We were very pleased with their work - would hire again, happily.

The work that Metro Insulation, LLC did was well done. The contractor was very kind. I was a new member of Angie's List at that time. I didn't really understand so much what the big deal was. It wasn't a very large break in the price, but it wasn't a tremendous amount of money so I was glad we did this. I would recommend the company. The insulation they installed did end up making our house warmer. The price was considerably more than what I expected it to be, but I really wanted to get this done so I didn't comparison shop. I would shop around more before making a decision whether I would use them again.

The work was acceptable, but construction of the storage area was poor.  They installed used board and used insulation batting for the "walls" instead of wood.  Would I recommend Metro?  NO

It ended up being more that the $99 but I was pleased.

They never showed.

It was the first time I had used them. They were on time and very honest. They did everything they were supposed to. I would use them again.

It took a while to get through to the man.  Finally, when I did, I was told that the work I expected would not be performed but that he would spray Stuff in foundation gaps and around electrical outlets but would not go beyond the first floor.  I agreed to it even though it is not what I expected because I thought it would provide a marginal benefit.  But it certainly was not the Big Deal I thought I was getting.  The man sprayed the areas and left them in need of trimming out by me.  He did not come back and remove the excess.  So the aesthetics were not pleasing. <br />

OMG !!! Fabian is the man.  I wasn't certain, at first, but his assertions were validated in an independent home energy audit i had performed. he arrived and started working immediately. He was in-and-out in quickly, as promised. I ovserved the work. He was courteous and professional, and patient enough to explaing the whats, whys and hows to me. The end result: a drastif reduction in my heating and my cooling bills.  He kept me from making the mistake of buying replacement windows i don't need.  If i hadn't done this already, i'd CERTAINLY do it again.

I am very pleased with the results and would recommend Metro Insulation and Fabian to anyone.

I could not get in touch with this company to schedule the deal.  Initially, I could not get any response from the company for about 10 days.  When I finally did get in touch with the service provider he said he did not have time to talk or schedule.  When we finally got in touch with him on a weekend, he said that he was overwhelmed with the response he got from his deal and he advised us to get a refund.

The business owner, Fabian, was responsive and accomodating to my schedule. He came over the day I called and was in touch to let me know the status of his arrival as he headed through rush hour traffic. He was able to schedule the job the next week. On the day of the insualtion installation, he and his workers were prompt, courteous and professional. They did the work in less time than estimated and helped move old lumber from the attic to the curb at a small additional cost.

Probably the only "issue" we had (Fabian and I) was missing each others phone calls to set a time for the estimate. But once set, he showed up on time for the estimate and on time with his crew to perform the work. They also completed the job in the time estimated. Fabian and his team went right to work, laying down plastic througout the house (they had to take the insulation out through my bedroom), neatly placing all the old insulation in bags while in the crawl space before taking out. Throughout the appointment, Fabian brought me into the attic to show the points of entries and also the many places within the attic that had not been sealed off. Before blowing in the new, clean insulation, Fabian and his crew blocked not only the openings but placed wire mesh across the beams running between the first and second floor to prevent any "intruders" from being anywhere except the crawl space. This had been a huge problem for years - I always went after the invader and not their way into the attic to keep it from happening. The crew also de-odorized the space before placing the new insulation in the space. <br /> <br /> All in all, a great experience and something I wish I had done years ago. Already the house is more comfortable, smells better and much quieter (i.e. no rodents running around).

I have a 25 year old home which had just the original blown in insulation in the attic that the builder did. Consequently, I wanted to have more insulation added. <br /> I had just joined Angie's List and was sent a coupon for a highly qualified insulation contractor. The coupon was for $500 of insulation work for $99. So, I paid the $99 and had the contractor - Metro Insulation, LLC - come out to give me a quote. The owner of this small business, Fabian Makani, came out and surveyed my attic and advised me what I should do. <br /> I was very impressed with him. He did not try to sell me on addtitional insulation enhancements, but only what I really needed. I brought up a few things that I had heard about (ie. insualtion in the rafters) and he said it was not necessary and would gain me very little in added insulation, <br /> He quoted a price that I thought was very reasonable. I did not have other quotes, but had an idea of what the cost would probably be from speaking with neighbors. <br /> He was able to come out the next week and do the job in several hours. He was on site the whole time supervising his team. <br /> I needed a special "sleeve" for a bathroom fan I had forgotten to tell him about, and he provided at no additional charge. <br /> They cleaned up very well. I was totally satisfied and would use him again without question.

Mr. Makani and his crew were very professional. They arrived and finished the job on time. He explained everything thoroughly and answered all my questions. As a matter-of-fact, these guys went above and beyond the call of duty, doing a few "extras," that needed to be done.

Fabian and his crew of three showed up on time and ready to work.  They were courteous, professional, hard working, and friendly.  They put plastic down on our floors to protect them.  When they found an old metal bed frame in our attic, they carried it outside for us.  They asked us to come up to the attic and review their progress several times during their work to ensure that we were satisfied.  At our request, they made some last minute adjustments on a couple of vents in the attic.  Their prices were competitive, but we appreciated the personal service that we received from Fabian.  He was in constant communication with us during the days before the work, and gave us frequent updates during the three hour project.  We are very pleased with Fabian and Metro Insulation, and recommend them without reservation.

<br /> Company personnel scheduled to do the work on a semi holiday and they arrived on time/when they said they woudl.  They were very attentive to doing a good job - they lined the floor with plastic; they vacuumed up excess insulation).  They even phoned up days after completing the project to inform us that we might be able to take advantage of a tax benefit.  We would definitely recommend this company.

Fabian gave me an estimate and also very good ideas on what I could do myself to improve energy efficiency, and then came with his crew and finished the attic insualtion and the crawl space in a long morning. He put in thick insulation under kitchen plus subfloor and reflective lining, and plastic cover between ground and floor. He also shot about two feet of insualtion into all three sections of the attic from two different sides of the attic. I had just paid another firm almost 4k for the same ptoblem (freezing in the uninsualted back of the house) and their work had not helped. My attic is divided into three sections so very difficult to reach, but Metro were very successful and did a complete job, showing me each step of the process. Tonight we are sitting here in more comfort than we have had in years. They were very clean and careful as they worked in the hosue. Great firm.

They understood what we needed. They explained the details of our house and how our needs could be met in our house. They did a good job explaining the service. They were prompt, did a good job and cleaned up well.

Extremely impressed with Metropolitan's professionalism throughout the experience. Fabian provided good counsel as to the material and work which was needed, at one point telling me gently but persuasively that the direction I wanted to head was wrong. I liked that -- other companies were willing to let me make a mistake just to get the job. Crew arrived on time, did their work quickly and well, and left the place clean without debris. Price was extremely competitive -- not the cheapest, but I got superb value for my money.

Fabian explained all the steps involved and showed me their progress as they went. He was patient and accomodated all my suggestions and concerns. We were very pleased. Clean up was fine; now we will see about the comfort level as the weather gets colder.
