I will use him again

Scott McCormick replaced the main panel on my house. My utility company shut off power to my house at noon on Oct. 19, 2021. Scott was there an hour later. He was very scatterbrained and was unable to provide a cogent summary of the work he was going to perform, instead stating that he would "explain later" and ending with "you get me?" He put up the panel quickly enough, but then spent more than an hour attempting to drill holes in my brick wall. He didn't have the right equipment. He finally managed to hang the panel by two nails. The neutral wire was too short in length, so he had to drive around to find a patch. By the time he finished all this (which if he had the right tools and foresight, could have gone quickly), it was near five o'clock. The county inspector had gone home, and my utility company stated they couldn't restore power without the inspector's approval. Scott mumbled something about getting us a generator then vanished. I am a diabetic who stores insulin in my refrigerator. Without power, all the food and medicine would have expired. Thankfully, our neighbors helped us out. Even the next day, Scott didn't show up and speak with the inspector or call the utility company. My children and I reached out to express the nature of the emergency. When the county inspector came by, he noted that the panel was hanging by two screws and that Scott had put in a 200 Amp panel and stepped it down to a 100 Amp connection. We were able to get an interim approval and have the power restored near noon. Had McCormick had all his ducks in order, we wouldn't have had to spend nearly 24 hours without electricity. I spoke with several inspectors and electricians to get an assessment of the work and those that spoke to Scott directly stated to me afterwards that he didn't seem competent. I'd agree. I hired him off his positive reviews here, but these seem to be vetted. He is not professional, does not explain his work well, does his work poorly, does not plan his work accordingly, and leaves a great deal of the burden of restoring power (calling the inspector and the utility) to his customers. Once he left our house, we didn't see him the next day until he required payment, and then bam! he showed up. I highly regret the decision to hire him. Please go with someone else. I am a senior citizen with diabetes and this man had absolutely zero regard for my well-being in expeditiously replacing the panel so as to minimize any discomfort his work could cause myself and my household.

It went excellent. We've used them before. He is always on time. He always keeps the cost low. He has always exceeded my expectations and he fought problems about the project. He's the one we go to. $170 charge included the supplies.
