"Hello Vincenzo - We are sorry you felt dissatisfied; however, several details in this review are inaccurate and require clarification. You were originally quoted $375 based on a standard cartridge replacement. After declining and attempting the repair yourself, you contacted us again and negotiated the price to $350. We accommodated your request on a busy Saturday and arrived earlier than the original scheduled window. Upon arrival, we discovered that the handle had already been removed and the cartridge screw was severely stripped?information that was not disclosed when the original quote was provided. The cartridge could no longer be removed normally and had to be carefully drilled and ground out. Because the condition and scope of the work had changed, the revised price of $450 was clearly explained and approved before we continued. You also acknowledged that another plumber had quoted the same amount. The $1,050 was never presented as the price for the cartridge repair. It was explained only as a possible valve-replacement cost if the existing valve or internal piping became damaged during removal of the stripped cartridge. That would have required opening the wall or tile and performing significantly more work. Fortunately, we successfully completed the repair without needing to replace the valve, and you were charged only the agreed-upon $450. Regarding the handle screw, we did not remove the handle and never had possession of its original screw. You had already disassembled it before our arrival and even suggested at the time that the previous plumber may have misplaced it. Nevertheless, we supplied a replacement screw at no additional charge so that you would not be left without a working shower. Asking a satisfied customer to consider leaving a five-star review is a common business practice?it was not requested in exchange for a screw or any other item. We accommodated you on a Saturday, completed a difficult repair caused by prior disassembly, honored the price approved before beginning, and left your shower fully operational. While we respect your right to share your experience, we strongly reject any suggestion that we were dishonest or attempted to take advantage of you.
