his business flow works on a daily basis... but status updates for pending jobs would have solved my anxieties. <br /> Prior to work commencing, I required verification of insurance coverage for his business and that was done, at bit at the last minute for my taste but all was in order and to the satisfaction of my own insurance agent. <br /> I had to be out of town when it was finally my turn but had good neighbors ( you know the type: nosy ) watching it all, and a trusted friend that was a rock for me here and kept an eye in progress... briefing me along the way.  From his impressions, I rather wish I could have been here to witness it all.  Apparently, the job was handled with the utmost of care to avoid any damage by debris.  The "nosy" neighbor told me he was d*** impressed by how clean the site was upon completion of the job. <br /> So, I get home and got nothing I can complain about except all the sun hitting my sun room now.  I think I might need to plant a tree or something. <br /> Way to go Mark!  I too am impressed. The final price was as stated in the estimate.  The property looks awesome.  With the exception of some business continuity issues, I had a great experience with you and look forward to recommending you to others. <br /> <br /> <br />

I had to take down part of  the fence to allow the trucks to get through but that was understandable.  Mark consulted with me about what should be removed and Mark mentioned he was a licensed arborist.   Overall, they did a good job. <br />

I have used Mark's services in the past.  His crew has always done an excellent job at a very reasonable price. <br />
