Mark was quick to arrive within a realistic timeframe on a weekend evening. He quoted a price and stuck to it. Pleasant and accomodating. I highly recommend him!

I cannot recommend Mark more! We called him for a dishwasher installation and pipe repair. He quoted us reasonably - and was generous with his work and time when what we thought was a simple job turned out to be much more complicated. He was absolutely a pleasure to work with - communicative about the issue and his solution, flexible with scheduling, and just an all-around nice guy. We will not be hesitating to call him in the future - our go-to-guy for all plumbing needs.

We were most impressed with Mark's efficiency, expertise and the ease with which he explained how the problem occurred, our options, and how to maintain an optimal system going forward. He also let us know we could call him anytime with any issue or question. We don't remember the last time we got such excellent service and recommend him highly!

I had no hope of reaching anyone on a Saturday night but found Mark on Angie's list. He was quick to respond and promptly fixed the problem. Moreover, he was extremely customer-oriented and reasonable. I highly recommend him!

What I thought was a huge problem ended up being a minor one that Mark was able to detect quickly.

All installations and repairs were made to our satisfaction. The price was quite reasonable for the amount of work done. Mark addressed our concerns and answered all of our questions. Quite knowledgeable.

Mark showed up on time, and did a great job for a very fair price. I really appreciated that he wasn't cagey about the cost, as so many plumbers and "router" businesses are. My job was simple, but while he was here he took a call from a potential customer and every answer I overheard included the cost. Very refreshing in this age of bait and switch!

I had a leak under my sink with water pouring out. Also a leaky washer and warm but not hot water in two showers. I called Mark and he was incredibly responsive, set up a time at my convenience. He is a very young guy, but incredibly knowledgeable. You gotta love that Scottish brogue!! My kitchen sink is a great example of what to expect from him, it was simply a hose that needed tightening. He showed me the problem, including how to fix it myself in the future and fixed it in about 2 minutes. With the washer, he told me it was an issue for the manufacturer, which I appreciated. He was able to quickly turn my warm shower into a hot one. I appreciate his honesty and expertise, he was great. He is the one I will call if I need a plumber again.

My plumber, Mark, was extremely professional, communicative, and did excellent work. He went out of his way to work around my schedule and explain every step of the process to me. The new install was done quickly and was certainly done better than whoever installed the last one. I would absolutely recommend MFS for anyone looking for a plumber.

Mark came to me from a friends recommendation for their water heater replacement and they were correct. Was a perfect experience. He came and was probably a little surprised by having to do a little extra work than expected but came through regardless in all aspects. A++

Mark was effective and professional. After examining the situation he charged us half the original fee as only half the work needed to be done. The spigot looks great and his assistant tightened up a loose hose without even being asked. Terrific guys.

Simply put: Mark is a true professional and a good man. Something in short supply in the service industries today. Let's start at the beginning: We bought a house very recently. We knew there may be an issue behind the shower wall, but had no idea how bad. Turns out one of the pipes leading to some side-wall jets was leaking. Water was coming in at the base of the wall in the shower (through the grout). I hired a plumber. He wanted $800 to cap the pipe and would not fix the wall after busting through. I settled for a disabled handle so those jets could not be turned on. He did a couple other jobs on our list, but failed to do one and left another incomplete. For a month I asked him to return. Around that time, the disabled valve failed. Water went back into the leaky pipes and started coming through the walls again; this time in a different area, because I had sealed up the leaky area when I thought there would be no more water going there. Stupid, I know... but the plumber came back and saw water in a new area and never surmised that it may be the old problem, now getting worse. In the process of trying to solve a "new" leak, he broke another handle's volume control valve (which I had to run to a plumbing parts supply store to buy and replace to stop a new leak created by the broken valve) and did the worst, sloppiest putty sealing job I have ever seen on the temperature handle, believing that a loose handle was allowing water behind the wall and that must be the new leak. He was here for over 4 hours, didn't properly identify the leak, broke a valve and refused to replace it saying finding the right part was a pain, and completely slathered up a wall with caulk leaving an unsightly mess. Time to find another plumber. Enter Mark. I found him online that night and sent a note. Within minutes I got a text from him, very cordially saying 'thanks for the email, let's chat tomorrow. The next morning, we discussed - in detail - the ongoing situation. I texted him photos of the shower to explain the multiple jets and handles and where the leak was coming from. Right off the bat he complimented me on the thorough explanation and photos. Far from the other plumber that treated me like a nuisance, refusing to return to complete the original job. Our estimate visit was set for the following (next day) morning, but he came over after hours later that evening. He spent an hour with me -at the end of a long day- just trying to identify the leak source. The next day, I contacted the previous homeowner and he drew a diagram and explained where the piping lies behind the walls for these jets. I sent the image to Mark and he knew exactly what to do. We discussed together and both agreed on the solution. He came over the next day to work and was done in a few hours. He also brought his tile guy who put my walls back together, and even came back on a Saturday to finish the grouting! Well, turns out that the pipes were only half the problem. There was also bad grouting everywhere that was absorbing water. In the end, I hired a contractor to strip the walls back to studs and rebuild the entire shower. When the walls were gone, Mark came over as a courtesy to check all the now-visible pipes. He had remained in contact with me throughout the situation and came back one more time to make sure everything was solid before rebuilding. That is the mark of a true pro. Now, a couple months later, we found a new issue in our Kohler Hatbox toilet. He came over, diagnosed the problem, helped me order the right part on the phone, and is coming back to replace the part once it arrives. All components of this toilet are UNDER the bowl! It is not an easy task to get in there and it is dirty – but he did it with a smile. I leave this longer-than-average review to tell you that I have had a horrible experience with a problem left to me by the previous owners that was mishandled, misdiagnosed, and made worse by the first plumber… and then I found Mark. Too many people in the service industry just show up to do a job and don't care. They don't care if you call them again. If you don't, someone else will. Mark has chosen to go a different route, striving to build a happy client base for life. He will take his time, talk to you, explain the problem, and then fix it. Properly. And if it isn’t fixed, he’ll stick with you until it is. He also works with phenomenal people that are there to make things look great again, after the dirty job is done. Mark is a master plumber and has worked - literally - all over the globe for 20 years. New York is so lucky to have him now. If you want a true professional that knows his stuff, will respect you - AND give you a fair price, this is your plumber. If you want a jerk to come over, do a half-*** job, then ignore you for a month and return only to make a problem worse, I know another guy.

Mark did a fantastic job of installing the new dishwasher. I'm in a 70-year-old building, with 35-year-old kitchen counters. Getting the dishwasher to fit into the space and run properly required a lot of imagination, and Mark figured it out. He's a professional and his work is excellent. While he was working on the dishwasher, he also upgraded some of the kitchen plumbing, so now we're in great shape. He's a real professional!

There are four pillars to good service: communication, quality, reliability and fair pricing. Bottom line - Mark hit all four at an incredibly high level...not only did he prove himself to indeed be a master plumber but also a master service provider. After a few not so successful experiences in the past, I am happy to say I have found my go to for all plumbing needs and I recommend MFS with my highest confidence. Details - I had a clogged drain which I was unsuccessful at snaking myself and proved to be a bit more complicated than initially thought, requiring some replacement plumbing. Mark responded to me immediately and his communication throughout the process was incredible. He made allowances to conform to my schedule, coming out on a Sunday even though it wasn't an emergency (and not charging emergency prices!). When the job required more than we had anticipated, Mark arranged to come back two days later, again convenient to my schedule, and completed the repair/replacement of some plumbing while clearing the pipes. Professional and superb quality of work, Mark was also wonderfully pleasant and enjoyable to work with. I was not able to be present for the final repairs on the second visit so Mark actually sent me pictures of the work upon completion and a video of the water vortexing down the drain! His final price for the two visits and work was very fair, I could not have been more pleased with the whole experience.

Included in the price of the 50 gallon water heater I needed was the plumbers picking up the new water heater, transporting it to my home, navigating the steps down to the basement, and taking away the old water heater. All for the price on the receipt for the new water heater. What Mr. Simpson charges for is the installation of the new water heater and the peace of mind that comes with having a master plumber do a masterful job. Articulate, polite, and efficient, he made me aware of everything he was doing every step of the way. He is obviously a person who takes pride in his work. Mr. Simpson's work comes with a guarantee to amend any problem that arises. A guarantee I have not needed to avail myself of, but appreciate nonetheless. I am thoroughly satisfied with the job he did, and recommend him as an honest tradesman.
