Horrible. They don't answer their phone and they are not responding to emails.

This company did an awesome job. I was very pleased with their timelines and professional attitude throughout the entire process, they were on time for the estimate and every step of the way from start to finish and did exquisite work. 10/10 would recommend.

Remodeled my kitchen and I couldn’t have asked for a better job too have been done! Everything looks wonderful with great rates.

We hired Maxey contracting in March and the job was to start in early May. We received several updates as to product availability delays and we we were slotted for early June. We contacted him again and heard nothing back. Opened a letter from Maxey on June 7 and come to learn the company is being “liquidated” and since they haven’t started the work we would be getting a percentage of 50% of our deposit back. The notification was very vague and on their letterhead. *** are they in bankruptcy? Are they just calling it quits? On June 10 a young man shows up at our house with check for less than half our deposit, just a check and no explanation, etc. Our deposit was 5,800 and so far have been refunded about 50% of the deposted. Not will what recourse we will have, but will be pursuing.

The worst mistake we ever made was hiring Blake and Maxey Contracting to do work on our deck. It turns out he’s little more than a swindler and a liar. He took up-front money and part way through the project he quit showing up and stopped communicating with us after a city inspector got involved. It turns out Blake never had a permit from the city even though he told us he had. The inspector surmised that Blake is not licensed in the State and therefore cannot get a permit from any city to do work. He left a huge mess in our yard which we had to clean up and pay for the removal, three of those green dumpster bags. He has refused to respond to calls, emails and a certified letter. His unscrupulous behavior has denied us the use of our deck for the past two plus months and for the amount of time it will take to get a reputable contractor in to do the work required, including re-doing some of Blake’s work that was sloppy and not up to code.

The project went great. The price was fair and they banged it out in two days. I'm happy, would hire again.

Maxey Contracting did an excellent job for us. Blake & Jason were awesome. They are honest, dependable, professional and hard-working. They tore out an old 10x10 deck and installed a beautiful 16x16 composite deck. We were so happy and satisfied with our new deck, that we hired them to install a 40 foot block retaining wall and do a landscaping project. Overall, they did an exceptional job for us and we would highly recommend them for your next project. We'll definitely call them back, when we need their help. What more could someone ask for from a contractor!

Blake is timely, accurate and a true professional. He stands by his work and I am impressed with the quality. The work did come out a little more expensive than the quote from our standard neighborhood deck builder. But I am glad I went with Maxey for sturdiness and quality, which stood out in his work

Great ideas, made my deck larger. Overall Blake does a good job, a little slower than usual, but that more to do with covid and materials being short

Blake and his partner were awesome! From the 1st call to getting the project scheduled within days, they were very professional. Got the job done in record time and took the time to answer all my questions. Definitely giving them a call for my next outdoor project!

The deck building went well I think. It took 2 days for Blake and his work partner to complete the deck. They worked pretty fast; came in the morning and worked until about 4:30 or so. I liked the building materials that they used; seem to be very good quality. I did misunderstand however, how the steps would be finished, as Blake said he had quoted me a basic deck model which would not include a board on the front of each step, but the steps would rather remain open. I said that I had not understood that he was only quoting me a basic model, and I did want the steps to look more finished. So Blake got right on it and said that he would add boards to the front of each step, and he was not going to charge me for the labor; only the materials. I insisted on paying him something for the labor however, since he completed the steps the way that I wanted them later that same day. The end result is that I am very happy with my deck. Blake worked very hard to earn my business and was willing to match a little lower quote that I had received from another company. He actually called me a number of times before I decided to go with Maxey Construction, in an effort to earn my business. I would definitely use his company again for some future projects that I have inside of my home.

It was great. They finished in a timely mannered and it was amazing.
