Sarah Maxwell in the last week We've used these guys for two years and they have been great! I think what sets them apart is their communication and problem solving. We are on a small side street in the city and they have always had a flexible approach when working in our dense neighborhood. For example, once due to unfortunate park jobs on our street, mark and his crew couldn't make it down our road. Instead of expressing any frustration to us, he just apologized that they couldn't make it down the street and explained that they'd come back in a couple of days. I was so struck by how positive and flexible he was. This was one of many reasons we signed up his crew for a second season. Highly recommended.

We got a few quotes from different places before we decided to go with MAS landscaping. They aren't the cheapest quote we got but we decided to choose them because Mark is responsive, serious about his work and a friendly person to work with. From the initial conversation to the end, Mark was very accommodating. He also gave us some idea as well. Originally he was going to have more guys to work on the lawn, but ended up having 2 guys working on it due to one other guy was not available. At first I was a bit skeptical on the progress, but at the end it turned out amazing. He even came over to check on the lawn a week after it was completed to make sure it's done correctly. Overall we are very happy with the work and his friendliness.

Mark and his crew are wonderful. They come in a timely manner and when they leave my sidewalk, driveway and stairs are spotless. I have a small property and they clean it with shovels (they also use snow blowers and and snow plows depending on the size of the property). Even though they are using shovels, they do an incredible job and I always have a completely clear property. And they are very fast. I am very lucky to have found them. <br />

"Thanks for the opportunity on letting us do the Landscaping and snow shoveling at your property. This was a very difficult property to do and from the start I told [Member Name Removed] we will have to do it as and when we can. Its a very tight street with no place to put snow. I expressed to her we can not take snow away we can only make snow banks. She would call days after a storm requesting to take now frozen snowbanks with plow and push snow from in front of her house down her tight Street . I told her that would just block everyone's driveway in...That seemed challenging for her to understand. Every storm [Member Name Removed] would often call me with weather reports, time of storm, duration etc. I have multiple texts from her days before a storm asking when we will be there? But then always saying she don't care and encouraging whenever you get here. Strange!.. She literally drove me and my workers crazy every storm! I don't call having one employee that speaks broken English not being able to communicate with him. The way you talked to them with your requests and tone they didn't want to speak to you or even be there. Your property was the only problem we had last winter or since... She would often request she pay me ever 60 days or as she can the amount she can..often resulting in a large balance from such an active winter. Her account was later eventually paid in full by the late spring and we both decided to part ways. This property was not a good fit for either of us. Our yard was neglected since last Fall when I was pregnant. With the new baby, the already neglected yard became worse the first half of this year. The yard needed a massive clean-up and regular maintenance afterward. As working parents, wouldn't it be nice if my husband and I can enjoy our weekends with the kid instead of doing yard work? <br /> I called Mark around noon one day and asked for an estimate and he stopped by that very same afternoon! I think the pricing was reasonable given the mess and size of our yard. I like that he did not over sell the work needed to be done, whereas another landscaper told me that he needed to ripe out this and ripe out that to make the yard look nice. I also like the fact that he did not rush into giving me an estimate on regular maintenace as he wanted to get to know my yard better first. So, this review is only about the big clean-up and a follow-up mulching. <br /> The clean-up occurred about 2 weeks after the estimate due to the busy summer season. Mark was very responsive to his email (our preferred mode of communication) during the scheduling. We were not home on the day of the clean-up. Mark gave me an update by phone and told me that he found some poison ivy in a small area of the yard which he had to work around it due to his severe reaction to the plant. He was very apologetic about it on the phone and later in his email. Other than that, the clean up went on. <br /> When I came home from work, the property looked so nice! The random growth and trash on the sidewalk was cleaned up. All the trash that was blown onto our yard, clipping, trimming from the trees and bushes were removed. Before the clean up, I did not like going out to the yard because of the untamed growth and the bugs hidding in it. Now it is so clean and pleasant, and I totally enjoy hanging out there with my baby. <br /> About a week after the clean-up, Mark came back to put mulch on the flower beds and gave the clean yard a finishing touch. <br /> We are definitely having Mark back for regular maintenance! <br />

Mark did the best cleanup I've ever seen. He got all of the leaves and trash out of my yard, and in addition, clipped all of my out of control bushes and they looked great! He also put mulch down in a section of my yard which really needed something. My yard was so clean -- nothing left behind! One of my neighbors said it all looked so neat. This is by far the best cleanup I've ever had. He will also handle my mowing, etc., this summer. He's a real find! <br />

Our yard had become overgrown with brush, fallen branches and just a mess. Found Mark on Angie's List, along with others who I asked to come over and bid. While Mark was not the lowest, he had a very competitive price. But more important was his earnest commitment to my satisfaction. I have a very odd piece of property, sitting on two streets with lots of tough terrain and he told me he will get this yard in great shape and came across as very believable. <br /> I am very happy with the work that was done, I see yard that I have never seen - we moved in and it was already tough, just got worse over the years. Mark followed up with me at the end of the day to check in and let me know his crew would be back the next day. I had two callouts and those were taken care of that next day, along with the final picking up. <br /> There was a change in original date, but i still rated punctuality as 'A' since Mark informed me of change, gave specfic new date and new date was still in my desired window for completeion. I would not hesitate to use MAS again. <br />

Mark did an incredible job. He not only gave me a great price on two yards full of overgrown vegetation, but did got the job done quickly (in 1 day). He did everything from removing some vines from the side of my house to pulling up some saplings that had taken root in my (paved) backyard. I plan on retaining his services again in the near future. I can't recommend him highly enough. <br />

Mark is incredibly hard-working, responsive, and honest. He promptly replied to all of my phone calls and emails. He and Dave did a great job of landscaping our previously bare and plain front yard. It looks great. I would absolutely call him again for future lawn and yard work. <br />

Throughout this project, Mark was dependable and professional. He went above and beyond our expectations! This was a nasty back yard job from years of neglect. Mark is a great communicator and service provider for lawn maintenance. He was the first business to respond to my email inquiry from Angie's List and gave me an honest take on how to replace and take care of the lawn for the summer. Since we are a condo unit he was willing to provide a quote and explain his services multiple times so all members of the association understood. Since we contacted him during a busy time the quote process did take a few weeks. Also once the contract was signed and sent, it took an additional two weeks to hear back from M.A.S., but once the work started you could see the transformation in the yard was immediate and we received a couple of compliments from neighbors right away. I would recommend his service to other homeowners, especially the fact that he splits payment into three phases (deposit, 1st day of work, day work is completed). There is more security in knowing the job will get done with that type of payment plan. There were three men on his crew, on site, each time they came to the property; so work was done quickly as well. We signed up for his monthly maintenance plan as well (one cut a week plus edging and trimming). <br />

Mark came out to give me an estimate the same week that I called him. Arrived when he said he would. The estimate was good, so we arranged a time in approximately two weeks for him to come and do the work. He arrived when he said he would. He and his crew worked hard and did an excellent job. I would not hesitate to hire him again. <br />

Mark is a true professional and very sweet! He and his team would show up every other week to cut and maintain my lawns. He and his team do a phenomenal job and I am so happy that I was able to find a landscaper whom I can trust to get the job down efficiently and beautifully! We've used MAS Landscaping as the full-service company for our condo association (3 units) for over 5 years now. (Amount spent reflects the rate for May-October work.) <br /> Mark and his crew do a great job, and our yard always looks fantastic, with a lush green lawn, and nicely pruned shrubs. We get lots of compliments on it, and everything is looking neat and healthy. <br /> In terms of snow removal, they also do a nice job, especially given that we have a lot of sidewalk and a complicated shared driveway arrangement.
