We hired them to remodel a bathroom in March of 2018. We have spent more than $2200 on the project and it remains incomplete, and we haven't heard from anyone from the company since April. A complete an utter NIGHTMARE!

The service man was very friendly, prompt and explained the services that they recommended in detail. Their prices were a little high, and with my insurance, I used another provider.

It was scheduled three times but the guy never showed up. I was then informed that he had left Angie's List. I was told a replacement deal would be offered or my money would be refunded. The new deal was for $299 & my money was not refunded. No more communication. My membership was renewed, even though I sent an email saying the service was not longer needed. I hired someone else to clean my gutters & sold my house on 06/30/2016. I moved to a new home in Waterville in October of 2016.

He repaired my fences, put a lock on a fence and cemented a post in. He also installed a light fixture. I had all the products. <br /> The lock? I can still open the fence. For handyman services, he does individual jobs quickly and is personable. <br /> People are safe with these people.

They messed up the ceiling part in a corner. They got the wall paint mixed in with the ceiling paint. They did try to fix it. We do have cathedral ceilings. It took them a long time to paint. I was a little frustrated or upset by the fact that the painter didn't have an extension ladder and ended up standing on my wood stove to reach. It made me so nervous. I really didn't want them to come back to fix the ceiling. They did smudge it pretty bad, but I just choose to not look at it. It wasn't exactly what I would have expected from a professional painter, but they did an okay job. They were very responsive. The owner called me the next day to see how it went. They were very punctual and professional. I guess it would be somewhat shady with the lack of ladders they had. I would probably use them again. Because of the difficult job, I think overall they probably are decent painters, it was just above their expectations. They were prompt and worked right thru until they were done.

Required repair to a front dormer , which was one immediately and cost an additional $350.00 that day. Horizontal third floor gutters were cleared of debris, but apparently not the vertical draining pipes. The dormer repair failed within months. I requested n estimate for replacement of the roof, which was provided soon thereafter. I have been in discussion of the cost of the portion of the roof needing repair first, planning to have the second half done early next year. Marshall Home Pros told me that they needed to have a 50% deposit a month ahead, in order to get a permit from the city. Meanwhile, have gotten an estimate from another company, clearly written, asking for somewhat less than the total cited by Marshall. I was told that no permit is needed (angles and height of roof are not going to be changed), and without needing to hold $$ for as long. Deposit proportion is less (not really the issue except that I didn't want $$ held for 30 days or more before work date would even be assured), and readiness to do the work within a shorter period, and within a day with a large crew, to minimize disruption to residents here and nearby. Materials and specs are the same for both estimates. My degree of trust in both is not. I signed with the other company.

"[Member Name Removed], The Leak The repair was done on 12/21/15 on 10/20/16 she said that it was "now leaking again" which was the first communication of any leak since the repair. The Estimates We have done several estimates since 12/21/15 and she has given us the go ahead a few different times and then had us hold off. And we said we needed a deposit of 50% to reserve your spot on the schedule and to order materials and acquire the permit. The Timing of the start of the job On 10/24/16 when you emailed that we can pick up the deposit check the next day you said that you had company over until 11/18/16 so we could do the roof after that which was about enough time to get a permit in Portland.(fast track application 30 days) Which at the time we were booked until late November so it would of worked out with the permit timing. As it turns out Portland does not require a permit for roofing which we would of found out once the deposit was made and then at that time we actually would of been able to do the roof on 11/28/16 as you would have wanted done originally."

<p>We had a tree that was growing up from underneath the house and they got rid of that. We also had a hole in the side of the house so they closed it up and added some siding. My dad did not like them although they were great as far as being able to work with our time table because the work was done in Maine and we live in Connecticut. We like to be there when the work is being done so they were able to pull people from some other sites to help us out to be able to do the work while we were there. So we really appreciated that. We have a hard time finding contractors that are willing to do that. We would hire them again depending on the type of work. They did not do crazy detailed work but there were some things that I would say they could have done a little better. I think their price was reasonable. We had some issues with responsiveness, but it was probably because they like to do things over texting or email. My husband and I are more phone people so we did not always get calls back right away. </p>

Provider first promised a date in early September, so we removed everything in the area in preparation. Provider did not show up and did not contact me. I tried to reach them for about a week. Finally they gave us a another date several weeks later. No one arrived that day. The next day a painter came mid-day and stayed less than two hours; one of the men spent most of his time holding the ladder for the second man. They were not from Marshall Home Pros but were subcontractors brought in because Marshall was too busy. They appeared to be guest workers. Work progressed slowly until we made private arrangements for them to spend extra time to complete the job. At that point four painters showed up and did a good, thorough job. I have no fault with the men who actually did the painting, but Marshall Home Pros were not pros in customer relations. And I cannot speak to the job Marshall would have done, since they never showed up nor communicated with us.
