Not sure where all the high ratings came from with this company. We were expecting Mike, the owner, to be painting our house, with possibly some assistance. He only stopped by at the beginning of the job and when we called him due to problems/concerns. We had an exterior crew and a separate Interior crew. Exterior crew did a very good job on our front door and garage door. There was one minor mishap when the protective plastic stuck to the fresh paint, which they fixed in a timely manner. The interior crew was AWFUL - very messy (even left paint on our wood floors and carpet), & incompetent (couldn't even make even stripes on the walls)

Very fast and professional. Crew was timely everyday until the project was complete. I am, in fact, using MCD again for another painting project. Four stars also represents a very reasonable price.

They covered everything with plastic, including all floors and furniture, house was left very clean at completion. Job came in exactly as quoted and completed as scheduled. Mike (owner) personally came to inspect the job when it was completed ensuring satisfaction. Would highly recommend.

Mike and his team did a great job. They took their time and paid attention to detail. But really impressed me was when one of his guys accidentally caused some damage, he paid to get it fixed. During construction projects, these things sometimes happen, no matter how careful people are. But some contractors will blame the problem on someone else. Not Mike. Integrity is as important as skill and Mike has both.

work was average--told I owned one fee and fee was raised with no extra work before job started--made a door that was touched up look 100% worse--used wrong paint to touch up--made several calls asking for door to be corrected and company will not return call
Response from M C D Custom Quality Painters
"I'm was sorry that she was not satisfied. I explained that I would try to touch-up door of scratches, but if she wanted to guarantee to look perfect that we would need to spray the whole door with casing which she denied. The change in project was the added walls she wanted painted. Called back to arrange to spray door, but never got a response. Again I'm soory"

Fast, professional, and reasonably priced. Only criticism is that the clean up wasn't completed very well.

What a great experience on our exterior painting project. We're in a duplex so MCD had to work with two families on this one. The communication was excellent. Everything was done on time and there was not a spot missed. Mike walked our project personally upon completion and fixed anything he thought was missed and none of us could find anything else! He helped in getting our roof, patio covers and woodwork fixed at excellent rates as well. I highly recommend MCD!

Mike & his guys were fantastic! starting with competitive bid, easy to work with, gave me great advice, good follow up, worked me into their schedule on short notice. I was so impressed with the interior paint job, I added cabinet painting to project. I feel like I have a brand new home! Additionally, they were very flexible with some challenges, great job repairing wall damage from other contractors, (twice) And, great clean up afterwards. Mike and his team went the extra mile.

Conscientious, but workers need a lot of supervision by the customer

Mike did a great job for us. Even though it was a small job, he spent a lot of time to perfectly match the paint. And the quality of the work was excellent. A true professional.

MCD Painters was the best company for our project, which included painting and varnishing our staircase, handrail, and post. Their crew of workers were always on time and the costs were reasonable for quality of work. I would recommend them to our friends.

I was satisfied with the work Mike did. He showed up on time and kept me up-to-date with what was going on. Overall he did a good job and finished on time. His work is guranteed and the price is competetive. I would hire Mike again.

He was a really great guy but in the end I was not too thrilled with the way the house was left. I understand that there were parts of the house that were still under construction but we really felt as though they saw this as their way to not care if they made a mess. They were very inexpensive so I guess that counts for something. Super nice guy though. After being in the house now and looking around we can really see areas that they missed or got paint on things and did not clean up. I also really did not like that they left debris and the extra paint was just pushed aside for us to figure out what was what.

Mike was responsive and gave the most reasonable bid for a fairly small job that required the use of an extension ladder. The only reason I didn't give a 5 of 5 is that we had a small bit of disconnect over the color where he was not as clear in his communication as this painting novice needed him to be. However, quality of work, promptness, communication about the timing of the job and the professionalism of his employee were all 5 of 5.

Mike could not have done enough for us. He accomodated our needs and then some and we felt very confortable leaving someone in our home will we were at work. They made us feel like family and we are looking forward to supplying him with more work in the future.

Mike and his team did the job of painting our stair banisters. The job was top quality and he made sure our needs were met, and we were fully satisfied in his work. We received several quotes and MCD offered a competitive price for the best technique available.

Great work. Mike has a great attitude and makes sure everything is done right. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is that his crew needed some supervision. I would still recommend them though.

Mr. Donnelly was very responsive before he got paid but after we paid him, he disappeared. I called several times to do some minor touch ups but he wouldn't return my phone calls. We will have to hire another person to come out and finish what he started. If you choose to hire MCD, all I can say is to make sure you are completely satisfied before you pay them. Once they get your money, they're gone.
Response from M C D Custom Quality Painters
"I did callback customer to let him know we would come back to touch-up any spots in his garage that we retextured and painted. We played phone tag and then received these unfair comments. I do follow up and guarantee my work. Unfortunate situation my apologies."
