"Hello, my name is Jacob Quick, managing partner for Metro St. Louis Construction. Thank you so much for the glowing report. It is our sincere hope, every customer, of ours, has the same experience you did. In this fast paced world, so many people don't take the time to tell someone "job well done" and even fewer people take the time, just to say "thank you". With that in mind, from all of us here at Metro, " thank you so very much for choosing Metro St. Louis Construction to replace your roof." We look foreword to working with you in the future. Sincerely, Jacob S. Quick"
"I appreciate Member's input. We want to learn ways to grow and increase customer satisfaction. We will work on our communication. Communication is the one thing that is siscussed in every company meeting. We would ask that Member and anyone reviewing this review, to take into account, we had a fire gut our entire office, in mid-November, it was a total loss. The most important thing we lost was information. this caused us nearly three weeks in overall production delays. However, proper communication with the customer would have provided better peace of mind. Once again, thank you for the feed-back, we will continue to strive for improvement in all we do. I invite the customer to call the office at 314-567-4557 and ask for me; Jacob Quick, managing partner, if there is any way to make this a more successful project. Sincerely, Jacob S. Quick"
"My name is Jacob Quick. I am co-owner and a managing partner for Metro St. Louis Construction. I would like to take a minute to address the concerns posted by the member. Metro St. Louis Construction has never been contracted with the member. However, we did locate a work agreement between us and a different person at where the member was listed on personal checks that were submitted for payment. We will consider her a party with a vested interest. I am aware of this particular job as I am the one who had to approve it since it fell too far below our normal retail pricing. I am also the person that handles the production portion of this business. This is the first time I have learned of any concerns regarding this project. I am sure I could have addressed the concerns much better, and sooner, had I heard of them at the time of the project completion in August. We used 30 year laminated Architectural style shingle due to an un-availability of the 30 year 3-tab due to color choice. This is the first time I have heard of a complaint to a no-charge upgrade for a shingle that matches the existing house shingles. I am also under the understanding that the other person was made aware of and approved the change. I am sorry for any confusion. Our roofing crew is paid as a sub-contractor, something we proudly display in our initial presentation, to reduce everyday overhead cost and save our customers money. All of the sub-contractors are thoroughly vetted prior to hiring. I have worked exclusively with this crew for over five years and think Mr. Yanez (our sub-contractor) would be very upset by such a derogatory remark about his race, considering he has lived here for more than 30 years and worked very hard to gain his legal U.S. citizenship all those years ago. Not to mention, he mentors Latino immigrants on obtaining legal citizenship and makes all of his own workers provide proof of a legal right to work and clean criminal backround check. It is insulting to me personally that the member would insinuate that unless she saw the "whites of our eyes" that she would have received anything less than a timely and professional project. Furthermore, for her to say she was "being taken" is inflammatory and unsubstantiated. We were in a signed agreement. We were not made aware by the other person that any gutter apron was requested, is not on the contract and is therefore chargeable as an extra. The entire project was completed in under 3 hours in a manner exceeding local industry standard and there were no departures made from the job site, with the exception of going to get the gutter flashing. We also have a signed certificate of completion between Metro St. Louis Construction and he stating that he was satisfied with the project. I believe that had we ever actually met her, much of this could have been avoided. I find it unfortunate that the first time I have ever heard of someone is in an email were the livelihood of my business could be adversely affected without the benefit of actually having met, spoken to or contracted with that person. I am happy to make myself available to the member at her convenience to arrive at an amicable solution to her concerns and can be reached at 314-489-0845. I hope that she will be able to join the hundreds of satisfied customers instead of the one unhappy customer of all of 2009. Sincerely, Jacob S Quick"
