First thing they can do is hire a salesman that is not a bullshitter like he is selling a used car on the vegas strip. Got a new heater installed and was supposed to have an ac compressor installed as well. lets start with the heater installation went fine, however the ac compressor comes damaged because nobody checks the condition of any before coming out. Next was supposed to have a uv light installed in ductwork but that never happened, as they said they don't even have it. The next part of the job was supposed to have feed vents changed to bigger ones well that didn't happen as they never came out with those parts. Besides all of this disaster they left wire nuts and electrical tape, wire ties laying around the yard. Spilled pvc glue in my driveway along with cigarette butts on my driveway, because the one guy decides to take a cigarette break in his truck then fling the butt out onto my driveway. They knew I had dogs but still left a mess I had to clean so my dogs aren't eating these things. The salesman Anthony talked a good game to get the job but never stuck to the agreement we had in order to get the job. I will not use them in the future for anything else at my house and I urge others to take caution based on my experience.

I wish i could give 100 gold stars to this company. They did a complete renovation of bathroom into handicap accessible bathroom . I have a 100 year old house that needed to have the current bathroom with tub demolished and replaced with a handicap accessible bathroom with shower only. Along with having a sagging downhill floor with four layers and walls that were not square anymore. They needed to replace the original pipes, a combination of galvanized steel, copper and cast iron. And upgrading the electric in the bathroom. They were professional and meticulous in the care they took removing the old items from the bathroom and basement. Removing old rotted wood and replacing or rebuilding walls and floors. Mike Miller, my project manager, keep me updated on the project daily. He made sure that the dust level was mitigated using plastic to contain the area and covering the floor to prevent damage. His workmanship was first rate, impeccable and perfection to the tenth degree. John Bolli, our plumber not only replaced and updated numerous pipes in our basement but also took the time to check on other items there that he could take care of in the process. They left the work area clean after they were done. Any time you work in a house as old as ours numerous issues can come up. Luis Soto, electrician increased our electric into the bathroom by adding in additional outlets and the ability to have an exhaust fan. I know have four plugs versus 1 which is a luxury to me. Steve Sidman, painter, was meticulous in painting not only our bathroom walls, trim and door but also a very narrow accessible skylight that is very high up. And it all started with Doug Mottershead, the bathroom designer, and his suggestions and guidance in making sure all the handicap accessible items were put into the space but taking a small bathroom space and make it more spacious with his guidance on the style of sink and cabinet and numerous safety bars. And even the height of the toilet and shower. And help with picking out tiles, paint colors and faucets. Neil, who delivered and set up the trailer containing all items so that they had everything available that they would need for the job. And the removal of the demolished bathroom and trailer upon completion. Everyone involved in the project who came into my home under Mike's management was professional, friendly, and experienced in what their job was. Even now if i have any issues come up or notice a few items that needed touch ups Mike was more than receptive to my call and took care of everything asap. They really felt like part of our family while they were here especially since we only have one bathroom and were living with my mom next door during the three week process. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone looking for bathroom renovations or kitchen renovations which they also do. And in the future that will be our next project to tackle with their help. The workmanship and skill of all the employees involved in my project definitely showed in the care and way they worked on the project. McHales should be very proud of their skills as it reflects on the business and having skilled qualified employees. They all deserve a double bonus for what they brought to our job site. And Jenny Griffin, McHales Cares Coordinator, who came out during the job to make sure we were satisfied and happy with the progress of our job and delivered a really cute gift package and other information. I am extremely thankful for everyone involved in the project and the end result has exceeded even what i envisioned it would look like. Thank you, Thank you all.

Once we detected a leak in our garage ceiling from the bathroom above, we contacted McHales right away. We knew from prior experience that they are responsive, reliable and quick. Doug M. referred us right away to the right co-worker. We worked with John B. right away who assessed the damage, advised how to prevent further damage and coordinated repair the next day. Alex E. the next day fixed the leak and repaired the garage ceiling. It now looks as if there was never a leak. Great job! Thanks to all :).

Great....they arrived as stated and finished in one day as stated.....They had to dig a trench and run a line from the basement to the shed, a bit of a distance from the house....work was performed meticulously , lawn was minimally dug up and covered over nicely....other work was performed in basement running new lighting and cleaning up the panels...I have two different zones with two separate panels. Ed and Kyle were very personable and even kept my nosed dogs happy. I. Would definitely use them again......mchales installed a new kitchen for me around 3 1/2 years ago and I am just thrilled with that also.

They came out to fix my ac unit claiming they knew how to do so. Their employee super glued part of it, broke a valve and did not fix it and then did not correctly tighten a compression valve and now there is a huge hole in my ceiling with water pouring down. The owner refuses to return my calls to refund my money and now I'm left with a hole leaking water. Last time they will ever be called

Everything went well, as call was made over the weekend that a slight drip in the cabinet below the kitchen sink was observed when the garbage disposal was turned on. Dispatcher returned the call early Monday morning and appointment was set up early afternoon. Marty showed a hairline crack in Badger garbage disposal. He took serial number and called manufacturer directly to confirm date of purchase/installation was in fact 10 years old and needed to be replaced. Work was performed expeditiously and professionally by Marty. When we confirmed being members of Angie's list, Owner approved a very fair price. Very pleased with Marty and McHale's.

The plumber arrived at the specified time and went right to work diagnosing the problem, He diagnosed the problem quickley and snaked out the drain. Unfortunately, I had an additional problem with clogging shotly after the tech left & called lthe office. They arranged for another tech to come out the next day and he found & fixed the left over problem within an hour. I would definitely use McHales again & recommend them to anyone looking for a plumber.

Both techs left the bathroom clean (I scrubbed the toilet & shower after they left & it looks great!)

They worked a miracle in our opinion. From beginning to end we were totally impressed. It started with a visit to the showroom. Paul was friendly and answered all our questions and concerns without any problems. From there Doug came to our house to see the kitchen, get and give us ideas and suggestions. He actually listened to our budget concerns and restrictions and came up with a design that we absolute fell in love with. We hired McHales in May. At the end of may, Dough came to the house with the remodeling team to go over the designs and address any additional problems or concerns that may have come up. Only thing that came up at the time was the electrical panel box needed to possibly be upgraded and we decided to do it since we were having the work done anyway. The remodel itself started promptly on July 11th as scheduled. Vince and his team were prompt, friendly, answered any questions we had. Unfortunately a problem with the old plumbing drain pipes was discovered. The problem did cost additional, but nobody could have seen that issue until actual work started. But we will say they clean up every day, they were great! The work was projected to be completed on July 29th. It was completed August 3rd because of the plumbing. We are totally pleased with the results and would not hesitate to have them come out for any work we need done. We plan on doing our bathroom in 2 years and only plan on calling them out. Quality workmanship is definitely shown. The price below reflects the additional costs of the plumbing, electric and soffit. The attached pictures honestly don't do it justice.

Reconfigured duct work using flexible insulted tubing (something that is used in an attic) in the wall of my kitchen. Results - 2 upstairs bedrooms have very little airflow and therefore no heat. The technician came out to look at the work and to see what our complaint was - he informed us it was because of the bends in the tubing causing the decreased airflow - therefore problem was not resolved.
Had another HVAC company come out to look - and was told the insulated flexible tubing which McHales used should not have been used on this job, this is the reason for the decreased airflow- the tube was actually "smashed" in places. The ducts McHales installed have to be replaced with hard ducts. McHales did a sloppy, lazy job for such a high price.

**An update to this review: Another HVAC company came out this afternoon to look at the problem (actually was the Owner of the company)- he detected one of the cylinders McHales installed leading up to one of the rooms the seal was broke and separated and also has a puncture hole in the cylinder where air is escaping. He also comment on the sloppy job with the duct work- too many turns and questioned why they used the material they did for the duct work. He suggested to us to contact McHales and have them come back out and fix their work. My husband is so feed up with them - he wants nothing more to do with them. Expensive lesson learned - do not use McHales for you heating / duct work.
Response from McHales
"The homeowner hired a friend of the family to do remodeling work at their home and be to their General Contractor. He called Mc Hales to do the ductwork. We arrived to the job and advised the GC to NOT put flexible duct in the wall. He approved our scope of the work and price. All ductwork by Mc Hales was hard piped. The GC installed the flexible ductwork after we left. We never met the homeowner until the work was done and it was time for payment. The GC/friend of the family got into a dis-agreement with the wife and walked off the jobsite. We have tried to reach the homeowners to discuss and resolve the issue."

Positive comments:
The heating system, with 3 zones works flawlessly. Township inspectors were impressed with the install quality.
Negative comments:
All work commenced on 2/2/15. Temperatures that week remained below freezing, so timely installation was required. The first day several technicians showed up and began work on both the heating and electric simultaneously. Unfortunately, scheduling beyond day 1 was difficult as other jobs became the priority. Heat was restored on the evening of 2/5/15.
The quality of the electrical service upgrade was sub par. A whole-house surge protector was installed incorrectly including the main wire that simply fell off (not attached). Wiring in the box was sloppy and breakers were not labeled adequately (non descriptive). The initial township inspection failed due to improper grounding.
Administrative: Much difficulty in scheduling work, and too many calls to try and take care of administrative task like applying for PECO rebate and obtaining warranty information. Owner had to complete tasks on their own.
Overall: I've come to learn that this company's primary service is the design and installations of new kitchens and baths. While they will quote on electric and plumbing, it is not really the direction they are going.
Response from McHales
"We agree the job flow should have been better planned out. We tried to get squeeze to many techs in and should have spread it out. We repaired the electrical issue immediately. Peco is very difficult to get rebates and we hope they improve their processes. We have been in business since 1950. Our plumbing , HVAC, electrical and drain cleaning represents 50% of our work. The other 50% is kitchens, baths and additions. Thanks, Tim Mc Hale"
