Means Painting did an incredible job, I would recommend them to anyone.

Means Painting was great to work with! They were 1 of 3 bidders and the only one to come in within my budget for exterior paint. They came on time every day, did outstanding work and helped me when I struggled with some last minute painting decisions. They were friendly, patient and professional, I would highly recommend them and will use them again should the need arise. My house looks brand new, not an easy feat for something built in the 1920's!

We had a huge job for them to do. They did most of it well and overall we are pleased, but there are some details they missed, and left behind some paint on the floors in a few places (luckily not in majorly seen areas). They are very very nice men, and they gave us a good price. They use Behr paint and were flexible on the colors we wanted. They also painted the insides of all our kitchen cabinets without charging extra, and gave us some pointers on things we could skip to save money (painting the insides of closets). I am sure they would come back to do touch ups if we asked, which we probably will since there are 5-10 missed small spots.

The job done was fair and reasonable. What made the job really acceptable for us in the end was the result of one worker on the team and his high skill level at painting edges and finishing lines where they needed to be--he was really exceptional. The problem was he had to redo or go over the line/edge work some of the other team members had done and was found poor quality.

They did an excellent job. They spent the first day prepping and repairing any areas prior to the second day that was painting.

Generally, I am quite satisfied.  They came early on the first day and were done on a timely basis on the second day.  Two coats of paint on everything and all issues look well-sealed.  Couple of oops on the back of the railing on the front porch, but I can easily touch it up without much trouble.  They were very professional and friendly.  I will definitely use them again for other projects.

I had previously used Means to paint the outside of my home. I was pleased with that outcome, and they did not disappoint me painting the interior of my home. <br /> They showed up on time all three days. Careful attention was paid to removing belongings, covering and closing off areas so that there was no mess to clean up. They let me know their lunch plans and when they would leave at the end of the day so that we could coordinate our time. The cost was in the middle of other bids I obtained from Angie's List. <br /> Means also went above and beyond the scope of the work. On the last day, several workers finished early and rather than sit around, they repainted some woodwork. They even sealed a squirrel hole outside the home with metal and painted it to match before they finished. <br /> I would proudly show my home to any Angie's List member that would like to view their work. <br />

I'm very tough to please, and Charles and Larry Means and their crew couldn't have made me happier. They began with a thorough and professional estimate and then scheduled the job as soon as I gave them the go-ahead. While working, they arrived on schedule each morning, took great care of my home and went above and beyond the agreed job scope by noticing (and fixing) lots of issues that we'd never discussed beforehand. They left my home clean at the end of each day and, throughout the day, walked me around to make sure I was satisfied and that I understood their approach. <br /> It makes a big difference to have experienced company owners on site (and working!) the entire time. These guys know their business and are committed to doing things the right way. I've been doing a major house renovation for several months and have had a lot of hiccups along the way. Means Painting renewed my faith that there are quality vendors out there who take pride in their work and also price their services fairly.  They'll be my first call next time I need painting help, and I'm excited to recommend them to my friends. <br />

The crew of Means Painting did a fabulous job painting the outside of my two story house! My husband and I aren't the only ones to love the work they did, neighbors have given us numerous compliments.  The job took three days to complete, one day to clean and prep and two days to paint. Not only was everyone nice and professional, but they worked extremely hard as well. Charles was in constant contact with me and a pleasure to work with. We are planning on using them again to paint the interior of our house soon. <br />

Wonderful family owned company. They were prompt, punctual, and did a wonderful job painting our new home. Extremely flexible and easy to work with. Our neighbors compliment us on the new paint job. Extremely pleased.

Charles Means provided me with a very competitive proposal for the painting I needed in my home, and I decided to go with his company.  Larry Means and his crew arrived on time.  It took a couple of days of prep and painting and the crew cleaned up at the end of each day.  It was a pleasure to work with this team.  They are very professional with high standards and want to make sure that everything is perfectly done and to my satisfaction.  Larry even nailed a beam in my den that was loose.  They go above and beyond to ensure the customer is pleased.  I would certainly recommend Means Paintings and will use them again in the future when I need other painting done. <br />

I absolutely loved working with this family run company. Charles and Larry came and did the initial quote personally, and gave us plenty of reassurance about their previous work. They as well as their crew were really friendly, and gave a fair price for what we needed done. On the first day of the job, they were on time and professional. All of the floors and furniture were covered, and everything handled with care. Day two was no different. They did a great job, and cleaned up well afterwards. Even when we had a miscommunication about one of the colors, they graciously came to repaint the wall with no questions asked. With a one-year warranty on the job, I have no doubt that they did an excellent job. In the future, I would definitely use them again! <br />

This ended up being a 1-day effort by 4-5 men, led by Larry Means (brother of Charles, who did all the contact work).   <br /> They accomplished all of the above from 8:30 AM to about 4 PM including cleanup. <br /> We were pleased that the hot water heater door could be repaired and not replaced - some estimates of replacement of this 24" door (vented) were above $1000.  It was Larry's thinking that made it possible - he has the mind of a handy man - do what can be done rather than grand plans that lift the costs.  Replacing of facia, some flashing and soffit went well - the painted results were great (we had painted 2 sides of the house before recognizing we were in over our heads - we provided the paint for the job as we had some already and the color would match).  Painting and caulking were of the highest order. <br /> The mudded interior wall spot matched the existing texture - nice work. <br />

Charles and Larry were great, as were their crew. Very professional, timely and hardworking. Will definitely use again. <br />

<p>Charlie Means came by about a week before the job started. He gave us a sound, itemized estimate, was professional and personable. The quote as all inclusive and he guaranteed his work. He anticipated the job would take two days. His brother Larry runs the paint crew.</p> <p>Larry and the team of 5 painters showed up about 0800 as planned. They first reviewed the work to be done and gladly took on the extra work offered on the interior fireplace trim and rear storm door, and painting our address fixture over the front entry (no reservations, nothing but "Sure, we can do that!). The exterior was power washed by part of the team while the others set to work on the repairs. They did a great job here, going above the norm in my view to make sure that their fixes last! They did a great job on the painting... I haven't seen any drips or overruns. They are obviously a happy team, joking with each other and driving each other to do a superlative job, while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.</p> <p>There were a couple of very pleasant surprises that we did not anticipate... first, we did not get charged for the extra work we requested at the last minute. Second, they finished the two day job in less than one day (they were done, packed, cleaned up by 4PM). This greatly exceeded our expectations!</p> <p>Charlie and Larry Means (and their team!) are honest, class guys. When they tell you they will do something, it gets done. I was very pleased with the work and liked the employees they sent out. You could tell they were experienced and they cleaned up well afterwards. The house looks really good!

It's really pretty good on overall but it took us a long time to get scheduled because he ran this ad and he got more than he expected and so it took a while to get him scheduled so he did the first coat and then when he came out to do the second coat, that took a long time too. But, the work was fabulous. The workmanship was remarkable and we're pretty alert to that now because we had a couple of different painters out here and the difference from his work and the other two painters that came out.

Charles is a nice, professional man who tries his very best to satisfy his customers. HIs team has all been with him at least 12 years and all were professional with an upbeat attitude. They put down paper where they walked to ensure that my floors did not get messed up and they put plastic throughout the whole room to ensure that texture did not get on my walls when spraying the orange peel on the ceiling. They were all punctual and on time. They even came back to touch up a piece of texture that did not come out right once it dried without hesitation. Definitely a trustworthy company to work with. <br />
