Mayne Masonry

Ross Mayne and crew were prompt in delivering an estimate and punctual about beginning work each day. <br /> The poured ramp is an improvement on what was there before because it blends with the rest of the patio and drains well. They were careful to maintain access to the outside water line, which threads under the ramp. After this they poured the patio proper, with a slope to push drainage into one area (rather than 4-5 collecting areas we had before). At the end they laid the pavers in sand and cleaned up. <br /> Ross and his guys are pleasant, easy-going and careful. The price was much better than another company offered, and the work was completely satisfactory. <br />

Mr. Mayne came as scheduled to examine the site and determined the cost for replacing the porch and steps. He described how he would also fill a crack between the porch and the walk and agreed to extend the width of the steps and to repair a crack between the steps at the side of the house. I asked about installing a rail on the steps. He replied that if I obtained the rail, he would install it. He called the next day with the amount he would charge which seemed reasonable from information we had from other sources. He said they could do the work in a week and a half. When I explained that I had not yet found a rail, he said that they could do the work and when I obtained the rail, he would come back and install it. They came at the scheduled time and did a great job removing the damaged porch and building a new one. <br /> I was impressed with Mr. Mayne's answers to my questions and his assessment of the best option for repairing or replacing the porch.  The work was done efficiently and a concrete spill was cleaned up thouroughly.  The workers were friendly and cooperative in every way.  Mr. Mayne reiterated his willingness to install a rail when I obtained it. <br />

Mr. Mayne came out to our house and gave us an estimate on the work to be performed.  He was punctual and very polite.  We felt the price was reasonable so we decided to use his services.  He was very busy and he said he would be able to complete the work in about a month (the middle of October).  When we didn't hear from him I called and he apologized and said that he had gotten behind, but that he would come out the following week.  He followed up by phone and came out when he said to jack hammer the old sidewalk and put in forms for the new concrete.  He had to wait on the concrete, so two days later he had the new sidewalk poured.  We are happy with the quality of the job and would use him again if we had need of concrete work or repairs <br />

He started in June and it is still not completed.  My porch is a mess.  I'll call him and he'll come out and finish one small part and then leave or won't come at all for a week or more.  He's moved concrete flower boxes that I can't move back and there is black mortar from where he removed the bricks.  It's to the point where he doesn't take my calls any longer and I leave lots of messages. He'll just show up, do the small part and then leave.  I really just want him to come and finish the project before the holiday season.

Ross and his crew were very responsive and super nice when they gave us their estimate for the project. <br /> We wanted two sets of new stairs, a walkway around parts of the house, and some stucco work. We wanted the stairs and walkway with stamped and colored concrete. <br /> Their price was really good, compared to other estimates, and they just seemed one of those great small companies that have a lot of experience and just know what they're doing. <br /> We set a date, they came, demolished, set the frames, poured, stamped. Everything was very organized and done the right way. They made sure that everything was designed and framed exactly as we wanted. They also gave us good advice on picking the right color and stamping pattern. <br /> Ross also put up new stucco around the foundation of our front porch. Excellent work there as well. <br /> When a small crack appeared out of the blue a few weeks later on one of the stairs, Ross came out right away. He identified the problem and fixed it. Not the quick and easy way, but the right way. <br /> We will definitely work with them again when we do the rest of the concrete work around the house. <br /> <br />

I’m VERY satisfied with his crew and the job they did. Dont mind the cry baby here who is one person who looks like she wants her money back for a free job. I have hired them back to do another concrete job around the end of June. I will post pictures as soon as I get them. Him and his crew are respectful hard working crew. I will hire them again and recommend to my friends

They did a good job, we liked them very much and they treated us fairly.  We would recommend them.  It was a several day project.  I called him at 10 o'clock one day to ask him to give us a bid, he responded within 30 minutes and he was out here at 1 in the afternoon.  We are out in the country, about 20 minutes outside of Louisville.  He was very responsive.

MM did a really good job.  As most of the communication was over the phone - Ross couldn't have been a better guy to work with.  The cost was fair, the job was timely, there was no mess left behind.  I would highly recommend their services.

Contacted Mayne Masonry left message.  Received call back the same day and agreed to meet on Thursday for an estimate.  Mr. Mayne arrived promptly on the day to discuss the project.  Received the estimate, accepted and discuss the dates for the project to begin.  Mr. Mayne contacted me the day prior to beginning the project as promised.  He completed the project on time and cleaned everything up.  Other than a beautiful patio you wouldn't have known anyone has been there!  When we are ready to replace our driveway, Mayne Masonry will be the contractor for us!

Great.  It took a little longer to get the work scheduled and done than I had hoped but I now assume he was busy because he's so good.  The job was done to my complete satisfaction.  I would definitely recommend this company.

Called and Mr Mayne came out in a few days at the time he said he would arrive.  Gave estimate of $300.00 and that is exactly what he charged.  Amount charged was a fair deal.   Said would call back in a few weeks because had lots of jobs ahead of me.  I had to end up calling him about 4 weeks later (I was not in hurry to get fixed so OK).  He came out next few days on appointed day and broke up old concrete and poured new.   Was done in about 6 hours.   I would definitely use this company again

He was very good and I was very happy with his work. His price seemed very reasonable for what he did. He was there on time he said he was going to be thee and the work was done on the schedule that he gave me. His professional was very high and he was very personable. I would recommend him to anybody resembling to concrete work.

We made an appointment for an estimate. He was on time and the price was reasonable. He said he would call to let me know when he was coming. It was a few weeks, because we had a lot of rain last spring and he got backed up. I had told him I needed it done by a certain date because I was having a party. he made sure to get it done 2 weeks before my party. I would recommend him

We got an estimate that was acceptable to us.  Mr. Mayne and his crew came out and did a great job.  It looks great and they did a good job cleaning up.

Very pleased with this company. Mr. Mayne gave us a fair estimate, then completed the job in exactly the manner he told us originally. Most impressive of all, he was very punctual, arriving at  the time he promised and stayed late to finish up. Seemed to take a lot of pride in detail -- made sure everything was cleaned up and left exactly as it was.

The job was scheduled earlier in the week but it had rained so much it was pushed to the end of the week. Mayne Masonry did a great job overall and I have no complaints.  Thanks.

It went very well!!  The only issue I had was getting a start date for the project.  Between weather issues, travel, etc., it took a little longer to get the project done but the end result was worth the wait!

The company did a good job.  It wasn't anything big, but it was done properly none the less. 

They created the reconstruction included the removal and replacement of steps and an extension of the landing. However, they did not extend the landing to the extent that they needed to to connect to our rock wall. There is a gap that should not be there. They also eliminated a step. They took it upon themselves to redesign the project without our approval and the project is insufficient due to a gap that does not protect the area appropriately. When I water the plants, water washes dirt across the step creating a mess. I called this company back to complain about the problem and although he was a very nice man he was a bit dismissive about the problem and actually just came back and placed a couple of rocks as a preventative, rather than fixing the problem correctly.

mr mayne gave me a date for the estimate and he came just as he said he would this impressed me already. he did the work promptly and stuck to his estimate  this money was well spent. it gave the house a nice look. and my renters were very pleased with it       my thanks to him is to use him and recommend him to others   

Ross and his co-worker came out and leveled the ground, framed in the work and brought in several loads of gravel. They designed the necessary means to elevate the steps as I requested and completed the job in a very reasonable amount of time. They were hindered only by the weather which failed to cooperate with their schedule so it took longer than it would have if the weather was good. They took it all in stride and worked as the weather permitted them to do so. After the concrete dried, they came back and put up all their equipment and even hauled away a few things that were in my way like the old wooden sidewalk used before the concrete one. That was great. Then they completed the job by using mortor to smooth out the sides and the job looks great. I will call Ross Masonry the next time I need any concrete work done and will recommend him to anyone that needs concrete work done. I am very satisfied with his work ethics and performance.
