It went fine. I think they could do a little better service. Only one person there did a great job. They missed alot they weren't thorough. I was disappointed. Price was in line with everyone else. If you have them come back they will deduct twenty dollars and then fifty dollars. The head girl was really nice.

When we first contacted them, I gave them my cleaning instructions. They were supposed to clean between 3.5-4.5 hours. However, they rushed through some things, leaving things unclean. They were not thorough cleaners They did not do what they promised they would do. I asked them to send the same two people because they knew how I wanted them to clean. They wrote back and said that they quit. They said they could not use my supplies or clean the way I wanted them to, so they decided not to come back.

Having tried a couple other companies before MM and one since, all on the recommendation of friends or family, it will be MM I will call in the future. <br />  I didn't think I was all that great at cleaning but the MM team was the only ones that hit my expectations and in some cases exceeded them.  Another huge factor was no language barrier whatsoever.  With a provider I used earlier the language thing resulted in a piece of my wood bedroom furniture becoming permanently dull due to a misunderstanding.  Even with no language barrier the other companies just didn't seem to get things all that clean - water spots around bathroom sinks, spots on the floor, buildup around faucets, dust-bunnies, etc.  The kitchen cabinets were shined up enough that now I am torn between replacing them or just adding on to them.  The grout that was grayish by the tubs was white again. <br /> The only minuses was that the bathroom faux marble vanity tops/ sinks seemed to have gotten more hazed up with light scratches in the time MM was cleaning them.  I'd been using softscrub on them for 12 years and they'd stayed shiny all that time.  Darlene showed me she used softscrub with a soft microfiber cloth. Having worked on aircraft with touchy plastic windshields & windows I know microfiber can hold grit in it through the wash so was not used for windows there.  I must add that a couple of the other services did put real scratches on those sinks.  One other thing is that maybe instead of cleaning the same places every time, look at other areas that get overlooked because they wouldn't need it as often, like walls or ceilings. <br /> If I need the extra help again, like I did for the year MM came regularly, or just need a one-time shot I will call Merry Maids. <br /> <br /> <br />

I contacted Merry Maids in August 2014 for a residential property.  Debra Knowles-Palumbo was early to the appointment with a smile.  She took her time and did a very thorough evaluation of every room including the basement. The house had undergone extensive renovation in fact the kitchen was an empty room with no cabinets or appliances. I explained that I needed a post <br /> construction clean prior to painting the living areas. Also the basement was in rough shape. It had severe water damage the prior December and I was not able to eliminate the ?wet? smell.  I inquired about sanding, cleaning and sealing the basement concrete. In addition, I explained that I would continue to manage this renovation project from Virginia, 2500 miles away. She said the cleaning would be no problem but that her team would not be able to sand or seal the concrete.  In the following days, Debra went above and beyond to reach out to her contacts to find a company that would do the basement sanding and sealing. <br /> A few days later she sent an estimate for the main living space and basement options and we booked a date. I opted to have Merry Maids deep clean the concrete basement rather than have the outside company sand and seal. The Merry Maids team completed the entire house including windows in one day. The following Monday Debra did a walk through of the house and actually had her team return to address more cleaning in the basement at no additional charge. The house looked amazing and smelled so fresh! I was more than pleased and confident that the painters had a good slate to start from. <br /> In March 2015 I contacted Debra again for a second post construction clean on the same residence. Our renovation was finally complete with new paint, including a new kitchen and new bath. Again Debra came out for an evaluation and to address any concerns I had. We booked a date for a week later and her team delivered another sparkling result.  <br /> Just to be clear, the cost of service was the total cost for both post construction cleanings.  <br /> Debra and Merry Maids were great to work with and extremely accommodating. I would hire Debra and Merry Maids again and highly recommend them for any housecleaning needs. They do a fabulous job at a fair price. <br />

average, missed a few things <br />

First I was told to expect two men, then it was changed to two women. They were supposed to arrive between 10 and 11am. At 11:15, I called the office and was told they’d been delayed at another home. It would have been nice if they’d called to let me know. I asked then that they come at 2. A man and two women arrived at 2:30. They were here until 6pm. I haven't used a service such as this before, but it seems like for the price, the number of workers, and the hours spent, they could have given it a once over to see if they’d missed a spot. <br />

Since this was my first experience with a house cleaning company I wasn't sure what to expect... I have learned a great deal since then. <br /> The quality of the service was very good... I didn't like the fact that the was cost was for 2 maids working the two hours instead of one maid trying to do the work of two in two hours. Things would be skipped over because she just couldn't do it all. <br /> I would hire them again with changes in how many maids would be cleaning. Otherwise the quality of the work done was good and the price was average for two cleaners for two hours. <br />

We were given a "Deep Cleaning" one time service by friends. We were so impressed with their quality and professionalism that we decided to employ them on a regular basis. We are more than happy with the service they provide.
