I didn't like how expensive they were.

I chose this company over the other bids because I felt the salesman knew exactly what I wanted without even needing to explain.  Their bid was high, but they offer no interest financing, and would take care of minor details that other companies would not (i.e. tree/brush removal.)  In addition, they agreed to have the job complete within a week.   <br /> The salesman, Eric, talks a good game.  I knew that he was kind of "full of it," however, he made promises that other companies could not. <br /> Eric is the only reason that I did not give this company an "A" rating.  When it came down to a discrepancy, the wonderful/accommodating Eric, became rude and had no problem arguing with me.  He showed me pics of fencing that were darker wood than I actually received.  In  addition, there was a lack of communication regarding some linear footage of the fencing portion of the front yard.   <br /> Craig and the installation team were excellent.  They met my deadline even though there were thunderstorms.  They worked long hours to get the job done.  Craig provided excellent advice and they were pleasant to have around for a few days.   <br /> The end result looked great even though it was lighter in color than I hoped.  Some of the dirt could have been better spread out, but I realize they were short on time.  I probably would not choose this company again because of the salesman, and their higher prices.  I like to know I am getting a good deal, and I did not get that feeling when it was over.  The no interest financing definitely helps- especially if you are a broke first-time home buyer. <br />

They have done several window jobs for me. They are excellent. They come within the time frame of their contract. They give you good quality work. If you have any problem with their work they will fix it. I had a problem with my 2005 door and they came took the door down, serviced it, and put it back up without any charge. They stand behind their work and want you to be happy.

At first, as they were working on the job, everything seemed to be running smoothly. My husband was very ill at the time and we were stressed after the break in, so I trusted them and their workmanship. After the job was "completed" some time had passed, I noticed that the bottoms of the guards were not sealed properly into the wood sills. The whole wood sill was left unprotected, this is now causing cracks and decay. There is no point in having the guards if they are not in a solid frame work, as they could be fairly easily pulled out. <br /> I contacted the company in regards to the lack of seal on the sills and was told that they wouldn't return without charging a large sum for each window that needed the sealant, which was all 10 windows and 3 doors. I explained that there had been illness in the family and we had been trusting them to do the job correctly. We had paid them in full and had trusted that the work would reflect that. Again, they said they would only send someone when they were paid extra, $250 per window sill! <br /> I want them to come out and fix the work, or pay to have another company finish what they started! I don't feel that I should have to pay above and beyond the $10,000 that I already spent.

Initially I was hesitant about using Medallion because I saw that they decided to remove themselves from Angie's List. But because I was having contract issues with another fence installer, I talked to a former customer of Medallion's and was told that they do nice work. You just have to overlook the salesmen. I got Medallion to the price of the previous fence installer after some haggling and placed my order.  Installation went great. Medallion called the morning of 06/01 to let me know they had an opening in their schedule and if it was ok they would be able to install my ordered fence today, a week earlier than scheduled. The two installers arrived exactly on time at 9 am and began to work. The fence was completed in one day.

Ten of the 15 windows have defective seals.   Upon contacting Medallion, they inform me that the manufacturer is no longer in business.  They offered to refer me to a company that would repair the windows ( at my cost).  They accept no responsibility for the repair or replacement of the windows. I am currently filing a complaint with the Maryland Home Improvement Commission.  <br /> <br />  I purchased those windows from Medallion.  They should stand behind their products since they selected which product they would sell.

I cannot, in good conscience, promote anythng positive from this company. This experience soured me so completely, that I will have a very difficult time trusting contractors in the future. <br /> <br /> Warning bells should ring out if you even think about using this company.

I did have some problems with them and my biggest complaint was their customer service. Once they got my money they acted like I didn't exist and when I called them back for a problem that occurred they never came back. They told me when they put the room in, I was going to have an air conditioner and a heating unit installed but he suggested that to save money I get an outside contractor to that work for me. What he didn't tell me at that time was that if I let an outside contractor to the work, they wouldn't be liable for anything that happened later. So I asked somebody to come and put the air conditioning and heating unit for me, they gave me the number of the unit that I needed to buy and they installed it. I had a problem with the unit because it was leaking, so I asked Medallion's owner to send someone to look at it and see why it was leaking. They gave me a bunch of stuff telling me that they didn't install it and that they were not supposed to be doing anything. They said if they come out it would cost me $4000 without even looking at it. Finally I convinced them saying that it was their whole idea for me to get someone else to do the job for me and so told them to be responsive for it. All I asked them to do is come and look at it and lead me in the right way so that I could get it fixed. He told me that it would cost $175 to just come out and look at it. First of all they took a month to get back with me and they gave me a date and time they were going to come out but they never showed up. He set up another date and said that they will come home by 2:30 in the afternoon but the guy did not turn up until 5:00 o'clock. Finally he came in just took some pictures and left and I haven't heard anything from them since then, they haven't called me to tell what could be done. I refuse to keep calling them because I think it's just bad customer service and I felt that they didn't respect me as a customer.

I liked that it was a custom product so it fit my shifting house better. They were fast with getting the door in and installing it,. They did have to come out and finish the caulking and I would have liked that it would have been done at the time of the installation. They are slightly more expensive for a custom product.

They were amazing. They were really great. They accidently covered the door bell, but they came back to fix it. They went above and beyond.

There work was professional, but they were expensive.

Sales process was extremely slow, and we didn't hear back from them after we put a deposit for nearly 6 weeks. Labor did not speak English, and didn't finish job. We had to fail Montgomery County safety inspection before they would come back to finish the job right. They left lots of long screws and nails in our yard. Nearly 5 years later, we have significant snow damage to the structure and are not looking forward to dealing with them to fix it. Interestingly, they call us every 3 months to try and sell us more stuff, like windows, doors, etc., when we have repeatedly asked them to take us off their call list. I wouldn't hire them - they don't seem concerned with quality products or services.

The windows were cheaper. I probably would have gone with the higher end windows and I probably would have gone with a contractor that is local. I wouldn't use Medallion. They were okay. They had to reinstall a few windows as they were installed incorrectly. They also had to replace a few windows as the glaze peeled out. I think I'd go for an Andersen or Pella window and hire an independent contractor to come in and install them. They are almost the same as any other finer window cheap replacement company. The price and responsiveness was good. I'd rather go in for a higher end product. If you're looking for cheap window replacement, they are as good as any other window companies.

I received an initial estimate in November and was told I had 1 week for the 'special' price quoted. I called Ed Yates back in January and surprisingly the price was still the same. I did catch him in a lie in the details of the door handles from what was told to me in November. I should have followed my gut and walked away then. But, I decided to still get the door. When the installers came, neither one of them spoke English well enough to complete a sentence. That probably would have been fine if the install was smooth but that wasn't the case. They 'supposedly' measured the door prior to it being made but had a hardest time installing it. On top of that, my doorbell was covered by the security door and it was suggested that I go buy a new one to fit the new door. What?!? Very unprofessional!! Overpriced!! Not worth it!!

Excellent! Medallion had built our deck two years ago. The wind had blown away the decorative bulb on the enclosing fence. Medallion was called last Monday and came that same day and replaced it.

I felt they were expensive.

The salesman, Ed Yats, didn't fill out the sales form properly and had Charlie who is head of services, not come out himself to confirm the order, I would have received incorrect merchandise and would have had to pay for it myself. I would hire them again, but I would recommend a different salesperson.

I have used them before for a sun porch. They send out an engineer to make sure everything is OK. They were prompt, courteous, efficient, cleaned up well, and did a beautiful job! They are very easy to schedule with.

They were very efficient. The workmanship was outstanding. They finished on schedule. There sales people are very informative and customer oriented.

The installers arrived exactly on time and got to work right away. They were very prepared and fast. They installed all six windows perfectly, and left no mess behind. The time frame for installation was exactly as the company described. When the work was completed, the installer walked me around to each window to make sure each worked perfectly, and showed me how to open and close them using the new latch features and pull out features.

It took me more than one phone call to get in touch with him. On the other hand, the workers were excellent. Their quality of work is outstanding. I told the owner not to let go of these guys because they worked very well. They are excellent, and the pricing is reasonable.
