Adrian was great. The estimate was about $20,000 for the second story, composite deck we want which means that the project will be put off for a little while. We will probably get a couple other estimates for comparison at that point, but we were very happy with our consultation experience with Adrian.

Great, provider was very friendly and did a great job.  Left no mess behind and told me about the damage to the inner parts of my chimney.  He said it needed to be replaced but wasn't being a pushy salesman and even said to get some quotes and call them back he I don't find a better deal.  They were on the expensive side when it came to replacing the panels tho.  But overall I would use them again to clean my chimney. <br />

I had a great experience with this contractor.  They came when they said they would to give me an estimate, the estimate was reasonable, and after collecting two others I chose them. They then came to repoint my chimney when they said they would, they did the work in the time they said it would take, and the finished product looks great.  They also cleaned up after themselves thoroughly. The job was probably a little more complicated than usual because my air conditioner units are at the base of the chimney, but they navigated around them without any apparent difficulty.  I am glad I used them and I would do so again! <br />

They were very professional and did the job in a timely manner.  Our terra cotta liner was 50 years old which needed to be changed to a stainless steel liner. They were able to give us a good price.  The job was completed in two days.  I appreciated Oscar working with our time line.  Excellent company! <br />

Wow - punctual, courteous, professional, honest, and couldn't have asked for more.  First of all, a quick comment:  Most of the "A" rated services would not accept my business because I have pellet stove inserts.  I assume this is simply because the stove has to be pulled out and disconnected.  Metropolitan Chimney Masonry Service Inc. accepted immediately, and was very prompt and professional throughout.  <br />    Our rep showed up exactly on time, and explained everything that was to be done.  He was very careful while moving items around to gain access to the pellet stove, and answered all of my questions thoroughly.  He was very pleasant to work with. <br />     Special note:  I was a bit worried, as I have never employed a chimney sweep before, and a neighbor said that she needed to have a lot of work done.  Since it's a bit like taking your car into the shop (your flux capacitor is shot), the average Joe doesn't really know what's really needed in the dark recesses of our chimneys.  I was both relieved and very impressed with his explanation that my chimney was in fact in "very good" shape, no special or significant repairs were needed, and it was not very dirty at all (pellets produce low ash, he explained).  The crown is a bit worn re the masonry, and he showed my a picture and explained what a new crown would do to prevent rain water from seeping into the bricks.  I never felt any pressure, and everything was explained thoroughly. <br /> All in all, outstanding service from a company I trust, and I will definitely be a return customer.  Joe (the average Joe I mentioned earlier)! <br />

The company was responsive - gave me a same-week appointment.  Adolfo came to my house, assessed the work to be done, and quoted me a fair price.  He did the work right at that time.  The job was done well - it looks professional and neat.   He even colored the concrete so the patches would better match the existing concrete.  I am pleased with the work. <br />

Oscar was wonderful, very knowledgeable and very good at explaining what needed to be done.  They didn't have the damper system in the truck however were willing to return the same day to install.  I was very pleased! <br /> <br /> <br />

The price was great, but the workmanship was not all that good. This company seems to specialize in chimney work, and they are probably OK for that because you can't really see most chimneys up close so sloppy mortar joints aren't really visible.  Patching a large hole in existing brick is a bit of an art, though, and their mason did not really have the skills to do this properly. <br /> The man who did the estimate was thorough and helpful, and although he was late, he called to let me know.  He promised to email me a written quote in a couple of days.  When the quote did not arrive, I tried emailing him and got no answer. After several days of this, I called the company and was told that their computer was down, but that Oscar (the owner) would come by my houses the next day and bring the written quote. <br /> Oscar arrived as promised, and said he was able to do the work that same day, so I let him. He and one other mason completed the tasks. <br /> He reset some loose stones in a flagstone sidewalk and filled in missing mortar. That work looked OK, though not great, as the mortar didn't really match the existing. The flagstones were irregular in shape, so the mortar joints didn't have to be perfect. I also had him brick in a hole that was left when we removed a heat/air conditioning unit that was built into the wall when a room was added onto the house.  While the color of the brick was a good match, the bricks were not laid exactly straight, and the mortar joints were not tooled to match the surrounding joints, so the patch looks sloppy. There was also a lot of excess mortar on the bricks, which left a white haze. <br /> I complained to Oscar that I was not happy with the brick work. He agreed to come out and clean the bricks, which he did, but he would not do anything about the crooked bricks. <br />
