Pest Control - Small Animals
On April 28, 2026, we hired Martin Exterminating, 1780 Roanoke Ave., Roanoke Rapids, NC 27870, to resolve crawlspace moisture issues and provide pest control services. We were told the job would take one week, but because of canceled appointments and equipment problems, it was not completed until May 28, 2026. Despite the delay, the work was completed to our satisfaction.

Termite Pest Control Service
Their yearly inspection takes 10 minutes. They go up in cost without telling you until after the inspection. They texted me saying my bill was overdue, but they hadn?t even sent a bill. They used to be good, but they changed ownership and it?s gone downhill. I do not recommend them.

Do not under ANY circumstances use this company. They do not stand behind their work. Because they didn't complete the work they were supposed to (removing squirrel feces in the attic for $1250), we did not close on selling our home. The inspector found poop that they were supposed to clean up in the attic right on the final inspection before closing. That night, a storm caused a tree to fall that also damaged the bulkhead. We then had to delay our closing and had to spend an additional $5k to remove the tree and repair the bulkhead. They acknowledged NO fault and came up with excuse after excuse. We asked for a refund but, so far, nothing has been resolved. Rudy and his entire staff are dishonest and unethical. We were also billed for a number of service calls over the winter when I know they didn't get into the house because I had the key. It took me several calls to resolved that. The only honest person in the company is Johnny. Find a different company in the Lake Gaston area.

"This review contains inaccurate information. We provided wildlife trapping services as requested, and the customer declined any additional work because they were preparing to sell their home. After our service was completed, a tree fell on the house due to a natural event. Unfortunately, the customer later blamed us for not performing cleanup—services that were neither requested nor paid for, and that fall outside the scope of our business, as we are not a tree removal or landscaping company. When I reached out in good faith to resolve the situation, the customer demanded a full refund along with additional compensation, which was not reasonable given the circumstances. It seems this frustration may have stemmed more from delays in their real estate process caused by the storm than from any action on our part. We take pride in our work and always aim to be fair, but we won’t compromise our integrity or allow our small business to be taken advantage of."

Called for annual inspection and followup but requested a more experienced inspector because of an issue with ants in an upstairs window frame. They sent an excellent resouce and he spent extra time going over potential future issues with me as well as recommending possible solutions and their costs. <br />

I HAVE NO PLANS TO CHANGE TO A DIFFERENT COMPANY. THE MAN WHO COMES OUT KNOWS EXACTLY WHAT HE IS DOING, AND DOES A FIRST RATE JOB. I HAVE NOT SEEN A MOUSE IN MY HOUSE IN THE TEN YEARS I HAVE BEEN USING THEM.
